"Referring to his most recent record, 'Little Songs,' Colter said, "These songs were written over the last three years. I penned most of them from home and I think the songs reflect that. "With the album Little Songs, Colter's music continues to carry on the traditional sounds of his prairie homelands, while connecting a contemporary world to the values, hardships, and celebrations of rural life. He sings, "You might not see a soul for days on them high and lonesome plains. You got to fill the big empty with little songs."

Colter was fantastic. His opener, Vincent Neil Emerson, was also pretty good. Only rated 4 stars because of the crowd. I've heard it could have been a lot worse and Phoenix was pretty relaxed. I've never seen/heard so many people act like they were there to talk and party. They acted as if the concert was their secondary reason to be their. Other than that, the show was great, facility was clean and concessions were good. Merch line was long but moved quickly.
Colter was fantastic and the palace was such an amazing venue. First time there!
I loved our experience at the steelhouse! I really like the âsmallerâ venue. I thought the sound was amazing too! I will be back!
If you are considering seeing Colter Wall in concert, do it! He and his band are absolutely unreal. The best way I can describe it to you is that it felt like he was just a regular guy with a group of buddies who wanted to share their music with anyone who wanted to hear about his life stories and experiences. I would do it all again in a heartbeat, so if anyone is debating whether to go, do it!
Sylvee is a great venue. Positives - Great shows from Cilter and Red. Negatives- Move the Merch booths away from the entrances.
Great show! Colter is Amazing and it was fun to see so many young people enjoying "old"country music!
Colter & his band were undeniably talented & sounded great live. The venue was the right size & the crowd was having a good time. Couple points of criticism on his setlist: 1. He didnât play âKate McCannonâ or âDevil Wears a Suit & Tie.â Iâve heard heâs been facing limitations with his voice and these earlier songs are too straining, so I understand. Just wouldâve been good to hear some version of these great songs that was within a more sustainable range for him. 2. I know Colter has a lot of slower-tempo songs, and I love them. However, there were too many drawn-out & slow harmonica/steel guitar solos that really brought the energy down; it got to the point where it was hard to stay engaged, especially after a long work week on a Friday night. This type of setlist would be more well suited for a theater if itâs going to be that slow.
We've seen Colter many times, including his performance at the Ryman. This venue was okay, really about like most this size. Colter puts on a great show. Got through the drink and merch lines quickly.
Awesome venue, amazing performance. Outside of Chris Ledoux, itâs the best live performance Iâve ever seen
Colter was excellent and worth the long wait to get into the venue, but buying artist merchandise took a ridiculous amount of time. In 35 years of concerts I don't recall a slower line...
The Fillmore is an amazing venue, Colter Wall's voice is liquid velvet. Its a bummer how the crowd is constantly coming and going and disrupts the show but I would highly recommend seeing Colter live, and would return to this venue.
10/10 from the concert to the venue. wouldnât have changed a thing about the experience!
First Colter Wall sounded great. I was a little disappointment how short the show was and that Colter only came out for a one song encore. Especially, after I dropped over $300 on two tickets, I expected a little more than that. Second, The Filmore - Detroit is a great venue, but the process for entering is ridiculous. The doors opened at 7pm and there was a line outside until 8:30pm. The show was slated to start at 8pm. That's just stupid. Either open the doors earlier or speed up the process!
Colter Wall is the prodigy of Country and Western music. He reminds me of the time when Randy Travis came out and brought Country music back from Pop Country.
Well - my first time to Salt Shed. Super cool venue but sound quality was below expectations for sure. Seats were great, drink service great and atmosphere great - sounds just ok. Colter we good for sure. I was not happy like many people there he didn't sing Kate McCannon.
This show was awesome. I got the front row right up against the guard rails. The sound was great, and his opener was surprisingly good, even though I had never heard of him before purchasing the tickets. I would absolutely recommend this show to anyone who is a fan of more Western-style country music and not Nashville-style. Fantastic artist that shows what TRUE country is all about.
The concert facilities was great. Lot of history and character in that building. The signs for parking are very misleading though. All they say is event parking and its actually valet parking that is 52 dollars. You arent aware of that until you drive in the lot and are already stuck there. Our friends were able to drive around and find parking on the street for free.
Colter Walls voice live sounds exactly like his recorded music, better even! Itâs mesmerizing to listen to him, he is an outstanding performer
Colter put on a great performance and it was our first time at The Salt Shed awesome venue.
