We really enjoyed the entire day! It was nice as everything seemed to flow well. Really enjoyed opportunity to meet the newer artists and get autographs. We were told there was not to be smoking, but people by us were smoking. Event Staff didn't seem to want to do anything about it.

    Awesome Show

by Clubsporto on 6/12/12Cricket Wireless Amphitheater - Bonner Springs

Sunny Sweeney and Gary Allan stole the show. Loved the venue, the workers, and great music. Just wish they'd let us bring beer to the back stage. Keep rocking Sunny!!

    Not worth the money

by klc711 on 6/6/12Hoosier Park Racing & Casino (Indianapolis) - Anderson

It was the most disorganized event I have ever attended. The tickets said 3:00, so we left home early in the morning and thought we would be home at a decent time. The main event did not start until 7:30. No program available. You had to ask someone what was going on and you would get a different answer everytime. People who paid general admission were allowed to stand in front of people who had paid for VIP Party. The program was shortened due to weather approaching. We went to see Gary Allan last year at Hoosier Park and it was great. This was a disaster and a total waste of money.

Very impressed with sound quality at the concert. The programmers kept performers pretty much on time and kept the night going. Nice variety of drinks and food available in the concert area. Great place for a show!

    like a mini CMA Fest

by ajshat on 6/5/12Hoosier Park Racing & Casino (Indianapolis) - Anderson

The Country Throwdown Tour is wonderful especially for those that cannot afford to go to Nashville, TN, for the CMA Fest. This tour is like a mini fest. The performers are excellent. The artists on the National Guard stage are great up and comers in their career, and it is a great premise to see them on this stage. I love the Bluebird cafe stage because those that have never been to the bluebird itself get a taste of what it would be like to go there. I enjoyed hearing the songs by Rose Falcon and Channing Wilson especially. Plus it was nice that they got to perform again in between acts while the stage hands were changing the stage for the next act. The only complaint I would have, and it is very minor would be that I thought Josh Thompson's sound was a little too loud. You could feel the drum beat on your chest, and I do not like that feeling. Rodney Atkins was the absolute best! The audience loved him, and so did I! He is an awesome performance. Rodney did one thing that was really considerate, he made sure when someone from the audience came up to take their picture by the stage that he got behind them, so he was part of their picture. The only other performer I have ever seen do that is Alan Jackson. And I have been to just about every country artists concert there has ever been, so I know it is very rare for a performer to do that, and Rodney did that throughout his whole concert. Thank you, Rodney, for that. That makes those pictures mean so much more to them! Gary Allan, what can you say? He is just the greatest. He came on while it was still raining, but was a trooper, and kept going. I know he did all of his hits first and quickly just in case he did have to quit because of the rain, but thankfully the rain finally went away, and he was able to do his whole show. Gary is a great singer, and a great performer. He makes what he does look so easy and natural, but not all of us can do what he does. He keeps it country for one thing, not rock and roll, which I really appreciate. I do not mind the country rocking, but I do not like LOUD, country rocking. LOUDER IS NOT BETTER! Wish more "country" artists would realize that to get the audience's attention you do not have to play LOUD! Just asked George Strait, Alan Jackson, or Reba! They know their music does not have to deafen you. If you have the talent, you don't have to resort to that. The country throwdown is a great concept, and I hope it is continued for a long, long time I plan on going to see it at least 2 more times!
