About

Cirque Shanghai: Dragon’s Thunder” is a spectacle for audiences of all ages, featuring performers direct from China who are leaders in their craft of tumbling, juggling, balancing and more. This year’s production features an incredible line up of awe-inspiring acts, including “The Chinese Flex Bar,” the heart stopping “Gravity Swings,” and the awesome sounds of the traditional Chinese “Dragon Drums.” Back from last year’s show is the fate tempting “Wheel of Destiny,” and China’s finest daredevil motorcycle troupe, “Imperial Thunder,” returns with not two, not four, but five motorcyclists riding at break-neck speeds within a steel globe.

    Cirque Shanghai is great!

Very entertaining show! The acrobats are super talented. The pace of the show is non-stop. The costumes and scenery are colorful and add to the overall feel of the show. I would go again!

    Beautifully amazing

by kcnslfan2 on 7/9/09Pepsi Skyline Stage At Navy Pier - Chicago

Okay - so I went thinking how much entertainment can one get for such an inexpensive ticket. It was more than I could've imagined. The thrill never stopped. The costuming, the choreography, the backdrops, not to mention, the unbelievable acrobatic stunts performed were stunning. I watched in awe as the performers flew through the air one after the other with grace and "ease". I don't know how they do half of the things they do; but they sure did! If you go to Navy Pier take in this show. It will be well worth your time and money.

    Fantastic

by GrandmaJudy on 7/9/09Pepsi Skyline Stage At Navy Pier - Chicago

My grandaughter & I had a wonderful time at Cirque Shanghai at Navy Pier. I have never seen anything so colorful and fast moving. She is only 4 and it kept her attention the whole time. Weather did not co-operate for the rest of the day at Navy Pier but still had an enjoyable time.

    Bright Spirit...that's not physically POSSIBLE...

by MomandLaura on 7/9/09Pepsi Skyline Stage At Navy Pier - Chicago

Bright Spirit: Cirque Shanghia was some of the most well-spent money I've ever parted with! The presentation was a non-stop, mesmerizing, colorful hour and fifteen minutes of fun and awe! The strength and flexibility, balance and coordination of the performers was complimented by the underlying "story" and the joy with which it was presented.

    remarkable

The performers were great with what they did and if we didn't get the program we would have been very satisfied with the performance. unfortunately the program gives you the impression you will see a much different show than what is presented especially as you wait for cerrtain parts of the act that never happen. All in all it was a good time
