What a show!! Great musician, tight band and the perfect venue, can't wait to see Mr. James again!!!
Collin James has lost nothing! It was such a fantastic show. The sound was just perfect. I would go again in a flash.
If you’re good enough you don’t need to overplay. Colin James is just that good.
Don’t miss this fantastic concert. Smoking hot, great 7 piece band… superb sound!
The Burton Cummings Theater is a great venue to see your favorite musicians and bands. Colin James and his band ROCKED the place.
Colin James ROCKED ♥️ the Theater like no other musician I have EVER seen perform there before. He played a long time without a break and it was my pleasure to see him once again in Winnipeg! I love ❤️ the fact that he mentions his fellow musicians and even included our one and only Dave McLean. Kudos to him from my heart and soul. He is so down to earth and sooooo talented. THANKS SOOOOOO MUCH COLIN JAMES FOR MAKING MY EXPERIENCE SO MEMORABLE. AS WELL AS HIS AGENT FOR BOOKKNG HIM IN WINNIPEG!!!! Please don't make it another "Five long years"before you come back. Love you COLIN JAMES ❤️ 💕
- warm up act was offensively loud - very professional show - 2 hrs - wide range of blues styles - I would go see him again.
We saw CJ in about 1991 give or take a year at O'donels Big Rideau Lake resort , this guy just has it , he is awsome !!! Great entertainer played his old hits and some great new ones , his warm up band Tara Lightfoot was someone to see as well, a female solo artist to come out and do her show with an electric guitar and no band was absolutely breathtaking , have a great rest of your tour folks, would certainly be see you both again hopefully sooner than later
Colin James put on a great show as usual. Good mix of old songs, new songs and covers. Sound was perfect. Massey is my favourite venue. Great evening.
Excellent show at the iconic Massey Hall. Great mix of classic songs and a few new ones as well. Sound system was great. James is a fantastic personality and showman and he came out in spades. Crowd was fantastic and he engaged masterfully. Loved it!
Colin James is an amazing singer & performer. Seeing him at Massey Hall made it even better. He is amongst the great performers who had the privelige of sharing his songs at this iconic venue. We had the privelige to be there. An absolutely fantastic concert from beginning to end.
Colin was phenomenal. I have seen him 16 times, and he just keeps getting better and better each tour. We had fantastic seats and seeing him on Valentines Day, with my husband @JohnMeekings, at the iconic Massey Hall was the icing on the cake. We can't wait to see him again. He is brilliant. Absolutely brilliant!!! For those of you that haven't seen Colin James Live, go see him. It will be your first of many. P.S. Don't forget to count the times he changes his guitar.
It’s always great to see Colin at Massey Hall. Perfect venue for him to play. He preformed pretty much non stop. To me , his talent is under rated. He can sure play the guitar!
Colin James a joy to watch as he played with his usual smooth style and joy. No surprises on opening night in Ottawa—a polished performance that pleased everyone. Happiness filled the room even when Colin mentioned postponing his US tour—the crowd playfully jeering the letters “US”. James just smiled and carried on. Must be that Voodoo Thing!
Absolutely wonderful! You could feel how much fun Colin was having up.on stage...great show!
I didn't end up going to the show that evening so I cant really give a review as to what happen
Small club; surprised by small audience. V good opening acts. Colin James put on an amazing two hour show. Rock and roll. Music dating back 30 years and looking forward to next album in the fall. Saw Colin in late '23 in Calgary; great show then, better more intimate show now. Again, amazing show at Peppermint Club. Took some newcomers and Colin left with some new fans. Cannot say enough about music. Colin and band were fantastic. Even got to reminisce with him a bit about hometown Regina SK Canada. Cannot wait to see him again.
My ears are still hurting. First two bands were obnoxiously loud so when Colin James came on just after 9 my ears were ringing and it was difficult to appreciate James artistry. I’ve seen Colin James 6 times before. Peppermint Club is too small so there is no need for 45 speakers (exaggeration I know but it certainly sounded like that). Also I would NOT recommend paying for a table. The minute the bands start playing people jump up and immediately stand in front of all the tables. There is zero advantage to paying for a table.
I get reminded every time I step into The Commodore Ballroom why its my favourite venue. It doesn't matter where you are inside, the sound is always amazing. Throw in Colin James and The Little Big Band and you have a winning combination. The classic venue and the awesome music kinda brings you back into the era of the big bands to which Colin and his team nailed. My first time at the Venue was my NDSS graduation party back in 1985 and have seen many performances since. It was another memorable night with Colin James.
