About CMA Fest

The Ultimate Country Music Fan Experience™ began in 1972 as Fan Fair®, which drew 5,000 fans to Nashville’s Municipal Auditorium. The legendary CMA Fest has become the city’s signature Country Music event that hosts tens of thousands of fans from all 50 states, Puerto Rico and 37 international countries. CMA Fest features hundreds of performances on multiple daytime and nighttime stages – all to benefit music education. Since 2006, a portion of proceeds from CMA Fest has been given to music education initiatives supporting students K-12 across the U.S. through the CMA Foundation. It’s thanks to you, the fans, as well as event partners and the generosity of the artist community donating their time that CMA been able to give back to deserving educators and students. First time attendee

by Lelu on 6/19/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

The whole 4 day event was a blast, but of course the nighttime shows were my favorite. All the performers sang between 6-8 songs each so it felt like a 'mini' concert for each one. The venue was coordinated well allowing ease of getting in and out of the stadium.

    Great time at CMA

by Julie on 6/17/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

I had a great time at the 50th CMA fest. This was my 5th time. My friend came for 1st time and loved it. I do miss the Fzn Photo line at the stadium concerts.

    Loved CMA FEST

by Reggie on 6/17/23Music City Center - Nashville

It was hot but I really liked it. It was my first time there. I am going to try and reserve tickets early so I can get better seats.

    Always a great weekend!

by Andmin on 6/16/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

From start to finish, it is always a great weekend of country music in Nashville! So much to do and see, and not enough time to do it all! A must do for any country fan!

    Great tome

by Kp on 6/16/23Music City Center - Nashville

Everything was amazing, except for one huge complaint. Fan Fair meet and greets had absolutely NO organization whatsoever. What a mess. So many mad and upset people including myself. When trying to wait for someone especially a very popular person, or the people there had no idea what to tell us. Three different people would give three different answers, and people were lined up in all different places. People who had been there for hours were then told they were in the wrong spot. I would suggest some kind of signage of where to wait .

    Excellent

by Clarence on 6/15/23Music City Center - Nashville

Cma music fest is a must for any country music fan. Yo me it's Nashville's version of the bike rally in Sturgis. I went to 4 concerts at Nissan stadium and 1 at the grand ole Opry. I was just overwhelmed by all the stages and live music. I think any country artist wanting to get a recording contract would get a lot of exposure. I met wynonna judd. Mark wills Josh Turner and a few others.

    Wynonna and Trisha

by TY23 on 6/15/23Music City Center - Nashville

We waited outside in line with a friendly crowd. Staff who greeted us at the door were friendly and professional. We all power-walked to the stage and found seats. We were treated to the best kind of conversation - the kind that fills your heart, makes you laugh, sparks a memory and brings a tear or two. Watching these two icons share their new friendship and sharing advice with new artists and young people was good for the soul. But for me, the best part was the model they showed for folks my age. Women supporting women at any stage of life… any stage of their careers. Oh, and did I mention that they sang together? It could not have been a better experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have been there.

    Overall it was good

    by DWeiss14 on 6/15/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

Overall my wife and I enjoyed the fest. However, with it being the 50th Anniversary we thought there would have been some more special pop up appearances by many artists. We know they all donate their time, but it was kind of disappointing when it didn’t occur. Additionally, the way Eric Church just ended his performance was disappointing. We’ve seen him in concert many times and were speechless when he basically walked off the stage and didn’t end his performance with even a good night.

