About

"Referring to his most recent record, 'Little Songs,' Colter said, "These songs were written over the last three years. I penned most of them from home and I think the songs reflect that. "With the album Little Songs, Colter's music continues to carry on the traditional sounds of his prairie homelands, while connecting a contemporary world to the values, hardships, and celebrations of rural life. He sings, "You might not see a soul for days on them high and lonesome plains. You got to fill the big empty with little songs."

    Eh.

    by bf1985 on 1/22/20Liberty Hall - Lawrence

We saw CW in Omaha last year and he was great there. Very engaging and really seemed happy to be performing. This time, I honestly don't think he interacted with the fans at all, except to say "this is our last song". He seemed annoyed when the crowd got loud and sang along. Vincent Neil Emerson opened and he was a great entertainer. His intro to the songs made you want to listen and hear more. We love checking out different small venues, so while we have been to Wooley's in Des Moines and like that place, we thought we'd check out CW in Lawrence @ Liberty. Plus the choice of a reserved seat is appealing. Apparantly this theater was built when people were 5 feet tall because our legs were in our chests the entire time. Not sure it was worth the upcharge to sit in such an uncomfortable chair with zero! leg room. Luckily we are not large people but others around us were clearly uncomfortable. This venue's ushers need to check seat assignments especially for the front rows because there was so much seat shuffling during the show that it was extremely distracting. the entire front row had to get up at various times because people were sitting in incorrect seats.

Pretty packed and Colter Wall didn’t do an encore.

by Fabledfox on 1/22/20Liberty Hall - Lawrence

The show was pretty packed the general admission area was full so you had to stand under the awning. After going to the bathroom upstairs my buddy and I realized that it sounded better standing on the ramp to the reserved seating. So we just stood there for the second half of Colter Wall. You could actually see perfectly from there too. The thing that pissed me off the most was the fact that the crowd was stomping and cheering for one more song. Someone from back stage shined a flash light at the AV guy signaling to turn on the lights we’re not playing another song. I guess encores are something from movies? I just thought everyone played one more of the crowd was loud enough...

    Good show, tight space

by Tag on 1/22/20Liberty Hall - Lawrence

We enjoyed the show. Our problem was with the cramped seating in the Liberty Hall balcony. I don’t know who the seating was designed for but it’s not for normal sized people. My wife is 5’4 and I’m 6’2 and we had to sit sideways to fit because the rows of seating are so close together. We’ve been to many shows in similar theatre type facilities and never seen such cramped seating. Definitely won’t be doing that again.

    Great Show

by Jillian on 12/10/19The Walker Theatre - Chattanooga

We sat in the second row of the balcony. We could see the whole stage, Colter Wall sounded amazing! For me, the Walker Theatre was better than standing in General Admission at a smaller venue or having a less personal experience of an arena. It had a historical feel that made the vibe that much cooler for this type of music.

    Fantastic show.

by GStone on 12/9/19The Walker Theatre - Chattanooga

The show was amazing. Wade Sapp opening was absolutely great and Colter out on a great show. After the set was finished the crowd was wild and coming out for one more song definitely returned the love. Couldn't ask for a better performance from two talented artists.

Great concert. If you get a chance to see Colter Wall in concert, I highly recommend it. Smooth process buying tickets and using the app for entry at the venue.

    Best, original talent in Knoxville!

by wdunn on 12/7/19Bijou Theatre - Knoxville

Even with balcony seats, the Bijou is an excellent venue. We had a great time, mainly due to Colter Wall's opening act and, of course, Colter Wall. He represents old school quality and his music writing abilities are outstanding. We hope he always flies under the grid and never becomes jaded by success.

    Great story teller!

by Zach on 5/11/19The Wonder Bar - Asbury Park

I have seen CW before and this time was no different. He puts on an incredible show. If gives his all for the audience and it’s always a shame the show has to end. I’ll be looking forward to seeing him again and again.

Not really the homecoming I expected

by Tessika on 10/17/18Coors Event Centre (formerly known as O'Brians Event Centre) - Saskatoon

Venue was great, shame only cash bar. Colter Wall was excellent with that amazing voice however, song selection a little disappointing and despite the crowd making more noise than an arena twice it’s size, no en core from Colter. Was not feeling the love for his province I’m afraid
