    Dont miss your flight

by Unklejabobo on 6/5/23Silver Creek Event Center at Four Winds New Buffalo - New Buffalo

Colin missed his flight and showed up 2 hours late. His openers had to stretch and do 40 minutes each, they had maybe a tight 5 between them. Took all the air out of the room before he even arrived.

    NO SHOW!

    by JS on 6/5/23

Four of us attended the comedy show at Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, MI Friday night, June 2, 2023. Colin Jost was supposed to be the headliner. We gave up waiting for him after 2.5 hours. The opening act was OK but he had to come out and keep introducing additional comedians who were hired at the last minute to fill-in. The second of the night actually told the audience that she was notified only 1.5 hours before she got on stage and must have driven like crazy from Chicago to make it. The next comedien was the worst - she had no concept of who her audience was. She thought we were all 20-30 somethings. It was a very mixed audience that really ranged in age. We were very disappointed and tried to get a refund from the casino. The employees were polite but told us our complaint was with Ticketmaster. Yeah, lots of luck there. VERY disappointed.

Colin Jost @ Paramount - Huntington

by PB from LI on 6/4/23The Paramount - Huntington

The opening comics, Punkie Johnson in particular, were not good. Punkie's act was rough, unfinished & repetitive. Has potential but she should get more material & work it out in a smaller venue. Colin was ok, nothing terribly memorable. Amusing anecdotes. We left a little early, as did people a few rows in front of us. Seats on the floor of the Paramount are metal folding chairs attached in rows with some padding on the seat and back. Very close together (loved the thigh of person next to me touching mine) and not comfortable for anyone over 50. Bars for drinks were nice and air conditioning was good on a hot day, but otherwise, won't be seeing anything else there as uncomfortable seats.

    Colin Jost and his openers

by Glassmam on 6/4/23The Paramount - Huntington

The openers were rude and crude and not at all funny. Once Colin started, his act was very choppy and it seemed like he didn’t have enough material. Barely a chuckle and not very funny. Very disappointed especially that it was a sold out show.

I didn’t like the opening act who acted like an MC but Punky Johnson was good. Colin Jost very natural and very funny. Totally in control—a real pro

    Was Good But…

by O.Y. on 8/1/22The Avalon Theatre At Niagara Fallsview Casino Resort - Niagara Falls

We are Colin Jost fans and it was exciting to get to see him, we had great seats as well. The first opener wasn’t great, the main opener was pretty good. Colin was good but we have been to many comedy shows and have seen many great comedians, lots keep notes on the bar stool on stage but Colin used them more than any comedian we have seen and was dependant on them. Seemed a bit unprepared and then the longest story of the night that he told was a story that he had in his book, that came out years ago. Little disappointed to have an old regurgitated joke from the head writer on SNL. Absolutely zero audience play as well. Whole show was a bit of just going through the motions to be honest.

I loved the two opening acts but Colin was just okay. He is better in skits on SNL.

    Disappointed

by Jimbo on 6/13/22The Wellmont Theater - Montclair

This is a theater not a club. All the comics were trying different jokes from a cheat sheet as if they were working on an act in a club. This is a theater where you show up with a polished act. Also I’m pretty sure I signed up for $50 tickets but got charged $90 a ticket. The website had that show as ‘low ticket warning’ but the theater claimed the show was sold out. Why do I feel like I was ripped off paying top dollar for an unprofessional performance?

    Great Show

Colin was great, theater was cramped and uncomfortable. Upper balcony was intended for very small people.

by Joe on 6/12/22The Wellmont Theater - Montclair

Colon was terrific. The other comedians were yelling into the microphone. They were hard to understand. I would like Mapac to go back to mandatory masks.

    Fun night had by all

by cocobeaner on 6/12/22The Wellmont Theater - Montclair

Love Colin on SNL and didn't have much other exposure to him. There were a few apparently new one-liners he tried out on the audience mid show that didn't work all that well, but the rest of the show was excellent and we left the theater smiling. Like all good comics, he skips back and forth over the PC line, but that's we want and should want. Great show!

    Great show, horrible venue

by Danny on 6/11/22The Wellmont Theater - Montclair

I loved the openers and Jost. All four of them did an incredible job. The problem was with the venue. I have no idea who is in charge of lighting but they absolutely need to be fired. They decided to have blue lights showing designs throughout the entire show and didnt bother testing whether those lights would be shining in the eyes of a third of the audience the entire time. I had to cover my eyes or hold a hand up the entire time to avoid having the light shining in my eyes from my spot on the second floor and a lot of others near me were complaining about the lights as well. Its not that hard to change, but being blinded throughout a majority of the show took away from the experience and made it harder to enjoy the show. I would have given this a higher rating because i thought Jost and co killed, but id never recommend a show in this venue

Colin Jost - Midweek Update in Indianapolis

by Jake on 6/7/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

Colin Jost gave us about an hour of standup comedy. He was good. His topics ranged all over the place, and he was generally apolitical (perhaps considering the venue -- bright red Indiana). When he did touch on politics, his rightside-critical humor was met with great enjoyment by the Indianapolis crowd, a generally left-leaning group of educated people. His jokes about Spirit Airlines got lots of laughs (who knew Spirit was a good joke in Indy?). We enjoyed the show.

    Cutting humor

by P-daddy Woo on 6/7/22Clowes Memorial Hall - Indianapolis

Collin Jost’s humor has kept America laughing for over a decade. He sees the humor in life’s edges and snaps the lines like the snap of a whip. An hour of Collin is worth a million bucks as it allows us to look deep into our society and revel in its idiosyncrasies. Thanks Collin. You rock

    Just ok...

by Poprok on 6/6/22The Paramount - Huntington

The event started a half hour late first off at 10pm...doors were supposed to open at 9pm but didn't until well after 930pm. The host was hilarious and the opening act was also great! Jost disappointed - it felt like he was testing new material out, was slow paced and seemed off.
