I went with friends who are huge fans, I had never heard of them. I had a ball!!! Very energetic. We are actually going to work with the manager to get them to the Harborfest in South Haven, MI. There's nothing like South Haven in the summer time.
I have always heard of Cowboy Mouth, but had never listened to their music. My wife and I made last minute anniversary plans for Saturday night. We went to the House of Blues in Chicago to see Cowboy Mouth, and was completely blown away!!!!! Fred is quite the front man, really involves the crowd!!!! Hell, he had us jumping and dancing so much that I thought we were going to end crashing through the floor to the bar below!!!!!! Great job Cowboy Mouth!!!!! I would/will highly recommend anyone to see them!!!!!!!!

Thank God Junior Brown was the opening act! Although only an hour long, this man entertained us with the most creative guitar playing I've ever seen. Hardly a second separated each song they played. He's Rock a Billy, Country and Rock all rolled up in his custom made......whatever it is! What's extremely unique is that his 3 piece band can transport their entire equipment as carryon luggage. 1 snare drum and symbol, 1 electric bass and Junior's combo rhythm/steel guitar gave us more pure sound than most other bands. This unpretentious band should have been the head liner but that would have meant that I'd have to sit through an "in your face" band like Cowboy Mouth.
Fred, the leader singer and drummer, is there for one reason, and one reason only: to make the crowd party like there's no tomorrow! They play hard and loud. Fred makes sure everyone has a good time and he will keep urging you on to get louder. Fred is from New Orleans, so last night was crazier than usual, with the crowd feeling Mardi Gras, in 20 degree Michigan, and all cheering for a Saints Superbowl win. The rest of the band threw beads and picks to the crowd all night. The whole band plays great, and joins the fun. They mix it up. The lead guitarist did a number that sounded like Blink-182 ( I just saw them this summer) but I didn't recognize it. Later, they threw in a bit of Zep's "When the Levee Breaks". Awesome! Fred certainly has the power of Bonham, and I am a die-hard Zep fan from the 70's, so I really mean what I'm saying. I lost count of how many broken sticks he threw over his shoulder. You must EXPERIENCE Cowboy Mouth to truly appreciate them! They are best in live concert, so catch a show while tickets are cheap.
Cowboy Mouth is by far my favorite band to see in concert. They are absolutely fantastic! Even if you don't know their music, it doesn't really matter because they get you involved anyway. They are great at helping you to forget everything else and enjoy the moment while you're there. You really do leave the concert feeling 1000 times better than when you went in. I would recommend Cowboy Mouth concerts to anyone, and I will go back the next time they're in Orlando.
As always, Cowboy Mouth put on a fantastic show emphasizing the power of love, rock and roll, and catharsis. A never-miss band!
I´m from Germany and it was the very first time to see Cowboy Mouth live, have been really impressed....great band with great musicians...
Cowboy Mouth makes you have a good time. If you come out of this event and didn't have a good time, then you weren't there!!!!
We didn't really come in til they were setting up for CM, as thats who we came to see..and this is probably my 20th or more time seeing them live. I love the energy, the chemistry between Fred and JTG, It TRULY was a Mardi Gras party, complete with not knowing if you were going to get hit in the head with something! (lol). No disappointments - we left hoarse, tired, and happy. If you've never seen a Cowboy Mouth show - its glorious. We became fans accidentally seeing them with a band called Better than Ezra a few years ago and have followed ever since..we were even on the rock boat with them last year! They're amazing, this show was no exception! :)
Cowboy Mouth came to party and celebrate Mardi Gras! I experienced a first seeing Fred strum his guitar....awesome show and Center Stage is such a great venue.
Jr Brown was awesome!!! I wish he would have played more than an hour. Cowboy Mouth had a hard act to follow but they were fun to watch.
Ok, first i would like to say that Junior Brown is very talented. But i really don't like his type of music (classic country) and i don't understand why these bands were paired. Now let me tell you about how i came across Cowboy Mouth. I was working in a bar, and i heard a song from the 90s that i remembered. But i didn't recall the name of the band, so i looked up the lyrics (like i always do when i don't know the band name) for "Janie Says". After that i looked up the band, I seen that the lead singer was the drummer! Then i looked up some videos of the band, and i was really impressed. So i have been waiting for them to come to Atlanta for a while now. This band utilizes the most audience participation i have ever seen at a rock show. At one time the Lead singer/drummer walked down through the crowd and up to people who where sitting down, and made them get out of their seats. High energy, in your face action with the intention of making all your worries and troubles disappear. Even only for one night. I pity the concert goer who has never witnessed a show of this magnitude. I am a music lover, the kinda guy who knows the name of the song, and who sings it, what year it came out, and what album it was on.....But don't take my word for it, go see for yourself.
Junior Brown was OK...the guy can play the guitar but he needs another guitarist and some back up singers. The drummer and bass guitarist just didn't seem interested in the whole affair. Cowboy Mouth, on the other hand, once again provided an unbelievable show!! My hands are sore from clapping, I have a sore throat, and my knees hurt from jumping up and down! Not to mention the ringing in my ears!! Unbelievable!!!
As always, high energy and amazing. I know it's kind of cheesy to say that they do "positive" music, but you really do walk out of there feeling glad to be alive.
Junior Brown was amazing, Cowboy Mouth was spectacular (as usual).
LOVED the show at The Bluebird Theater in Denver! Have seen CM there 3 times, but this was the first time I've seen their Mardi Gras show. AWESOME!! THEY ROCKED THE HOUSE, as always!
Cowboy Mouth always puts on a great show and this one was no exception. I would rank them with 5 Stars except that the sound was off for the first few songs.
I've seen Cowboy Mouth every time they've been in LA in the last 5 years and their show just gets better and better! I don't usually jump and scream at a concert, but every single time I see Cowboy Mouth I can't stand still. This band is amazing!
We took family with us last night and they enjoyed the show and of course we had a blast.. They always put a great performance on. Thanks Cowboy Mouth!!
