Eh.
by bf1985 on 1/22/20Liberty Hall - LawrenceWe saw CW in Omaha last year and he was great there. Very engaging and really seemed happy to be performing. This time, I honestly don't think he interacted with the fans at all, except to say "this is our last song". He seemed annoyed when the crowd got loud and sang along. Vincent Neil Emerson opened and he was a great entertainer. His intro to the songs made you want to listen and hear more. We love checking out different small venues, so while we have been to Wooley's in Des Moines and like that place, we thought we'd check out CW in Lawrence @ Liberty. Plus the choice of a reserved seat is appealing. Apparantly this theater was built when people were 5 feet tall because our legs were in our chests the entire time. Not sure it was worth the upcharge to sit in such an uncomfortable chair with zero! leg room. Luckily we are not large people but others around us were clearly uncomfortable. This venue's ushers need to check seat assignments especially for the front rows because there was so much seat shuffling during the show that it was extremely distracting. the entire front row had to get up at various times because people were sitting in incorrect seats.
