The show was excellent, started on time, clown acts were hilarious, and the acrobatics were amazing as always. Parking took a little while b/c there was a baseball game at the same time, but plenty of cops directing traffic, and leaving was a breeze.
As usual Cirque du Soleil knows how to put on an awesome show. Everything about Allegria was Amazing. From the performers, to the music to the costumes and stage it was all utterly facinating. Everytime that Cirque du Soleil comes to town we go to see the show and have never once been disappointed. Allegria was one of the best that we have seen. Sure to delight young and old.
The performance was fantastic. I am a Cirque fan, need I say any more.. The venue was very accomidating. My seats was not available since the set took up more space than orginially thought and the view was obstructed. They gave me another seat, and it was in a great location.
My wife and children (four and seven year old) beamed from start to finish. The costumes, staging, and production are top notch. Alegria has provided wonderful wildly creative memories for the entire family. I have been two other cirques and this was by far, the best.
we went with our 2 young kids and we were all blown away by this show! i am sure that the flimsy yet poignant poetry of the clowns' acts and the impeccable athletic executions will stay in our mind's eye for a long time
My title, above, says it all...If you're thinking you'll see the awe and extravaganza of a Las Vegas or Disney sized Cirque show, you will be disappointed. It's more like a traveling troupe of acrobats, contortionists and eerie clowns who perform in a nice small coliseum setting...
Cirque du Soleil is just more than amazing, i've wanted to see my for a long time...i couldnt've asked for me, i love them... i love freul!
Alegria was Amazing,Funny. I would not recommend it for young children,
My first Cirque du Soliel experience - Alegria - will insure my attendance at any future shows! The costumes, music, illusions, contortionists (how do they do that?), the gymnasts, trapeze artists, the guy with the fire and the gal with the hoops - WOW! A spectacle I won't soon forget - fun for all ages!
The lights, the music, the acrobatics were all worth the $80 ticket price. The Harbor Yard venue in CT was small but intimate. The cirque shows always have the secondary performers in between the main event and they were ok, a little childish at times. The main performers however, were amazing to see. I saw one of the shows in Vegas and that had (of course) a bigger production value. But this show was equally entertaining and close to home. The characters interacted with the audience well and that brought additional entertainment value.
Once again the impressive acrobatics and talent of the performers was amazing...I was not disappointed!
From the very start of the show it was amazing. The music matched the performance. Young and Old enjoyed it!
Magical and breathtaking displays of agility and body control. I will never look at Olympic gymnastics with the same awe again after seeing these remarkably talented performers! A fun filled and awe-inspiring evening!
A show for everybody. Go see it as a family. Starts out slow - but ends exciting. Prices are on discount - which makes it even better.
This was my first experience with Cirque du Soleil and the acrobatic feats were awesome, but the theme was weird for me as well as our kids. I would bury the program and read about the theme...before the performance starts. Don't get me wrong, the kids thought it was great (15 and 13), I'm sure another theme might have been better.

The show is great. The performers exhibit amazing skills. The venue is very good and the management of traffic flow before and after the event is excellent. Now, if the patrons would only come on time for the performance, stay seated during the show and honor the requests to turn off cell phones and not take pictures/video of any kind everyone could have a great experience. If the patrons can not manage to behave properly, maybe the venue should lock the doors at the beginning of the performance and ask those who violate the cell phone and video rules to leave. Alternatively, maybe there can be a section of seats set aside for people who can not or will not behave considerately.
Great evening in Bridgeport enjoying Cirque du Soleil's Alegria. A must see .. especially if you have never experienced Cirque du Soleil. Will wet your appetitie for attending the spectacular Las Vegas and Disney venues where Mystere, O, Ka and Nuba are performed. Don't miss it while it is in the easy to get to, user friendly Harbor Yard Arena in Bridgeport.
