  • Never ever disappoints

by KT on 10/3/22Queen Elizabeth Theatre - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Colin is a true Canadian legend who never ever disappoints. Saturday night was no exception. He gave us everything he's got! Mastery at the world class level on every level By the crowds reaction it wasn't just me who appreciated the song choice and instrumental dynamics. I lost count as to many guitar changes he made! Hard to imagine how he and his band pull off such a generous preformance after being on the road. Awesome to witnes his generosity towards his young and very talented opening act. Only downside is that you're confined to dancing in place. I guess that's what outdoor festivals or the commodores for.

  • Fabulous

A great show. Hometown boy has still got it. Great guitar work. Bad sound in warm up act but Colin was the best ever.

  • Amazing!

Ive been lucky enough to see Colin many times and he never disappoints. Great job to the whole band. And kudos to the Mtelus staff who kept everything running smoothly.

  • Did Not Disappoint

by Crazy for Colin on 12/29/21Festival Place - Sherwood ParkRating: 5 out of 5

I was a little concerned when he first came out and sounded a little hoarse, wearing a scarf. But he didn't miss a beat and as usual the concert was great! With just the Trio it was quite bluesy, as I have seen him do in the past. It is a pleasure to watch someone who loves his craft and it is very obvious he enjoys what he does. The smaller intimate venue was nice and the atmosphere was light and relaxed. Especially after the distracting drunk couple in the balcony was asked to leave at intermission. I have seen Colin James perform 7 times and I already have my tickets for his March show. He is one of my favorites and he never disappoints the crowd.

  • Awesome night!

by Beaner on 11/22/21Festival Place - Sherwood ParkRating: 5 out of 5

The Venue at Festival Place was a great intimate location to see Colin James belt out his old and new songs in that great bluesy voice of his. The music was fabulous, the second balcony box was fabulous. A night to remember!

  • Beyond amazing.

by Jonathan on 11/21/21Festival Place - Sherwood ParkRating: 5 out of 5

I was a fan of Colin's growing up in Regina as a kid - and still am. Does this guy play a guitar. Incredible musician and I will never tire of going to his shows.

  • Great show great venue

by Cbar on 11/20/21Festival Place - Sherwood ParkRating: 4 out of 5

My first concert at this venue. The place is quite nice and will look at a seating chart for future events as some seats i would like to try. Was happy that tje festival place staff removed 2 people who were spoiling the show as they were loud, obnoxious and security did the right thing. Bag check may have prevented some of tje issue though as theg had outside booze in there bag.

  • Worth the wait!

The evening was incredibly special!!! We waited a long time for this concert and so glad we did. Colin and his bandmates were just amazing! I really can't say enough about the whole experience.

  • Colin Always Delivers

by shirkow on 11/9/21Clarke Theatre - MissionRating: 5 out of 5

It was so exciting to see Colin at the Clarke in Mission November 6 after so many months of waiting for this concert. He is such a gifted musician and down to earth person, sharing anecdotes and engaging with the audience. So proud of this Canadian treasure. What a treat to see him and his great musicians in such an intimate setting. Could have listened to him all night and indeed, we streamed his new music when we got home. Another great collection of music. Love, love, love him!

  • Colin James

by Beamin1 on 4/17/19FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 4 out of 5

He is always very good, great mix of new and classics. We traveled and hour and a half to see him, closest venue on this tour. Wish he would have played longer, just about an hour and 20 minutes, including 2 encores. The show ended about 10:20 PM, still lots of time before the curfew. The opening act was different, not what we were expecting. a bit depressing, and one song was defiantly awkward....

  • Good show

by J. J. on 4/11/19Sony Centre for the Performing Arts (soon to be Meridian Hall) - TorontoRating: 4 out of 5

First time in years at this venue, been a few since last seeing Colin James Band also, so was a nice night to say the least.

  • Best concert ever

by Chris on 4/9/19Sony Centre for the Performing Arts (soon to be Meridian Hall) - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This was my second Colin James concert and the best one yet. He is so high energy, so talented and he really loves performing. It makes every penny spent well worth it.

  • Still Rockin’ it after all these years...like a fine wine..

  • Too loud

We couldn’t enjoy the music because it was crazy loud and extreme unpleasant!

  • Spectacular

by Jani on 4/8/19FirstOntario Concert Hall (Formerly Hamilton Place) - HamiltonRating: 5 out of 5

Overall very awesome. The blues at its best. Seen Colin several times. Always very good.

  • Good, but too LOUD !

by Fan on 3/31/19Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - CalgaryRating: 4 out of 5

I have seen Colin about 6 or 7 times over the many years and love to support our great Canadian talent. He really is a very talented guitarist. What I don't understand is why the group has to crank up those amps to the max.. There is a point where volume becomes simply uncomfortable, if not harmful to the ears. At the age of 63, I've had hearing aids for about 4 years.....and the 50 or more concerts have probably contributed to that. I left the concert saying to myself......that will be the last concert with Colin.....too bad.

  • Great show
