Concert was great - wish Gary would've been on stage longer...
Second concert of the year for me, and this was way better then the Lady Antebellum concert. Great music by both the 3 main bands and the 6 others that i heard. Would love to go to another
We got there around 7:30. We had to drive in from Buffalo, NY. Josh Thompson was on stage and he was very enjoyable and very personal with the crowd. Next was Rodney Atkins who was out-of-this-world. He worked the crowd very well and even brought a little boy up on stage. He had him sing a bit with him and then gave him a microphone stand with no microphone. It just so happens, I'm friends on FB with his mother and she told me that they will buy a microphone and that the little boy slept with the stand. Then the headliner came on. Gary Allan was the reason I drove the 5 hrs. I've been a fan since 1999 and have all his CD"s. I just feel as though he is very under-rated in the country music business but has quite a following. He came out and sang"Watching Airplanes" and then proceeded to sing song after song with stopping to talk to the crowd. He may have said 10 words the whole evening. I know that that was stop 4/5 and he may have been tired. Sang all of his hits and the crowd sang to to each song. I wanted to hear some new music from his up-coming CD but we didn't hear any. All in all, he was great to listen to, look at but threw all the guitar picks to one side and most of the crowd never had a chance to get one. He has always been my fav country singer and when we left, my friend and I were surprised at how few people were there. It was at a baseball field so it was very casual. People were tail-gating in the parking lot and because we got there late, we had to park by the buses which was not a bad thing. We had a blast and would go again. Maybe next time replace Josh Thompson with someone else. Gary Allan, like I said, sang good and looked great.
What a great day! Ending with Josh Thompson, Rodney Atkins, and Gary Allan! Was a great concert. My man, Gary Allan, performed all my favorites plus some! Loved it and will definitely look into next years Country Throw Down there!
it was actually my daughter and her boyfriend that went to the show. They definately enjoyed the show. Florida Georgia Line was their favorite act. They were disappointed in Sunny Sweeney and said that she was very "snobby".
Gary Allan and Rodney Atkins were awesome!! I would definitely see them again!
The actual show was great, Gary Allan was awesome as usual, Justin Moore was fantastic, and Josh Thompson was great. The drunks really ruined the event for me. I personally don't understand why people feel they have to get so drunk they are out of control and won't remember how obnoxious they were. People were walking around with two large cups of beer, bouncing off seats and people, sloshing their beer on other people. There was no checking of tickets so people with lawn seats were moving into seats in the front. It was chaos. I took my 11 year old to the show the night before at the Meadowbrook in NH; if I had taken him to the show in Bangor we would have had to leave, there is no way I could have subjected him to what was going on. It could be a great venue with less alcohol consumption, and some seating control.
Rodney Atkins was great. GARY was AMAZING! A little disapointed that he did not play a new song or two, but I still LOVE hearing the older stuff. He played a good mix of songs that don't get concert time...usually. Loved the suit too!!! Completely enjoyed the show even though it was not even 60 and it rained most of the day.
I was looking forward to this concert for months. We only stayed for an hour cuz the weather sucked. Even though we had seats it was cold and rainy. Had a hard time enjoying ourself so we left.
I think it's wonderful that this tour is bringing some of the best that Nashville has to offer to towns & cities across the USA. I loved the festival atmosphere this tour had too! I went with 2 others and we all enjoyed ourselves immensely.
I had such a blast listening to all the great country bands and singers!
Gary Allan, Rodney Adkins, & Josh Thompson were great! Some of the "up & coming" artists put on a good show. The artists who played in between sets with only accoustic guitar left me bored. All their music was too low key & ended up being white noise to me, good time to get refreshments. I know everyone has to start somewhere, but if it's not entertaining... Overall I would still pay to see the show again!
Gary is at his best. He is a singer/song writer that gets better with each album. I hope to be seeing him for years to come.
RAINY, WET, FREEZING, Thunder and lightening and we had lawn seats...however...the show was great...a little drawn out with no name talent given the weather and the tickets could have said show started at 5...and not doors open at 3...to avoid an extra 2 hrs out in the rain...BUT again Rodney Atkins and Garry Allen put on a great show!
GARY ALLAN is ONE of my favorite country guys. Unbellievably SEXY voce .PURE COUNTRY SOUND. Has his own UNIQUE STYLE. Seen him several time dating back to when he first began several years ago. NEVER disappointed. JUNE 1ST. RAINY, WINDY , IN THE 50'S. Did it STOP us??????? NO!!!!!!!
Gary Allan is a great artist but he didn't do his normal FULL show. I respect his band but my favorite part of his show is just Gary & his guitar. He also didn't do any new material or covers. I would have went again on June 20th if Gary got to do his full show.
Honestly I only went to see Gary Allan. Didn't get there until around 6pm and didn't watch anyone else. Gary NEVER disappoints!
No one knew who was playing in what stage and when. Let alone that there where two stages that people where playing on. The advertising for this event was VERY misleading. And I was disappointed. I also felt like Gary Allen rushed through his set.
This was a really good concert. The venue was perfect and the entertainment was solid. In particular the Maggie Rose Band was unbelievable. They need to put that girl and her partners on the main stage. Momma’s Daughter will be a hit and the rest will be in the jetstream. I will go back to this place for another show!
DId not like the entire set up with multiple stages. Put all on one stage. Issues with sound when Gary was ready to come on. Caused it to be a much later concert. Was by no means a sold out venue. Only 50% maybe at best. Would not go back again. Prefer other venues for concerts
