    Wonderful Concert...rude staff.

    by luna0605 on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The concert itself was an amazing experience. All of the performers were fantastic and the atmosphere was incredible! The only bad part about the night was the experience with the venue staff. They were rude and screamed at the audience when they mistakenly let us in to the seating area 5 minutes early. One staff member almost knocked me down while she was trying to get to other patrons who had already taken their seats. The rest of the night was one of the best concerts I've ever been to in Nashville.

    Poor Experiance

by ssallmen on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The program itself was extremely uncoordinated. With extended intermissions between almost every song. I knew this was going to be recorded for TV, but this was ridiculous. The performer themselves did a fine job with few re-dos. It was the production crew needed to get it together. I went with the expectations of a semi-concert and instead received 3-and -a half hours of crowd shout-outs, multiple apologies, sprinkled with lame Christmas trivia, and barely interspersed with musical numbers. If I hadn't paid for it, I would have left after the first 45 minutes. The emcee did a good job (as he could) keeping the audience happy.

    One of the best experiences!

by LadyAfan on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Lasted longer than expected. The event was taped so a few performers re-did their segments. Everyone seemed so relaxed and in a good mood!

It was fun. Enjoyed music. Jennifer was awesome as a host. The funniest part was Vince Gill singing with Miss Piggy...

    CMA Christmas

    by Ten12fiber65 on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

First the arena was ice cold. The event started extremely late and to pay for the tickets was Ridiculous for where we sat. To many stops and starts for even a show that was being taped. I would recommend kids over the age of 10 as the event is long and never ending

    Thoroughly disappointed

by Anonymous on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

I had such high hopes for this event. Unfortunately, I was thoroughly disappointed. It was an extremely disorganized train wreck. First, they had not gotten all of the artists together beforehand to rehearse the finale, so this turned out to be a joke. They taped the finale (the first act of the night) three times and the third wasn't all that much better than the first. Then the individual acts performed...which was good except for the fact that there was at least 20 minutes of downtime between each performance. We were there for two hours and only got to hear five songs. We were so exhausted from listening to Stormy Warren trying to entertain the crowd in between acts with stupid Christmas jokes that we just couldn't take anymore. Not sure what time the event actually concluded, but at the rate they were going while we were there it probably would've been at least midnight. If anyone is considering attending this event in 2012, please don't waste your money and time!

    CMA Country Christmas was amazing!

by themanager on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

It is always nice to see the country stars make such an effort to bring the magic and warmth back to Christmas. This is the second year we have attended the taping and it is a wonderful show. I hope they continue to do this for many years to come!!!

Country Christmas the second time around.

by PHicks on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

I should have known with a live event there would be a lot of stops and starts, but it was way too many (long ones at that) and I could not fully enjoy the show. I also suggest CMA amp up their organizational skills. Questions I had: Who's running the sound board? Jennifer Nettles should not have had to keep telling them she was heavy on the left side in her ear. Those guys running the board need further training or should be fired. Who's the MD for this show? There should always be a musical director for the show, if not for little things like, who's singing what in the finale. If they had one, that person is lacking as well, because anyone who puts Kellie Pickler's part (sweet girl but not with the best ear or the strongest vocally) right after a quick key change is not making a wise decision. Bless her heart she couldn't get it. By 10:00 p.m. there was the (disastrous) finale that they performed first (makes sense logistically) and maybe 3 or 5 performances. Granted, this was supposed to start at 7:30 (it was more like 8 p.m.). Bottomline, people should be charged way less for an event like this.

    Not quite the experience...

by MrJo on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

This is not quite the experience I was expecting. Since it is a made for tv recording, it is very produced and the opposite of entertaining at times. I thought it would be like any concert or live show, but multiple takes and re-dos of songs makes for a very long night. I enjoyed the chance to see country music stars sing christmas favorites but you learn quickly how diva some of them are with the exception of a few - Vince Gill and surprisingly the American Idol contestant winners Scotty and Lauren Alaina who probably actually practiced prior unlike Kellie Pickler.

    CMA Country Christmas

    by nicenurse5 on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Seeing the performers was wonderful. Getting seated was a long process because of ongoing practices. It was way too cold in our seats so we left right after the Brad Paisley numbers.

    Fun!

by Sglead on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

I had a lot of fun attending this concert. I would recommend going if you are closer than the nose-bleed section. They have to often re-start the songs and you can barely seem them, and I got a little impatient after 5 hours and left. Though I did have fun, I will only go in the future if I have closer seats!

    CMA Country Christmas Awesome

by Miskbloomer on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

Don't forget to watch the CMA Country Christmas 2011 Dec. 1. We went to the taping of this show and it was awesome. Jennifer Nettles is an amazing host. It's going to be a great show. Oh yes, Miss Piggy will be there also. The taping took awhile but the show is going to be great.

    CMA County Christmas taping disorganized

    by JAS123 on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

First of all the general admission was awful. We got there before the doors opened and stood in line. Once the doors opened people were walking past us and jumping the line. It took 30 minutes or more to get in and then we went to club level where the seats were and ended up waiting outside of section 210 for about 40 minutes until they opened the curtains to let us in. Then the curtains on either side of us were opened before our line so the seats were filled before we could even get down the steps. We had to go back up and search out 4 seats together. Very disorganized mess. The performances were awesome when they finally got around to them but it was often 15 minutes or longer between performances leaving the audience with Storm who ran out of bad jokes and had to ask the audience to send him some. There were many delays due to sound equipment and other equipment problems. The first hour they had performed the finale 3 times. The show taping was suppose to end at 9:30 but by 9:00 there had only been about 4 performances with many more to perform. We left at 11:00 and there were still more performances we did not get to see. It was not all what I expected and seemed unrehearsed and disorganized. Next year I will save my money and watch it on television.

    Very disappointed

by tinkernow on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

It sounded like a great idea, but we were very disappointed. Why is it general admission??? We were pushed and yelled at like cattle. It took 45 min to get 2 songs taped, It was a great line up and Jennifer is a great host, but if you have to wait 10-15 min in between songs it is hard to get into the christmas spirit. We left "early" at 11 pm, as did a lot of other people. The live taping just takes too long. I am looking forward to seeing it on TV

    Not what I expected

    by meg2002 on 11/13/11Bridgestone Arena - Nashville

The event was chaotic and not well planned. Had to leave at ten and only got to see a few individual acts. Hopeing to be in the Christmas spirit after we left, but just tense. Kids were bored and didn't have the patience to sit still. Also, when we got there at 7, still not letting us sit down. Everyone was running into each other and very irritable. Making statements about how unorganized the event was. Was interesting to see the process of filming for television. And, to get a chance to see the country singers for a bit.
