Collective Soul rose to prominence in the mid-’90s with 1993’s Hints Allegations and Things Left Unsaid. The album featured the hit single “Shine” and took Collective Soul from college radio to heavy rotation on MTV. By the end of 1995, the band (led by singer-songwriter Ed Roland) had toured with Aerosmith and Van Halen and performed “Shine” in front of thousands of fans at Woodstock ‘94. Their triple-platinum follow-up, Collective Soul (1995), included "December," "The World I Know" and "Where the River Flows," all No. 1 songs on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Airplay chart. Collective Soul would continue achieving career milestones well into the 2000s and 2010s, including a duet with Elton John (“Perfect Day”) and nine additional studio albums.

Awesome concert and was well worth going to. They sound great live and put on a hell of a show
Great venue, seats and performances. However, I bought the VIP Signed Merchandise package and I HAVE NOT yet received my items. Please assist! George Durell Price
Great Concert. Love the Venue. Had a wonderful time! Love Collective Soul- my tenth time seeing them live! Will definitely go again!
I’ve been to dozens of shows at the amphitheater and all of them have been really good. I love this venue and they get a lot of really good bands and other acts
First time concert at Skyla and the venue and staff were outstanding. Having said that, the sound mix for the two bands that fronted Collective Soul was too loud. Particularly the kick drums. Like....headaches and fuzziness the next morning too loud for both my wife and I. The sound mix for Collective Soul was well done.
Still sounds great at 62 years old. Fun, nostalgic show.
Thought Collective Soul was going yo throw it down, but their lead singer is old. Lyrics lacked Then tried to add religion into the concert. So disappointed. Live stole the show, but even that wasn't stellar.
Collective Soul was awesome (though only 13 songs or so), but the gap between bands was crazy. We were in our seats for three hours before CS took the stage.
I have seen the band Live many times over the years-they never disappoint! Collective Soul and Our Lady Peace were awesome as well. First time Ive been to this venue-i had a great experience.
Venue was great for this type of performance. Had ample food and drink options. Attendants were courteous and helpful. Line up was one that we really enjoyed. All group's performances kept engaged and well entertained.
Love the venue but beer prices and selection is horrible now. Good to hear Live and Collective Soul but very apparent both bands are way past their prime. Did not expect that the vocals would be so bad. Also the entire left side of stage was blocked by equipment.
It was great to hear the old Collective Soul songs again. The setlist was very good as was the band. They've lost a step or two in the last 30 years, but they definitely were not "phoning it in". Would happily pay to see them again!
Live and Our Lady Peace were great. Collective Soul needs to hang it up, he's so old he can't sing and doesn't even sound like the same person. Ended up leaving during the set.
Collective Soul ROCKED Simpsonville, SC on August 26! The boys brought their A game with energy, spirit, and soul. My only critique would be move the speakers so folks in the back can see the screens! Less smoke on Jesse as well 😜 🤘🎸🎧 Keep rocking boys! See you next year!
All 3 sets were fantastic! Our Lady Peace opened they were awesome! They deserved to have there name on the billing and a later set time. Live put on a good show, Collective Soul sounded amazing. Lights and sound were spot on. All 3 bands engaged the audience. It was a beautiful South Carolina Summer night! Great memory!
I enjoyed this concert. I loved seeing 2 bands that I like, plus a 3rd opening band that I knew a little. All performed well.
It’s a really nice outside venue with a great seating. There’s no bad seat in the house sound quality is good. Great video projection screens.. easy access to the bathroom and all the vendors. Easy to get into and easy to get out of as far as parking. A music choice together was amazing for the show.
We had a fun time and all good experiences at the show. The parking at Pinewood Bowl is always a mess- getting in is easy, getting out is like bumper cars. Lincoln should pony-up and pay the staff to get us out as easily as in. Concession staffers were pleasant as were the ushers. We met "Ben & Alisha"in the crowd and were reunited with an almost Woodstock-level of kindness. Personally, I am unfamiliar with Our Lady Peace, but they had quite the following in attendance and put on a good set. They were followed by Live who also played a mix of older favorites with lesser known (to me) songs. My favorite, Collective Soul is still spot-on musically, but not as engaged with the crowd as I have seen in past shows- even though Ed Roland did walk out into the crowd and sing a bit with a random attendee. IDK if this has to do with the time constraints placed on performances at Pinewood Bowl, or if the band was having an off night. I will always recommend Collective Soul and will see them again. Overall, a really good show and worth the price of admission!
The Collective Soul Unity Tour with Live and Our Lady Peace in Lincoln, NE was fabulous. I'm a hardcore fan of Collective Soul, but all three bands really impressed. It was a perfect night for an outdoor concert, and Collective Soul did a great job of incorporating a few new songs with their classic hits. It helped they also performed my favorite song of theirs - Tremble for my Beloved. Drove 7 hours to get there and it was well worth the time!
These guys slay. They sounds great, hyped the crowds, had a great set list. Great concert.
