It was an amazing experience. So any entertainers in one night under one roof. Also all the collaborations with different genres. Mobile tickets so easy to download in my wallet, no problem parking, close walking distance
Where does Rock equate with Country? Seemed an odd place to mix genres. Love the fact that the CMT’s made it to Texas and hope they return…. just leave the Rock, Pop, and political stuff to other appropriate venues. This is ‘Countries night to shine!!!!’
Tv cameras in way of 2 stages and screens whole time;; Upper Screens didn’t show outside entertainment; not enough country performers; and embarrassed by celebrity seating. Texas should and could do better!
Great event! Amazing set… would have liked for the lines to be more clear. Also would have loved to have all the artists perform in the venue but overall, amazing memories were made.
Fantastic! Phenomenal! I get it was their first year. The only thing i was so mad about and so many people around me ans in the stadium. Is the guy that says “applause” or gives instructions during commercials. Literally CUT OUT more than HALF of kane brown and katelyn browns performance! They were TWO of the BIGGEST performers of the night! People on tv cannot see that, but us at the stadium were so mad! It was so disrespectful to kane and katelyn , they and kelsea ballerini were a big reason i traveled 1000 miles to see them. The workers had to get confetti off the stage and the announcer kept telling people on the ground to turn their face away from the stage as they blew confetti off. LITERALLY OVER AND OVER AND OVER again he was saying that, it was terrible. I felt so bad for kane and katelyn. Especially it being katelyns FIRST performing award show! With kane being the host, AND they both were up for biggest award of the NIGHT! And they won. They deserve an apology. & they definitely need to do better about that next year. So many people were so upset that announcer kept interrupting it bu just saying the same exact thing over and over!
This was our first award show and 2nd time at the Moody Center. We thought the experience was AMAZING! The line up and blend of performer’s was spectacular. Can’t wait to go next year.
CMT awards was great until the drags came out, there was no reason to display drag queens during the concert. They should not shove/force their agenda on the audience/attendees other than that the concert was great
This was my first experience attending a live COUNTRY music award show. I was looking forward to many live country performances, but there were more pop/rock mixed in than expected. I don't understand why a country award show would be mixed with pop and rock, and wokeness. This was pathetic.
Our tickets were at the highest level (e.g. farthest from the stage). It was difficult to see the group of musicians. We could only see whatever was on the big screen. A huge part of the CMT Awards seems to be seeing the group of celebrities in the celebrity audience. Overall, this event is less about the music and more about a group of celebrities. There was a lot of lag time during commercial breaks, and weird announcements ("Don't touch the lights! I said don't touch the lights!!") when we weren't on television. Food and beverage options at the venue were poor. The food is not good. There were too few bars to support the crowd. Lines were very long unless you went during the performances.
Overall it was a great experience. A lot of my favorite performers, some I didn't have a clue who they were. I think it was more pop than country.
The venue was great. Great stage and many great entertainers. The entrance on the east gate was pretty slow with everyone trying to get in on time. Needed more gates open. Fun to have all the activity in Austin.
Feel like I wasted money on the best seats. Between the bright lights and the various stages, along with the camera boom and walking cameramen, we did not see much. Most of the stars were taped in the previous days. It would be better to go to the free concerts in the preceding days and then watch the CMT from home.
We loved the show!!! The sound was great, the performers were great, the entire experience was amazing at the Moody Center.
No live performances by headliners! No Carrie, Kane Brown or Keith Urban. Too much Kelsea Ballerina and lame performances. Not worth the ticket price!
I did not know what to expect. I did not think as a paying ticketed fan that there would only be a 1-hour entry time with no late entry authorized. Then, the bars closed 15 minutes after the doors closed (only to be re-opened after the commerical break). All of this made if very stressful and a cluster of getting too many fans in restricted spaces. Once we made it to our seats in the balcony we learned that the entire balcony had obstructed views with rigging blocking both the stage and the large screens up on the higher levels. I never was able to see the faces of the performances or hosts all evening. Also, it appeared that there was no air conditioning on the second level. I have never been warm at any performance in other venues but I had sweat dripping out of my clothing for the entire evening. Overall, I am glad I experienced it, however; I will never spend my hard earned money on this again for something that I really did not get to enjoy. Also, when we purchased our tickets, Carrie Underwood was the only artist named as a perfomer. We assumed this meant we would get to watch her live, only to be disappointed that it was a pre-recorded event.
Super disappointing to see the line up of “live” performances…that weren’t actually live in the venue! All the performances that we had to watch in the screens because they did them in another area or location was such a let down! I could’ve just stayed home and watched from home! I enjoyed the performances that did happen inside, they were great!
Y'all can take it right back to Nashville. Total waste of money when half the performances are pre recorded. For the amount of money we spent just to watch a pre recorded performance I could have done that at home. Would have been nice to know this prior. I specifically went to see Carrie Underwood and had to watch her on a screen from a show that happen 4 days earlier. I highly recommend they put a disclaimer that some artists may be pre-recorded and not live
Going to the CMT awards was an experience of a life time! Just being in the presence of all of the stars and seeing the workings behind the production of the TV show was awesome.
We had such a good time. Everything was well planned with the festival. We stayed at the camp ground and there was a downtown shuttle from there and surrounding hotels. It was 15 per person all day. Not sure if that was because of the festival or not. Went to the Nissan stadium it was great and the tickets were well worth the money. If you get a chance you should definitely go. I will definitely go back again
Great show and wonderful experience. It was very interesting to see how they switch out the celebrity's during commercials. I would go again.
