by Moravicky on 12/10/14King Avenue United Methodist Church - ColumbusThe full Gloria (Rutter version) took my breath away with the beauty of sacred song. The new piece, commissioned collaboratively by several gay men's choruses across the country, "New Year's Carol" by Silverstri and Gjielo, was refreshing and reflective. Then, the sassy "Star Search, the 60s & 80s," was riotous fun. We can't wait for Vox on the Rocks with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra!

by CGMC27 on 12/8/14King Avenue United Methodist Church - ColumbusPerhaps I'm biased, since my son was one of the over 100 performers. But it was a spectacular concert--excellent acoustics and phenomenal orchestration. One more performance left this Wednesday night. Wish I could return!

I thought they sang beautifully but there was a lot more "church music" than I expected. I guess I expected a more light-hearted holiday show. If you like choir music, this is a nice show to see.
