I went to this event with my family cheering for the visiting team.. LA Galaxy. The fans from Chivas USA were respectful and didn't try to damage the experience for others. Overall it was a fun experience as it always is at the Home Depot Center win or lose.
I thought the atmospher was great! Seemed like a playoff game with the excitement in the air. The only complaint was that the game should have been pushed back to 7:30 instead of 7 because the parking situation was not very pleasant. Had to park way in the back of the Cal State campus. Barely made it to my seat in time for the game.
It was a wonderful experince. The tickets were a surprise to my boyfriend, who is a huge soccer fan. He loved everything about the game.
Parking: 15 dollars. Close to the stadium. Tailgating allowed and an affordable option. Venue: Beautiful stadium. Seating close to the action. Clean bathrooms. Many food options (nothing special, but the standard fare: hamburgers, hotdogs, etc.). Leaving: Left on the 85th minute with no delay in leaving the parking area.
Tickets were very easy to purchase. I was buying them as a gift. Event was fun prize forthe tickets were perfect.
The Home Depot Center is a great venue, the game was exciting, and the seat excellent. I have attended Chivas soccer at this venue many times. The only downside was the incredible length of time it took to get out of the parking lot when the game was finished. Seems like they were using a different scheme to empty the lots.
"Beckham scored on a free kick" pretty much says it all. The venue is great --- doubtful there's a bad seat in the place. Security is plentiful and visible, parking extremely well organized. The food, as usual for sporting events, is w-a-y overpriced, especially when you consider the mediocre quality. But flavorless, lukewarm pizza, polyester-cheese nachos and $5 cones of cotton candy help pay those superstar salaries. And in Mr. Beckham's case, worth every last penny.
It was a great game, great weather, great time!! The Chivas USA kicked butt!!
This was my first time attending the Home Depot Center, I had an amazing time! I will definitely attend again and recommend to friends!
Stadium was only 50% full but the atmosphere was festive and I really enjoyed the game.
I had a great time at Home Depot, I love watching "Futbol Mexicano" and watching my favorite team from Mexico "Pachuca" was awesome". It was great watching both teams play. I hope the semi finals & finals at at Home Depot.
As being my first soccer game attending live, I must say it was an amazing experience. Just like any place, you make it whatever you want to make it. I gave it only 4 stars cuz of my seats only. Best place to sit, if you want to get rowdy, is right behing the goals. Otherwise if you dont, then ill advise to stay from those seats. Anyways I would recommend going to a game and I'll definitely be going back.
We drove up from San Diego, enough said.... If we are going to spend 4 hours in the car round trip to see a soccer game it better be good. And it was. My son went to his first soccer game and he can't stop talking about it. LOVED IT.. p.s. thanks to my wife for the great birthday gift..
Great game, Took my husband for his birthday gift and it was fun. Very exciting and friendly atmosphere. Easy to get to and lots of families were there. We only wished we took our kids. Would come again.
The rivalry between the Galaxy and Chivas USA is even more spectacular in person. The match was intense not just the play on the field but from the atmosphere created by the fans from both teams. The LA supporter groups really made the match more exciting and fun. I would definitely recommend this match up to my friends and family.
This was very much like I expected as I have been to may Galaxy Games in the past. The situation with will call was a little strange. The line was quite long but moved along pretty fast however as we finally got up to the front of the line a representative of Chivas asked for our drivers liecenses and when to get the tickets. They asked us to wait by the ATM machine. I assumed that this would be quicker than stepping up to the will call window since they must know what they were doing. we waited by the ATM for over 10 minutes even though we were next in line for the window. As we did not have our ID's we were stuck. The tickets finally arrived buit many people commented that they were not comfortable handing over thier ID's including myself. Pay the extra money and print out the tickets before hand.
it is an event to enjoy with family or friends, even if soccer it not your sport
The game was awesome. It was a battle from the start. Our seats were fantastic and my kids had the best time watching these two teams. It was our first professional soccer match and it was unforgettable.
The game was great, but total chaos and confusion ruled the parking lots after the game as fans tried to leave the stadium. The parking attendants seemed to give up and abandon their posts, and none of the parking attendants seemed to know how to deal with the situation. I have been to Galaxy games before with none of these problems. Don't know if Chivas USA has different people working traffic control, but if so, they need to be trained better.
Great game! My son and I attended our first MSL game. We were rooting for the Galaxy. Seats were great, i don't think there is a bad sead at Home Depot Center. We had a gret time!
