Cody Jinks on Tour
Seeing Cody Jinks onstage, you get a sense of what it must've felt like to catch outlaw country legends like Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson back in the 1970s when their raw-boned brand of country music was hitting folks for the first time. Jinks brings his deep, rich voice to bear on tunes that manage to incorporate those influences while still feeling completely current. Jinks has as much rock 'n' roll in him as country, and you're as likely to hear him and his band cover songs by the likes of Dire Straits and Pink Floyd as you are to catch them playing tunes made famous by country giants like Alan Jackson and Keith Whitley. Either way, a Cody Jinks concert is first and foremost a party, where the whole audience gets involved in singing along and creating an atmosphere of fun and community.

Hailing from the Fort Worth suburb of Haltom City, Texas, Cody Jinks has forged a sound that bears strong links to fellow Texans like Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. But even though classic outlaw country is a huge influence on Jinks, he actually started out as a rocker. Long before he ever became a country singer, he was the frontman for a metal band called Unchecked Aggression in the late ‘90s and early ‘00s. He tapped into his deep country roots and reinvented himself in the late '00s, but the raw, rebellious spirit of rock 'n' roll will always be a part of Jinks' musical makeup. He released his first album in 2008 and gradually built up a grassroots following over the years. By the time he put out Lifers a decade later, his audience had grown to the point that the record made it to the No. 2 spot on the country charts, proving there's still a place in country music for rough-hewn individualism.
Sounds the exact same as he does on cd with a lot more great energy. Band has good stage presence. They let the crowd start a few songs before he took over getting the room energy high even in a completely sit down theater. Amazing fun

From the very first act, Colton Wall (he was unbelievably good!) to Ward Davis (another amazing artist and true country star) to the headliner, Mr Cody Jinks ( a real Outlaw Country musician!), this concert rocked from beginning to end.

Cody Jinks and Ward Davis put on an amazing show. Unfortunately the venue staff at express live is extremely rude, unprofessional, and unable to keep all concert goers safe.

Great venue, great concert!! Colter Wall's voice was amazing, he will definitely be an up and comer. We have followed Ward Davis for a couple of years now, love his music and style. Cody Jinks rocked the house...he is true, old school country.

I saw Cody and the Tone Deaf Hippies in Boston last year and I will never miss a show again. He is now my favorite artist and I can't get enough of his music.

Any one that likes Outlaw Country music must see Cody Jinks! I am a huge Cody fan so this concert was amazing. He sounds better live than he does on record. A meet and greet after the show was just a topper to an unforgettable concert. I will be seeing Cody anytime he comes to Ohio. Band was right on and sounding great. He played non stop for over 2 hours. The vibe that was in the room was amazing. Everyone was singing along to all his songs.
Jinks was so great. He sounds just like he does on his records! He puts on a great show and he was family friendly suprisingly. There were a few kids in the audience and he wasn't spouting off obscenities like some artists do. He was really a class act. Ward Davis was great as well!

Start to finish it was AWESOME!!! Both bands were tight and full of energy, I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!!! Venue was cozy, only draw back is there is no seating and nowhere to set your drink.
