“Clue” must be incredibly hard to pull off, but this cast did it without seeming to break a sweat. As the show progresses, the speed of everything increases as does the physical exertion required of nearly everyone on stage. This type of show is simetimes called by experts a French farce. (I get the farce part, rather reminiscent of the best of the Marx Brothers, but the French part? Probably historical in nature.) lots of running, rapid entrances and exits—you get the picture. If it’s not handled with aplomb, it’s tedious. No tedium in this production, and not a weak link in the cast either. Audience buzz in the lobby as we left indicated that the crowd felt the same about the show as I did. Highly recommended!