    Take it Back to 2018

by Fandom Girl 13 on 6/15/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

First and foremost, Nissan Stadium was an amazing experience! The concerts were absolutely amazing!! However, I was very disappointed with Xfinity Fan Fair X. Just a few years ago, there were so many activities, fun little booths, and freebies/giveaways that you could keep going to throughout your entire time at CMA Fest! You didn’t have to do anything for it, like sign up for something, download an app, or take a survey. Most of the free giveaways weren’t worth much, but that wasn’t the point. It was fun. Though, the Vera Bradley blinko game in 2019 was amazing! Fan Fair X didn’t have anything like that this year. I was so looking forward to spending all day in Xfinity Fan Fair X, but there was nothing to do after the morning’s Close Up Stage panels. Also, the seats for the artist of the day panels, should be assigned based off of who has stand in line the longest. My mom and I got up stood in line at 5AM outside of Fan Fair X in order to get front row seats to Reba McEntire’s Close Up Stage panel, but because of rude people pushing their way past us, we didn’t even have a chance at seeing her from the 1st row. After almost 6 hours of waiting in line it was so upsetting. We are never doing that again. Also, the Bridgestone Arena, which used to be called the Cracker Barrel Stage, should be made free again. When my family and I went in 2018, there was no charge to listen to those nighttime concerts. Now, that stage is charging $15 starting price; which is for the lawn/grass. When we went years ago, we got pretty close seats to the front. Those seats probably cost almost as much as Nissan does now. Because of all of the changes, that have occurred with CMA Fest my Mama, who before wanted to go to CMA Fest every year, doesn’t even want to go back to CMA Fest next year; and I can’t blame her.

    VERY DISAPPOINTED

by CMA Crew on 6/15/23Music City Center - Nashville

Our group traveled from Florida, it’s our 10th year coming off/on since 2006. We were all expecting a much better celebration for the 50th Anniversary. Less vendors and games each year, it use to take at least 2 days to go through theFanX, now you can see everything (except the daily artists) in a few hours. We all hoped for more surprise guests at Nissan Stadium, which once again we were disappointed. It doesn’t seem to be for the fans anymore. Focus is on the TV show recording and money. It’s “US” the fans that helped them get where they are, Fan Fair was to say Thank you to us THE FANS for our support. It’s really sad that money and a TV special is more important. Needless to say, we are not planning a trip pack next year.

Amazing Opportunities but the event has gotten way too large

by Jules on 6/14/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

Couldn’t get into many riverfront concerts this year and the meet and greet lines were too long and we were cut off from meeting our favorite artists many times. It wasn’t like this is the past. There were many unhappy participants. There are TOO MANY attendees and almost TOO MANY opportunities now. We can’t do everything we want to. I miss the old CMA Fest days, especially when it was known as FanFair. Please do better.

    Meet and Greet Experience

by M&M on 6/14/23Music City Center - Nashville

Had a wonderful and amazing time meeting upcoming and older artists!! Volunteers were very friendly and great with the lines. Tanya Tucker at the Songwriter booth got a little crazy. Would not take the those first that had formed a nice orderly line. Others came in last minute and caused some people to just leave that had been in line over an hour. All the other booths had a line against a wall or somewhere nearby and was very organized. Overall, always enjoy this part of CMA Festival. Will be back for sure!!

    CMA Fest 2023

by Sherry on 6/14/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

CMA Fest was awesome as it usually is!! We had a great time!! I love all of the new stages around downtown so that it's not as limited to get in. When Riverfront is at capacity there's always the Chevy Stage or the Dr Pepper Stage!! Love it!!

    1st Time and Loved It

by Michael on 6/14/23Music City Center - Nashville

Love Nashville so wanted to try CMA fest for the first time since left Nashville last year a week before and heard about it. It was an amazing time. So many stages and stars to see for free. Even the tickets for Nissan were awesome. Easy walk over the pedestrian bridge. Fan fair was great. Some stars stayed longer to let everyone get a picture. Outstanding experience. I will be back.

    Amazing!

by Terri on 6/14/23Music City Center - Nashville

We had so much fun even without having a stadium 4 day pass. There are so many great artists on the free stages and in all the bars along Broadway. Ready to go back next year for sure. Highly recommend

    FUN TIMES

by Sue on 6/14/23Nissan Stadium - Nashville

First time there and it was a blast. Was hoping to see more big names on the stage, but I enjoyed the young new performers too! Prices were somewhat high for drinks(especially water) but the money was for the kids education!
