About

The CONCACAF Gold Cup™ is the biennial nations championship for North and Central America and the Caribbean, and is the confederation's premier event. The Gold Cup evolved from a series of championships in the region dating back to 1941. It began in its current structure in 1991. At times, the CONCACAF championship also served as a qualifier for the World Cup, but since its inception, the Gold Cup has been an independent championship irrespective of other tournaments. However, once every four years, the winner of the Gold Cup serves as the region's entrant to the FIFA Confederations Cup. Initially an eight-team event, the Gold Cup finals have grown into a 12-nation championship with countries qualifying from the three regions of CONCACAF, North America, Central America (UNCAF) and the Caribbean (Caribbean Football Union). The tournament features the best players from the region, and between 1996- 2005 included guest teams from South America, Africa and Asia.
The United States and Mexico have each won four Gold Cup titles with Canada claiming the one other crown. From a relatively modest 40,000 that witnessed the first Gold Cup final at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 1991, when the United States outlasted Honduras on penalties 4:3, the Gold Cup has grown to the region's most anticipated soccer event, routinely drawing a capacity crowds.

    Parking Surcharge is Outrageous

    by Bob G on 7/15/23

Give me a break on your parking surcharge. You provide NO additional value and double the cost of parking. For what?? There is minimal parking staff. They cannot answer any questions. Your ticket provide no information as to where to enter and go to which parking area. Lot's are color coded but your parking permit offers no information once purchased. You had ZERO parking control after the event. 1 hour to leave the lot. No coordination with the City on the approach coming into the venue. The price is outrageous. You are just ripping off the customers, because you are Ticketmaster and we have no choices. 10% would be fair for using your electronic system. Anything more is usury.

I am disabled and sat in ADA section 103. GREAT seats. They even finished the game right in front of us.

    Concacaf gold cup 🏆

    by Natasha Fernandez on 7/15/23

First time at Concacaf in the allegiant stadium. It was pretty easy to navigate for such a big place, all the staff and security were so helpful and nice. Field was so clear you could see the game pretty good from anywhere. Once the game started the staff allowed people to sit wherever wasn’t filled. Definitely enjoyed it and will look forward to the next one. Go Reggae Boys 🇯🇲

    Hot mess

    by Mexi fan on 7/15/23

This is not the first time I've attended this stadium. They threw away my 2 water bottles at the entrance. Last time I was able to bring them in. I was told by security that there would be free water inside. It was toilet water and no cups. Saw a handful of people being attended by first aid having a heat stroke. When I went to purchase a drink there were big ass lines every where. I watched half of the game on my assigned seat the rest I was trying to keep cool.

    Great time

    by SkinFlix on 7/15/23

Great experience and atmosphere! Didn’t care for the lack of clocks to identify stoppage time and was concerned about the exit at the east gate. Big back up to get out. But it was a great night and the staff was very engaged with making it so!

    Underwhelming performance

by Sr. Futbol fan on 7/15/23

This is not Ticketmaster’s fault. If I had known the U.S. team was going to be playing B rated players I would not have gone. I paid a lot of money for these tickets. U.S. Men’s National team: play your best players or don’t call it the men’s National team. Call it something else!!

    Good game-ticket uncertainty

    by DU8 on 7/15/23

The venue and the game was good. The ticket buying experience a bit challenging. Bought my ticket the day before the event. Didn’t receive it until 2 hours before event start. Had to contact AXS where I bought it and then suddenly had tickets transferred. I didn’t pay attention to the actual seats but once I arrived at the venue I noticed my tickets were not for the location I asked for. The seats were lower level vice the 300 level with the problem being I was now in the sun on a hot day. The reason I paid for the 300 tickets was to avoid the heat and have shaded seats. Good seats but was not in the hot sun for most the game. Overall a good experience but not what I had planned on for seating.

Snap dragon needs shade! Ticket was easy to use, good food, good drinks, not enough water or ice available.

The event was awesome!! The parking was awful !!

    by Maxcalavera on 7/15/23

I thought that the access to parking lots would be better than the years of Qualcomm. No improvements, going in and out from parking lot is just stressful.

    Room for Improvement

    by Petunia on 7/15/23

Snapdragon Stadium is a really nice venue. However, the sound system needs some work. While watching the match, it was very difficult to understand the announcer...really poor! We noticed this before when attending a San Diego Wave match.

    USA vs Cananda @TQL

    by M. C. on 7/12/23

Great experience but needs a more efficient way to let people inside the stadium. Everyone was pushing eachother to get in. There were “lines” but as soon as they opened the gates everyone ran up shoving anyone in there way.

    Not great experience

    by Keek on 7/11/23

We had a Blue Lot parking pass and it still took 1.5 hours to get into the stadium because of the traffic once we arrived.

    Fees

    by Middle class on 7/8/23

Just a real bummer the fees are half the price of an already expensive ticket. Just doesn’t seem right to charge so much for a simple transaction.

    Lack of respect

    by MARI100 on 7/7/23

I had a lot of fun watching the soccer game. First time at a gold cup. What's a little upsetting is the Fans were throwing beer and cups everywhere. As a fan myself, I'm very saddened by this. They left trash everywhere, drunk people around young kids and lack of security tracking all of that and being there to help. Was disappointing. Couldn't get to my seat it was so packed and had to wait till the 2nd half cause they didn't let me throw. Standing there for over an hour. The game itself was Awesome!!!!

    CONCACAF Gold!

    by Stevie on 7/6/23

Had a wonderful time at the game watching the USA team dominate! The Honduras team had fans that were electric and rocking! Good way to see another perspective at a world event such as football. Definitely would love to see Charlotte host more National or International games in the future!
