Spectacular doesn't even begin to describe it!

by jk1121 on 1/24/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

This show was not what I intended, which made it even better. The live, onstage, big band was phenomenal, and the dancers could not have been more entertaining. If you appreciate great music and beautiful dancing, this is a must-see!

The Dancing and Band were Great!

by MsVega on 1/24/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

Loved the dancing and band. My only disappointment was that the lyrics were taped and not actually sung.

One hour before the show we realized we had printed tickets for the 2 o'clock show instead of the 8 o'clock one. We live one hour and a half from Chicago. There is no way to contact the theater y phone so we missed the show. Very sorry about that....wished we could ha e reached someone who might have let us come and sit in unsold seats.

Maybe better for a smaller venue? If they were trying to tell the story with dance then they should have focused more on one couple. To many stories going on at once. Maybe change the stage scenery as well.

Come Fly Away was quite a sight!

by meplus3boys on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

It wasn't quite what I was expecting, but the dancing was phenomenal. It was set in a bar and told a little story through various dances of the characters' relationships. The dancing was basically ballet, lyrical and swing with a terrific live band behind them.

    Come Fly Away

This was the best song and dance show ever. All of our group loved it. Too bad there wasn't a DVD for sale. I would have bought it without hesitation.

    Come fly away------OK

by Dacoach47 on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

Theater- Good but one person serving drinks? Come on seating good except for lady in front of me that thought it was a good idea to lean forward the whole performance and block most of my view. Performers were magnificent. however after 20 to 25 minutes of the performance there was not much else they could do different---- and they didn't.

Great show till the strippers arrived

by MsMagnifico on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

The first few dance numbers were great. Something just did not feel right once the dancers started taking their clothes off. Dancing in their bra and underwear, without shirts, just was not Sinatra era style. Yes the dancers were talented, and a woman crawling on the stage in your under clothes is enjoyable (for a guy)... at a strip club. Was really hoping for a cleaner atmosphere. Jeeze even the old ladies behind me were hooting and yelling yeah. That was gross. Oh, since you were in Chicago, the dancers should have performed to Sinatras' "Chicago". My kind of town chicago is, ya think.

    Come fly with me

by WJBi on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

The band was great and the dancers did a fantastic job of non-stop dancing. I questioned the vocals, were they pre-recorded or was it the piano player. It is difficult to mimic Frank Sinatra, very few can do it. it might have been better with a story behind it.

Take flight with Come Fly Away

by Luvdance23 on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

Amazing grace and athleticism of dancers. Choreography really fit the music. Band was great and using Frank's real voice was key. Really enjoyable show. Highly recommend! Don't sit in Balcony here though. Other than first 2 rows we all had to lean forward to see the dancers at front of stage. I would call Balcony obstructed view.

    Sinatra Lives

by FrankieFantoo on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

It was unbelievable how the producers arranged Frank Sinatra's voice/recordings to go along with a live 14 piece band. I really thought Frank was going to walk out on stage. Truly amazing. I was OK with the dancing until the end. Why did one couple go down to their underwear. Was that necessary? What was the point? Sinatra was a showman not an exhibitionist. It didnt make sense

    Come Fly Away

by ssn596 on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

Excellent blend of dancing and music. Not overwhelmed with scenery and stories of the dancers could be better explained in the playbill so you aren't distracted from the awesome abilities of the dancers. Thoroughly enjoyed the band and the sax solos.

I Was Flown To The Moon

by sgmurko on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

Before going into the musical I have had this love for Frank Sinatra(: I saw this at the Bank of America Theater in Chicago and I really didnt know how i was going to like it for the fact there was no words. But there was something to magical and different. The dancing was great, and what was so great about it, it was that they did more than one style of dance, they had jazz, contemparary, classic and jazz and a little tap. The music flowed and the fact that you can have a musical and have the songs of one man tell a story about love that was easy to follow and something so different. I also feel that the running time (about an hour and a half) was the perfect time for no talking and just music. There was no intermission but the musical goes by so fast you dont really need one in the show. I feel that if you love Sinatra you need to see i. If you love dance you should see this. If you love theater you need to see this show.

I love Frank Sinatra and love Twyla Tharp's choreography but the two DID NOT go together at all in this musical. Her choreography worked great for Billy Joel's Movin' Out as his music is active, physical, more rockin' but with Frank Sinatra's music, it just didn't flow at all. There was no story to follow or very difficult to follow, there needed to be some simple dancing verses all this throwing around & physical movements. Needed to just flow smoothly with some lovely, easy going dancing. It was just to "hard" for his music. Truly disappointed as the band was amazing - I kept thinking that at any moment Frank Sinatra would appear. The dancers were great too but again, wish it had been just lovely, smooth, entertaining --- too disjointed and overly active when it didn't need to be at all!!!

Come fly away was very enjoyable.

by Sneezly on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

We took my wife's mother (74) and she had a wonderful time. She stated that it was nice to see something where you know all the music. I may not have known all of the songs, but who doesn't like Frank. The band was awesome and the dancers were very energetic and enthusiastic.

This production has everything -Don't miss

by dbuggy on 1/23/12Bank of America Theatre - Chicago

High energy production from start to finish. Superb sensual modern dancing combined with a cranking full band, not short on soaring solos. Dancers literally fly across the stage with a great choice of lighting and minimal yet totally effective stage sets. And, of course, vocals from the chairman of the board. It's time for a martini!

Dancing got to be repetitive and unorganized. Show is short for the ticket price paid
