  • Reggae on the Bay 2016

by surfingbz on 10/5/16Mandalay Bay Beach at Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

bands were good. Lady Reiko and Sister Carol got the crowd moving, and Common Kings were great as always. But...no Freddie McGregor. No explanation, no reason, just no show...Pretty disappointing as he doesn't do a lot of shows out West...

Lousy. Main artist no show. Will request my money back.

Bad DJ who didn't even know the name of the event. Replaced fortunate youth( the whole reason along with hirie we bought presale tickets) 4 weeks before the event but still had their name everywhere at the event. No show by Freddie McGregor?? No explanation. Very poorly executed event. Frustrated I payed full price for tickets (there was a Groupon made available due to low ticket sales) and booked a trip from washington for this and 2 of the 8 bands originally promoted weren't even there. Venue was great though.

  • Disappointed that Freddie Mcgregor never performed

Freddie Mc Gregor was the only person I really wanted to see this day. Disappointed.

  • J Boog...unexpected surprise!

J Boog and his band were out-of-this world...seriously! So good, so nice.

I didn't know much about this group ahead of time, but, I am so happy that I do now. What great sounds, vibes and musical skills. Will surely look to see them again.

  • Reggae on the bay the best ever

by Rescue626 on 10/4/16Mandalay Bay Beach at Mandalay Bay Resort - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Reggae on the bay was worth the money and trip to Las Vegas from New Mexico. I would recommend this concert to all the reggae music lovers. Was great to have a mix of Jamaica reggae and Island reggae on the same stage. Thank you Mandalay bay for your awesome venue.

Only 6 people in VIP. No more than 100 - 150 total, the acts were ok, but the people actually make a concert great. Perhaps they were all at P Diddy's concert.

  • Common Kings killed it!

by JordanPlayer on 2/25/15House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

The Bronze Peacock room is a much smaller venue than the main area but that made the concert even better. The room was pretty full but you could get close to the front for a good view without any problems. This is as close as I've ever been to the actual band. Opener was good and got the crowd warmed up and then Common Kings brought the house down. Crowd knew the songs and had good energy, Common Kings played many of their most popular songs plus some short clips of rap/other well known songs. One of the best concerts I've been to :)

  • Irieness to Common Kings

by jahken on 8/7/14OC Fair & Event Center - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

Much respect to Common Kings. The vocals were excellent but the music on some songs was average. On some reggae flavored songs purchased from iTunes I could hear the reggae vibes.

  • Common Kings/Tini Grey were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!

by jessimotad on 8/7/14OC Fair & Event Center - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

Common Kings always put on a kickass show and Tini Grey was SUCH a great opening for this concert!! Good vibes and much love shown by performers and the crowd. Ive never felt connected to any artist or group like I do with Common Kings. They make you feel like family rather than just another crowd to perform to. Theyre genuine! Tini Grey opens with GREAT songs and definitely set the tone for the rest of the concert.

  • It was awesome

  • Just freakin' awesome!!

by JBC33 on 8/6/14OC Fair & Event Center - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

What a great great show! Starting with TIni Grey, such a talent! He and his band played a good mix of original songs and covers to get the crowd going! Tini is such a classic entertainer in any venue he plays, but he stepped it up for the big stage. For Common Kings, having been a fan of the band since they started it was amazing to see them come full circle and play a show at home. Their stage presence is fantastic and you can tell them have grown and learned so much! It is exciting to see where they are going. CK is truly on the brink of great things! The place was packed inside and out and they had the whole place jumping!! Awesome job boys! I cannot wait to see what you do next!

  • As usual, the Common Kings and Tini Grey were grea

CRSB opened...they are a lot of fun...Band (CK) was awesome as usual, venue was super crowded. Well behaved but you would be challenged to actually have an unobstructed view of the band. Doors opened at 2000, got there at 1920, bands started at 2100....Super expensive drinks, ok, but not exceptional for 10$ ea..Middle act was a novelty band of kids, getting a chance. Pretty much lost the crown 2 songs in...Video monitors on upper floor for main act were throwing floating horizontal bars most of the show. Good sound (as always in HOB)...Bands members cruised the venue before and after the show, and of course they were super friendly and most accommodating for pics and hugs....Easy access to bathrooms and venue was pretty clean...Parking was comped for first (3) hours, first (5) if you patroned one of the restaurants/ bars...however, by the time we left (after 0030) the parking booths were unmanned ;)
