Connecticut Sun History
The Connecticut Sun are an American professional basketball team in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Launched as the Orlando Miracle in 1999, the franchise was purchased in 2003 by the Mohegan Tribe, who became the first Native American tribe to own a professional sports team, and moved them to their current home in Uncasville, Connecticut. The Sun have advanced to four WNBA Finals, in 2004, 2005, 2019 and 2022, and topped the Eastern Conference five times. Sun players have earned six All-WNBA First Team selections and two MVP awards, for Tina Charles in 2012 and Jonquel Jones in 2021. In both 2023 and 2024, the Connecticut Sun advanced to the first round of the WNBA postseason.

Mohegan Sun Arena, home of the Connecticut Sun, sits inside the Mohegan Sun casino and resort in Uncasville, Connecticut. The 9,323-seat facility opened in 2001 and has hosted a wide range of events from concerts to wrestling event to bull riding competitions. Mohegan Sun Arena has also held several WNBA Finals matches, as well as WNBA All-Star games, in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2013 and 2015.

Had the best time at the game so glad it was a close game for a long time was very exciting and the seats are always great in there because it’s not a huge arena. Love, love, love and hoping to get tickets to Connecticut Sun when they go to next round.

It was my 1st game, I really enjoyed myself and the atmosphere was great. Everyone was nice from fellow fans to employees.
The tickets were not worth what I paid for 8 of them.
We are big fans of the Connecticut sun and recently moved came back to town to watch a game. We were in the upper level. It was absolutely freezing cold. The air conditioning was on too much. Everyone was complaining about it. No one did anything about it. We had to leave the game in the middle of the fourth quarter. I was taking the towels that were given out for free and wrapping my arms to keep them warm.
I had the awesomeness time ever, the game was sooo exciting and everyone was on edge towards end of the game.. The arena had a full crowd and was hyped! I came from South Jersey to see the game, I just wish they had shot one of those t-shirts in my direction 😂
I was super excited to attend this game and cannot wait to be able to go back and enjoy more games in the future ☺️
We enjoyed the game, or at least what we were able to see of it. We arrived more than 45 minutes before game time, and spent 90 minutes in line waiting to get in. Spent as much time in line as we did in our seats. Missed the entire first quarter. Very, very poorly handled. For as long as the Sun have been playing here, and given the price ticketmaster had us pay, our wait was unacceptable.
Despite arriving more than one half hour early, the entry was extremely slow and we were not able to get into the arena and to our seats until 15 minutes after the game started. Game was enjoyable and fans were obviously passionate. But this entry procedure needs to be improved significantly. Also the store had very limited choices for purchase. Needs more variety.
Good time supporting the Sun without breaking the bank. The venue was clean and the staff was friendly. We had a partial obstruction, but I knew that when I bought the tix. I’ll get better seats next time. Looking forward to next season. Go Sun!
Great venue (good concessions, clean, great views) and amazing team! The game was everything I expected and more! I would get season tickets if I lived closer!
This was my first WNBA game and it completely made me a fan. I absolutely loved it.
I wish they played at TD more often. Had an amazing time. Hope to go to another game again.
Living in Maine, I cannot feasibly attend a WNBA game without traveling at least 300 miles. Attending my very first WNBA game at TD Garden was a rare opportunity and it far exceeded my expectations! The building was packed, the atmosphere was electric, and the game was excellent. It was so exciting to see the athletes I have been following for years play in person. I, and many others I’m sure, would love to see more games at The Garden in the future!
It was awesome and sold out (on a Tuesday to boot). Great game and entertainment during time outs and halftime! Bring a team to Boston!
The energy before (at the block party and in the concourses), during (even when there were scoring lulls), and after was unbelievable. The place was deafeningly loud. Do it again!
This event was one of the best I've been to at the Garden- the game was competitive, the entertainment top-notch, and the crowd was electric- and stayed until the very end, more than I've seen at Celtics games! Cant wait for the next WNBA game at the Garden!
So fun to see the Sun at TD Garden. The facility is great. They need to have more elevators or escalators. My companion had surgery recently and there were too many stairs to deal with. The train access is super and makes getting there and getting home a breeze. I wish they would loosen up the bag policy a little, using a 4”x6”x1.5” purse was a challenge. The basket ball was awesome, as usual.
My daughter and I attended this game and it was a blast! The crowd was amazing, the game was awesome. We would absolutely go to a WNBA game at TD Garden again.
