CLINT BLACK IN CONCERT:
Country superstar Clint Black knows a thing or two about penning a catchy tune â he's got more than 20 No. 1 singles under his belt, and his hit-filled live shows have the feel of a greatest hits tour. It makes him something of a maverick in a genre where many artists record music written by other songwriters. Black has spent the bulk of his career singing his own songs, and it's served him well. His penchant for witty puns and clever turns of phrase is on full display in concert â both in the lyrics of favorites like "A Better Man" and during his amusing between-song banter. With his warm baritone voice, killer harmonica playing, and catalog of clever-mouthed hits, Clint Black is a must-see for ticket buyers who like their classic country served straight-up.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Clint Patrick Black was born in New Jersey but raised in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX. He grew up playing music with his family, and by his teens he had serious chops on both the guitar and the harmonica. Black cut his teeth as a singer performing with his brothers in a family band, and he eventually dropped out of high school to play music full-time. He spent the bulk of the '80s working odd jobs while moonlighting as a country performer, and in 1989 he got his big break when RCA signed him and released his debut album Killin' Time. The record spawned five consecutive country No. 1s, making him a star overnight and earning him several Academy of Country Music Awards including Album of the Year and Top Male Vocalist. His chart run continued in the '90s with a string of Top 10 albums and chart-topping hits like "A Good Run of Bad Luck" and "Nothin' But the Taillights." Black parted ways with RCA in the early '00s and took a few years off to start a family, and in 2004 he returned with his eighth album Spend My Time, which he released on his own label Equity Music Group. Critics hailed the album as his most adventurous outing to-date, and Black has remained prolific ever since, consistently delivering both in the studio and on tour.

Saw Clint Black at Penns Peak. Loved the concert. When you watch him perform, you can see how much he loves singing and playing on stage. His band members are awesome too.

Love it. One of the best concerts I've seen in awhile. He is a true Entertainer!!! If you love country music go to see Clint Black!!! Awesome and Amazing!!! You will not be disappointed!!! đĽ°
Concert was very good. The Laberge restaurant was terrible. The Laberge in Baton Rouge has really gone down hill
Clint was wonderful and funny. I thoroughly enjoyed his concert. He sang his songs and a couple of Merle Haggard's songs. His fiddle player was phenomenal! Definitely would go to another of his concerts.
Clink Black was awesome & I love that he interacted with the crowd. I also liked the smaller venue, it made it more personable.
Great night. He and his band looked like they were having fun. That carries on to the audience. The sound was really good and because the venue was on the smaller side, and he had monitors, we were able to see well. His tribute to Jimmy Buffett song was excellent. If I had one disappointment, it would be, he didnât have his wife, or someone else there to sing one of his duets. But everything he and his band did play was great.
Clint Black was so funny and interactive with his audience. He has a full band of multi-talented musicians. He had his daughter and wife join him for a couple songs and they were wonderful. It was a great venue, as well. Wonderful evening.
I was a little disappointed that he didn't do more of his own music.
Clint Black is one of my all time favorite performers! Who knew he had such a great sense of humor as well. What a fantastic surprise to have his wife and daughter join him on stage! The intimate setting was perfect and I was pleased that he did not have an opening act.
Clint was as fun, entertaining and talented as ever! Been following him for over 30 years and he never disappoints. The band was also super, and Lisa and Lily Pearl helped to round out a great show!
Best show ever, would recommend for everyone to go , and would go again.
6th row center stage. We'll work the price. 2nd Clint show in 8 months!
music was incredible. personality very entertaining. great addition of his haughtier and wife. Loved he played Mrle Haggard. Waylon Jennings and Jimmy Buffet
We had almost two hours of Clint Black. No openers, no costume change breaks, just Clint and the band. Great guitar picking. This show, he added some covers, but did them so well that they fit right in with his catalog. His voice is as good as it ever was. We will be back when he comes back.
Great show, great venue, really enjoyed the show. Clint was funny, still had a nice voice, really enjoyed his wife and daughter, being part of the show.
This show was great, venue gets 5 stars, music gets 5 stars , Clint Black is real country and his band is for real! His wife and daughter were added hits to show! Hope they return in the future.
Clint Black and family were awesome!! Loved hearing his daughter sing and then his duet with his wife Lisa Hartman Black!! That was a nice surprise to see & hear both of them as well. The Mahaffey theatre is a great place to see anything but especially concerts. Clint was funny and did all his amazing hits!! A great evening!!
Clint sounds as good as ever! Exceeded all expectations and he's got personality off the charts as well! Don't miss the show if you have the chance to go! He and the band were awesome! Looking for then next show already.
