by Rick on 3/25/19Sandman Centre - KamloopsRating: 4 out of 5

loved it. great show, band, musicians, and songs. Such a treat to hear excellent musicians. Colin is still a stand out talent, even after all these years. Barney and his band were also really good.

by Turtle on 3/24/19Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Love the Orpheum beautiful venue. Colin James played effortlessly looked like he was having fun enjoying playing at home. Tight sound he still has it. Had a fantastic time.

  • Colin James Rocks The House

    by Bigcat57 on 3/24/19Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Drove up from Seattle to see Colin James in front of his hometown fans, at the Orpheum Theater in Vancouver, BC, and man oh man, he did not disappoint. With 7 others joining him on stage, they blew the roof of the place. In one of the nicest venues I've been in for a mid range show (2,700 sold out), the sound was fantastic, the Theater just stunning, the light show outstanding, and Colin's guitar playing in full form! The 22 song set list covered old to new, and for 2 full hours, he just kept ramping it up! He played just about every song on the new "One More Mile" album, covered the hits like "Freedom", "Man's Gotta Be A Stone", "Just Came Back", tossed in a couple covers like Van Morrison's "Into the Mystic", and even included a Little Big Band Song, "Breakin' Up The House". For this guy who made the trip from Seattle, it can be summed up in 6 words... Everything I Thought It Would Be!!!!! 5 stars, and 2 Thumbs Way Up!!!!!

  • Great show!

by Gypsdjango on 3/24/19Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

I'd never seen Colin live, so this show was such a treat. His band was phenomenal, especially the harmonica player, and their energy really carried throughout the show. Wonderful venue, The Orpheum, and I'm a new fan!!

  • Colin is still king!!!

by Goggymonkey on 3/11/17Orpheum Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

First let me say how awesome Tammy Neilson was. Hadn't had the chance to hear her and her band before and loved them. But Mr. James...I have love his music for so many years and yet for whatever reason had never seen him live. Such a pleasure, and he still gets it done. The crowd clearly felt the same and we were treated to some new some old. all Colin. WOW!!!

  • What's Not to Like?

by BJ6450 on 3/5/17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - EdmontonRating: 5 out of 5

Colin James was a fabulous concert at the Jube! So nice to see local spectacular musicians playing with him as well - how lucky were we??!

  • Too short

by HabsForever on 2/10/17National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 4 out of 5

Colin was as great as he always is (seen him many times) yet one thing about this show that I really did not like was the length of it. A hour and 20 minutes + the encores is just not long enough for the number of albums that he has released.

  • Great Canadian Blues by Colin James

by HabsForever on 4/5/16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

Have seen CJ many times and this was one of the best. Parts of the show were acoustic while the rest was electric. Both were equally as good. As I really like Colin's latest release (Heart's on Fire) I was glad to hear at least 5 songs from this CD. The setlist also had several other of his classic songs along with a few covers too. I'd love to see this tour again.

  • Amazing Guitarist!

by Jemelems64 on 4/5/16National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - OttawaRating: 5 out of 5

This was my first time seeing Colin James live. I have been a fan of his music since the '80's. He played a total of 12 guitars (in my count) over a the 2 hour period! He is an amazingly talented guitarist who feels the music, much like John Mayer, Jeff Healey and others. The atmosphere was relaxed, like Colin was playing in someone's living room. Great acoustics in the hall of the NAC. I thoroughly enjoyed the evening and have vowed to go to all of Colin Jame's future concerts. Additionally, I will only see concerts at the NAC due to the great sound, comfort and location. Overall, very enjoyable!!

  • Jonny Lang is the bomb!

by Hangonforever on 7/31/15KELSO BEACH AMPHITHEATRE - OWEN SOUNDRating: 4 out of 5

Jonny Lang rocks and we need to see way more of him in Canada. Need to hear more of his older stuff too.

  • Jonny Lang and Colin James at Kelso

by Rohdewarrior on 7/28/15KELSO BEACH AMPHITHEATRE - OWEN SOUNDRating: 4 out of 5

Great venue, small and intimate. Seating chart was pretty poor in terms of identifying lines of sight. If you're not in the center third of the seats your view will be obstructed. If you care to arrive early and with a chair the cheap seats are still VERY good. Jonny Lang was amazing and I wish he'd been the headliner. His was truly a Blues performance, and the sound mix and levels really showed off the talents of the entire band. Colin was good, but the volume was more appropriate to a large venue and actually drove us out early. Mush closer to a 'rock' experience.

  • Amazing!

by FromBC on 3/31/15Kelowna Community Theatre - KelownaRating: 5 out of 5

Colin James is one of my all time favorites. I've seen him a few times and he was amazing once again. He is so talented, the rest of his band are very impressive as well. Great sound in the Kelowna Community Theatre - not a bad seat in the house. His new album Hearts on Fire is mellower than some of his past albums but he played a good mix of new and old to keep it rockin'.

Great Guitar work, clean sound, excellent entertainer

  • Colin James & Tim Chaisson

by saysredmolly on 3/30/15Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome as always!! The Jubilee is most definitely the best venue to see Colin James. Except for the obvious no room for dancing. That said, if I ever see Tim Chaisson (who was also amazing!!) live again, I will want to dance!! It was a great show and both gentlemen gave us all our money's worth and more. Truly fantastic!!

  • Colin James was great

  • Best Guitarist I've Ever Seen

by macjwsharp on 3/14/15Massey Hall - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

Went to 85 concerts since January I last year, 95% of them being people everybody's heard of, and I have to say that Colin James was the best guitarist I've ever seen play!

  • Colin James, always a great show

One of the most under rated talents around. Class act. Made me smile, drink and dance. Unforgettable.
