The CONCACAF Gold Cup™ is the biennial nations championship for North and Central America and the Caribbean, and is the confederation's premier event. The Gold Cup evolved from a series of championships in the region dating back to 1941. It began in its current structure in 1991. At times, the CONCACAF championship also served as a qualifier for the World Cup, but since its inception, the Gold Cup has been an independent championship irrespective of other tournaments. However, once every four years, the winner of the Gold Cup serves as the region's entrant to the FIFA Confederations Cup. Initially an eight-team event, the Gold Cup finals have grown into a 12-nation championship with countries qualifying from the three regions of CONCACAF, North America, Central America (UNCAF) and the Caribbean (Caribbean Football Union). The tournament features the best players from the region, and between 1996- 2005 included guest teams from South America, Africa and Asia.
The United States and Mexico have each won four Gold Cup titles with Canada claiming the one other crown. From a relatively modest 40,000 that witnessed the first Gold Cup final at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 1991, when the United States outlasted Honduras on penalties 4:3, the Gold Cup has grown to the region's most anticipated soccer event, routinely drawing a capacity crowds.

Great venue even better when your team wins lol

by Msoccerfan on 7/19/23Parking experience was awful. Long lines and took forever to get out of the stadium. And it’s $75 to $80 for parking! Food at the stadium same thing. Looong lines and very expensive. Not good at all. Bathroom lines were also ridiculous. Soccer match was great!

by Juan on 7/19/23Took my family to the Mexico vs Panama Gold Cup Final and it was AWESOME! Easy entrance and even for a sold out So-Fi event. We left as soon as Mexico scored with 3 minutes remaining so we got out of the parking lot in 10 minutes! Great setting and great So-Fi staff!

by Burnt on 7/18/23Lots of people even with the empty seats sell out of 31600. Waited on our 3## section seats for 30 minutes after the final whistle. Found a wallet. Found the Security office (SE Corner by the gates) and handed it to the woman there. Found out later the owner now has the wallet. Strong Work! Left the stadium to board the trolley. MASSIVE CARS still in the lot! Made an almost full trolley and back to our station -- easy peasy I believe is the well worn phrase. Good on Panama. Their A team beat our mostly B-C team with an inspired performance. We won't go to a USA game anytime soon unless there is something on the line, and there only was for Panama this time. Hopefully a good part of our ticket price goes to progressing the game in the States. SnapDragon is a Great Place to watch a live Futbol Match!!! Cheers!

by Soccer Mom on 7/16/23We had a great time at the match. The atmosphere was electric and fun being with family and friends. Was not fun getting out of the parking lot. Needed the same staff that directed everyone in, to be there to direct people out. Almost had a few fender benders around us.

by BH44 on 7/15/23The game was great but the venue was horrible. Extremely long lines to get food, no shade anywhere, didn’t have any cell service (T-Mobile) and the traffic was terrible.

by Jo on 7/15/23It was so hot which was not their fault but to not allow people to bring in even sealed water bottles to the stadium during the biggest heat wave is so irresponsible. I realize those are not normally the rules for Snapdragon Stadium but someone really missed the mark on that one. To force people to purchase overpriced concessions instead of bringing in water is so tone deaf and dangerous for those who could faint from dehydration.

To add insult to injury they don’t even have soft serve anywhere in the stadium. Wish I would’ve voted for soccer city at this point. Terrible venue for anything earlier than 6pm

Would definitely recommend going to this stadium, the staff was a little annoying at times constantly asking for our tickets and the people around us even though we had shown them it already.
