    Colm was awesome once again!

by Officemom on 9/29/10University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

This is the second time we have seen Colm Wilkinson in concert at UB and we absolutely loved his performances. This last one was even better than the first. He is not only a fabulous singer, which we've come to expect after seeing him in Phantom and Les Mis, but he is funny, personable and charming. Great mix of popular and classic. Loved his leading lady too. We had great seats - third row from the front. We couldn't have been happier.

    Colm Wilkinson was terrific

by Minni1 on 9/29/10University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

Colm has always been my favoirte "Phantom". At Mondays show, he showed a great range and versitality as he sang not only show tunes but also a little country music , some rock and standards. Susan Gilmore was also very enjoyable. It was a night to remember.

    Colm at HIs Best!

by OperaGhost on 9/29/10University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

It never ceases to amaze me that in the 13 Phantom shows that I have seen him in and the three appearances at the University at Buffalo...he never misses a note. How can that be? His performance was, again, celestial.

Colm Wilkinson, Susan Gilmore & Band Outstanding!!

by ASVC on 9/29/10University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

I knew I liked Colm Wilkinson from the stage (saw him live in Phantom & Les Miserables) but he far exceeded my expectations in concert. His warm personality, wit and incredible singing talent made for a memorable night out for me and my Mother! Susan Gilmore's beautiful voice paired with her incredible stage presence complimented Colm's performance with a grace and beauty not seen often in person! Last but certainly not least, The band was AMAZING and as versatile as Colm and his unexpectedly eclectic choice of songs. It is not a matter of "will I see him perform again?" it is a matter of "when and where can I see him again soon!" A delightful evening of talent and fun!

was a little disappointed, but would see him again

by sparkey1234 on 9/29/10University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

I have wanted to see him for so long. I have always loved his voice. Well, I was a little disappointed in the concert. These are the reasons. I didn't like his selection of songs. I was hoping for more Les Mis and Phantom songs. I wanted to see him and only him. He had a woman accompany and she must have sung for about 20 min. by herself. They did do some duets, but I wanted to see and hear him, not her. But, other than that he has a great voice. You can tell that man works out. He has great lung capacity. Even with the average revue. I would see him again and recommend it. He did some talking and gave some jokes also. It was nice to see his personality some.

    Colm Wilkinson Still Has it

by CarlosColes on 9/29/10University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

Colm has been around for many years. He still has the talent. He sings many different styles of music and does everything well. In the first half of the concert, he did not hit all of the high notes fully. in the second half, he was amazing. I would be sure to see him the next time he comes to town.

    wilkinson is an icon

by Husker205 on 9/29/10University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

Colm is an ageless icon who may actually be getting better as the years go on! His voice is mesmerizing. He beomes the song he is singing. Most people know him for his show tunes, but at this event he was equally brilliant singing a mix including songs by John Denver to the Beatles. The only minor drawback in my opinion was he only included one song from the Phantom. One more Phantom song would have made it a "perfect" show.

When Mr. Wilkinson sang his Broadway numbers, he sounded great. The rest of the music was so dated it made this 45 year old cringe. The arrangements and the backup singer felt like they were from bad cruise ship entertainment. We also got to hear his backup singer sing 3 songs in the first half and then more in the second half along with some duets. When she started singing "Don't Cry Out Loud," it took everything I had not to cry. This show would have been great for the 60 - 80 year old range. Not for the younger crowd. It was great to see a legend but a letdown at the same time.

    Colm Wilkinson was awesome!!

by babyjag on 8/29/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

I am a big Colm Wilkinson fan and saw him only one time when he was in Les Mis. I was so excited when I saw him coming in concert. I went with my mother and mother- in- law as a mothers day gift to them and I couldn't have been more pleased. I was suprised at how entertaining he was. He told funny stories, tried to tell some jokes (some were even funny) and of course sang beautifully. He was so personable I like him even more now that I felt like I got to "know him" a little. My only complaints would be less of the two women he would have sing in between his songs and I wish he would have performed a couple more of the phantom/les mis songs. Overall fantastic show!! HIghly recommened.

    Warm, Welcoming, WOW that's Wilkinson

by mommymonaghan on 7/21/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

Not only did Colm Wilkinson meet my expectations when he performed for all of us on stage . . . he exceeded them. I can't recount any time a singer could bring an audience to laughter, excitement and tears in one, all-too-short evening. He nails any type of music that he wishes to express, and his expression is all his own. No "garden party" imitation, this man. At the end, it was as if he was singing his last song just for me, as if he knew I have a son fighting in Afghanistan. And then the icing on the cake, he allowed any of us, scores of us, to personally say, "Thank you" after a long tiring evening giving us his "all" on stage.

    Colm Wilkinson was amazing!

by WoobiesMama on 7/20/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

Colm was awesome! It was an experience I will never forget. His voice is as strong as ever. Music of the Night made my hair stand up on end. God on high was also amazing! The two women that accompanied him were really good too. The band/orchestra was incredible. If he comes next year, I will definitely be there!

by jherman on 7/17/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

Colm's performance was varied and his voice is still amazing. His sense of humor was a welcome addition to the performance but I wish he would have sung more Andrew Loyd Webber songs,

    Phenominal!!

by Karney on 7/14/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

Colm is everything a performer could be. He can sing show tunes like no one I've ever heard before; yet, he can also rock with the best of them. His range and pitch are perfection. Each patron is welcomed into the performance by his personal interaction and rapport with the audience. He also surrounds himself with talented individuals that complement his venue. This was the second time I've seen Mr. Wilkinson in person at the Center for the Arts. It will certainly not be the last! He is the master.

    Wilkinson Was Wonderful

by Cats11 on 7/13/09University At Buffalo Center for the Arts - Buffalo

When you go to see an aging performer you expect to see an average show at best. Colm Wilkinson seems to be aging gracefully. He was simply outstanding. I felt I received my money's worth by intermission. His command of the stage and humor with the audience was genuine. Here's hoping he returns to Buffalo sooner rather then later.
