  • ALWAYS FUN !!!!!

    by Squire366 on 6/7/17Columbus Civic Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Arena Football is always a fun experience especially if the team is really good and the Columbus Lions are REALLY good. My Fiancé is not a football fan and it took a couple of games for her to warm up to Arena Football but now she wants us to get season tickets for the Columbus Lions 2018 season. Trust me, if you go to a game you WILL have a great time and the ticket prices are very affordable.

This game was my second time watching the Columbus Lions play. I enjoy watching them play and I love the fact that they show their respect for the military. I have now became a Lady Columbus Lions fan. See you all next season.

  • Game is great, announcer overbearing

I have been to most of the Lion's football games for the past 2 seasons. Very enjoyable games and excited they won the championship last year. Great bridge between the end of the NFL season and beginning of the college season. I find the announcer very annoying though constantly yelling and trying to get the crowd to chant "DEFENSE" or to stand up or other things. One game last year he was asking us to do it on the 2nd or 3rd play of the game. I have found that the crowd rarely needs to be encouraged to yell and scream at the moments needed so I usually ended up doing the opposite, just because I was tired of hearing it. I'm not saying don't do it some time, but it is not needed on what seems to be every other play. The game is what excites the crowd to react, not the announcer.

  • Frustrating, Unbearably Annoying Experience

by wombatwolf on 6/16/15Columbus Civic Center - ColumbusRating: 2 out of 5

The athletes seem to be having a great time, and seem to be really enjoying themselves. There is no animosity or fake hostility between teams, which is really cool to see. The problem is, nobody should have to sit through the stadium experience to have to watch it. Literally, and I mean this in the truest sense, literally EVERY SINGLE TIME the ball was not in play, there was some sort of advertisement. And because the field is so small, trust me, there were a lot of times that the ball was out of play. It became unbearable. Truly. "That's a GEORGIA POWER touchdown!" "Every kickoff is a DEL TACO kickoff." Sound like satire? Oh, it's very real. There are ads all over the stands. All over the field. Pregame is filled with advertising gimmicks. Halftime is an advertisement. The whole thing just winds up feeling like a two hour commercial brake with smatterings of occasional football.

  • All of the Excitement WITHOUT the High Prices!

by Najeeb on 4/21/15Columbus Civic Center - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

This was our first time to the professional indoor football league. What a treat! Arena football has all of the action that you could want we saw interceptions, touchdowns, great tackles, lots of high energy. There were plenty of giveaways, halftime entertainment, and stadium food available, even alcohol. You can get there 5-10 minutes before the game have a nice place to park, not real long lines, and yet you can enjoy the game for pennies and help cheer the Columbus Lions onto victory! If our schedules allowed we would definitely become season ticket holders. Great family atmosphere, you can keep any football thrown into the seats what a great souvenir! Not a bad seat in the house even the nosebleeds are close enough.

  • Great time

We had an awesome time! Boom sticks are the worst invention for kids to be given, but other than that, it was a great game.

Great family entertainment at the right price! The kids 10,11, and 15 really enjoyed it. My husband loved the up close, in your face action. Next time (and there will be one for sure), we will read up on the rules, as they are different from the NFL

  • Columbus Lions - Worth Seeing

by brillohead on 7/14/09Columbus Civic Center - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

This was our second Lions game. My son loves sports! His father and I took him to the Lions game last night. It was a lot of fun. Even though the Lions lost, there were some really great plays and we had a lot of high fives. The first time we attended a game, we sat in the most expensive seats (closest to the field). We had fun but, there were a lot of people standing and my son couldn't see well. For last night's game, we purchased tickets in section 102A (at the 25 yard line about a third of the way up). We could see much better. It's funny though, as we were leaving, my son said he preferred the high seats because you could see the game much better. I guess next time we will be in the nose bleed section since he likes the higher view!
