Come From Away on Tour

The true story of the small town that welcomed the world.

Broadway's COME FROM AWAY has won Best Musical all across North America!

The New York Times Critics' Pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that welcomed them. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

Don't miss this breathtaking new musical written by Tony® nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein, and helmed by this year's Tony-winning Best Director, Christopher Ashley. Newsweek cheers, "It takes you to a place you never want to leave!"

On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.

    Come From Away

by Cindy from Madison, WI on 4/8/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

The Fox Valley Performing Arts Center is beautiful! The staff were friendly and very accommodating. The theater had ample seating with plenty of legroom. I first saw Come From Away on Broadway and vowed I would see it again, if it ever came to my area. The show is riveting and never once did I look at my watch wondering how much time was left. The story it tells is wonderful! I thoroughly enjoyed the show. As did the audience by their immediate standing ovation at the completion of the performance. I would see this musical yet another time!

    This show has is FANTASTIC!!

by KFish on 4/8/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

I went with my husband and two children on Friday night on a last minute whim. We were coming home from Spring break the week before and happened upon the Memorial for Flight 93 in Pennsylvania. While there, I purchased the book ‘The Day the World Came to Town’. The park ranger who sold me the book said that t was his favorite and I should look for the musical based on it. I did a little digging and was stunned to find the show was playing in Appleton the very next week. The family went Friday night (in cheap seats) and my 12 year old daughter and I loved it so much we went again Sunday afternoon with better seats and loved it even more! The show is such a great blend of catchy songs, heartwarming storytelling (by fantastically talented and versatile actors!) and enough wonderful humor to keep sensitive, heavy subject matter light. I’m so glad I hadn’t the totally serendipitous combination of the side trip to the PA memorial, book purchase, show recommendation and Appleton PAC tour dates!! I feel blessed by this show.

My husband and I loved this show from start to finish!

This was unexpectedly one of our favorite shows and we see quite a few. The acting, music, and story of the kindhearted souls in Gander will not be forgotten.

    Incredible in every way

by JanM on 4/5/19Fox Cities PAC - Appleton

This show is simply amazing- what an incredible story told by a group of actors who are extremely talented in their multiple roles. Profoundly moving one moment and laugh out loud funny a bit later. Out of the profound tragedy of 9/11, this show reminds us that each of us is capable of making a difference just by treating others the way we would like to be treated! Don’t miss Come From Away if it comes to your area!

    It ended too soon.

by G. W. on 3/27/19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Fantastic start to the show with Maritime music, Screech and a cod to kiss. The show was 2 hours with no intermission which worried me, but honestly the time flew... too quickly. LAnd then the band played after the show and bows. I would go to it again, except for the price.

    Phenomenal show!!

by Rosanna on 3/25/19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

Absolutely loved everything about the show! Hilarious, heartwarming, foot stomping fantastic! I only have words of admiration. I am from London, UK and a regular theatre goer and never before have I seen a show where the cast is so small and they each took on multiple roles seamlessly. Incredible actors and actresses! Thank you!

Come From Away at the Northern Jubilee Theatre, Edmonton

    by H. Y. L on 3/20/19Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Beautifully performed, with very interesting use of a lazy-susan circulating stage, and fantastic musicians. Pricy tickets, but a great show.

Loved the show. Laughs, tears and pure entertainment. Fast moving with so much energy. With minimal props they had you involved from the minute the show opened. My family and I loved it and would definitely love to see this show again. A++++ to the actors, musicians and all involved.

    Awesome show!

    by J. R. on 3/11/19Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I really didn't know what to expect from this show but had heard the rave reviews so I went. I was awestruck from the beginning and blown away by the town's ability to manage the logistics of coping with the passengers of approximately 36 airplanes all arriving at once. The kindness and generosity of the town's people was unbelievable. I found the show strangely emotional. I laughed, I cried and I felt proud to be Canadian.

    Superb Story/Music/Choreography -lousy sound though

by L. Dee on 3/10/19Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I saw this in New York with the original cast and it was the best life theatre I have ever seen. The touring cast was a bit flat in spots, for me. Much of it had to do with uneven sound quality at the Vancouver Queen Elizabeth Theatre, where a quarter of the dialogue was muffled. But the performance had great energy and my only complaint was overdoing the Texan accent as well as the East-Coast Canadian accents to a point that the poor sound made some of the spoken and sung words unintelligible. Some obvious jokes were not even clear enough for much of my section on the mezzanine level, where other parts of the theatre were laughing because they could hear properly. The female American Airlines pilot was a blockbuster stand out on Broadway but not so with the Vancouver performance that I saw. Some of it was just the very higher character of the voice, and the sound issues, because I think the piece was performed well. I would see this performed again anywhere I can as I absolutely love the production. The writers are absolute geniuses!
