City Morgue on Tour

You're going to want to store up your energy before seeing City Morgue live so it can all be released when New York City's ZillaKami and SosMula take the stage. A City Morgue show can be a full contact experience. The group fuse nu-metal and trap to form their own horrorcore hip-hop, a style that's taken shape in tours where they've been featured and recently on the creation of the wild As Good as Dead tour. The duo supported Denzel Curry on the Florida rapper's Ta13oo tour in 2018 before jumping on $uicideboy$'s extensive 2019 Grey Day tour, where they shared the stage with other similarly off-kilter hip-hop acts like Shoreline Mafia, Curry, Trash Talk, Night Lovell, Germ and Pouya. Fiercely loyal fans follow City Morgue everywhere — to festival appearances and to stops on the As Good as Dead tour. A mosh pit with a nonstop engine is as common as rapping along to every lyric. Every time City Morgue plays, it's complex hip-hop with a hard metal edge.

City Morgue in Concert

The MC duo of ZillaKami and SosMula (né Junius Rogers and Vinicus Sosa) along with producer Bouabdallah Sami Nehari, aka Thraxx, make up City Morgue. Rogers grew up in Long Island, listening to metal acts like Korn and Slipknot, while Sosa came up in Harlem. Rogers became ZillaKami and started ghostwriting tracks for the embattled Tekashi 69 before breaking off into his own rap persona. He linked by chance with SosMula on the latter's first day home from jail and they started collaborating on music that they dropped on SoundCloud. At one point, City Morgue released a track every Sunday on the platform for nearly six months, building a devoted fan base in the process, sparking a hardcore rap movement and establishing what Noisey referred to as "New York's Most Shocking Rap Duo." They signed to UMG imprint Republic Records for the release of their 2018 debut, Hell or High Water, as well as the sophomore drop of late 2019's As Good as Dead, featuring the track "Draino" with Denzel Curry.

great show but zilla is zilla

    by cata on 5/20/23

saw them in SFO for the MBA tour. the openers were fabulous btw and the energy of the crowd was good. SOS put on a good show as per usual but zilla had a clear lack of energy. i know he "hates touring" but when you spend money on a performance, you expect a performance. it's hit or miss with these guys but you'll have fun regardless.

    Fun show

by Jordan on 5/15/23The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

Vein was great. Security was amazing. City Morgue lacked all stage presence, didn’t even move around or switch sides so only seen one performer close.

Amazing! Thanks for showing up MARYLAND

by Noodles on 5/15/23The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver Spring

I’ve taken my two boys 10 and 15 all over the country to see City Morgue. They are now 11 and 16. I will say the Maryland show was this beat up till we went to their home NYC! The crowd was amazing the venue was perfect! I am able to enjoy the show at my age (50) and my kids can also which is hard some times depending on the type of show. The Fillmore was lit!!!! As the kids would say. 💪❤️🍜

    City Morgue Charlotte nc

    by H. K. on 5/13/23The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

Opener was not good, meet and greet nt worth the money. The lady who was in charge of the meet and greet treated everyone like little kids and was not very nice. All the other staff were great and really looked out for the safety of everyone. Lots of mosh pits and high energy.

by Anthony on 5/13/23The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

The entire place felt unreal the performance was incredible and the crowd definitely reflected that, everyone was on one wavelength I wish I can relive that night over and over, having a night like that was definitely needed for me it was nice to take a break from life for at least one night.

    Great place for a concert

by Jsohn on 5/13/23The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

Excellent little venue. The majority of the staff was great and kind. Only a couple grouchy ones at the gates, but that's understandable. Took my son and a friend. It was a fun experience overall. Only thing I didn't understand was why my son's friend could bring in his asthma inhaler, but people were vaping all over the place. We'll go back depending on if there's a band we want to see.

    Important Venue Info not Disclosed

by Max on 5/13/23The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

The Show was great! Awesome openers, City Morgue came out with awesome stage presence, energy, and overall great audio and light show throughout the night. In regards to what could have been improved is the accommodations of the venue, there was only GA (floor) tickets available, when we got there, the floor was max capacity and security wasn't allowing anyone else to enter the main floor area. Had to enjoy the show from the back behind the rails, and dining/ sound system area. I have never been to the Fillmore, and may not be returning due to this. Tickets should be sold separately for separate areas if there are capacity limits. Not to mention, security also pushed the rails for everyone to exit the venue not even 10 minutes after the show ended, I understand they are just trying to get people to exit the venue but I have gone to plenty of venues and never had this occur, just felt rushed and unaccommodated.

    I was there for vein

by Sam on 5/13/23The Fillmore Charlotte - Charlotte

I don’t like city morgues music or their fans so I’m a little biased but I think they are some of the laziest performers I’ve ever had to see live. Vein was an amazing and I had the best time, the pit was alright but the city morgue fans are just kinda weird. I thought the video of them trying to teach the kids how to mosh and crowd kill was so cringe. These kids would not last at a hardcore show. Vein are excellent performers and I love the music. My 3 stars are for vein.

    10/10 show

    by p.haze on 5/11/23

Great opener, really turned me onto VEIN.FM, they were the perfect choice for their opener. City Morgue did great they played all the classics just wish they delved into each others solo projects more. My only wish is they interacted with the crowd more. Got the meet and greet thing but was too scared to say anything so yeah that’s on me lol. 10/10 experience would do again!
