There was a lethergy to this show that served as a contrast to the dynamic energy and mobility to the other part of the show. Jerky, slow off-rythm movements sharpened the crisp snapping powerful ones. Ominous music juxtaposed the vibrant. The show was awesome.
This was easily one of the best show I've ever been to. The performers were strong, agile and very well rehearsed. It was mesmerizing to see the way they all performed togegther in perfect synchronicity. My face hurts from smiling so much. I will see this show every time it comes to Ct !!
Simply wasn't as breathtaking as other Cirque Du Soleil shows. Long 'clown' acts got a bit boring. Athletic performances were high quality but lacked in quantity. I can only give three stars for overall show but give 5 stars to most of the individual performances.
Show was great. My 4 year old daughter loved it. She loved the clowns and all of the gymnastics. Parking was terrible once we went to leave. One gate from our lot for all the cars to get out. No help from parking attendants. Just sat around in chairs. Not to mention there was a baseball game next door and a later show, so it became a nightmare. Glad I didn't go to the later show.
Although Alegria has been part of Cirque du Soleil`s repetoire for a number of years, it still remains fresh and exciting, not to mention, very funny as well. The musicians, all dressed in white face and costumes, provided really great thematic moments for the performers who themselves provided many "heart in your throat" moments. This also marked our 7th different Cirque production that we`ve seen. All I can say is that Alegria will have your backs to your seat in pure awe at their magic
Just a lackluster rehash of the same tired acts I've seen in your other shows.
I bought this as a birthday present, and it was a hit! The seats we sat in, even if it was floor tickets, were terrible. They were really low so we had to either stand up, or miss a whole lot of the show. Bottom line is that this was amazing, and it is really worth it!
I can't get over how great this show was. It was so beautiful - the costumes, the music, the way the actors move in such synchrony with each other and with the music. I didn't want it to end!
We have been wanting to see Circ Du Soleil forever and finally got to see it. The Arena at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport was a very nice venue and we had perfect seats. The performance was marvelous. Funny, poignant, sometimes tugging at the heart strings. Full of action, always interesting and entertaining, We loved it and can't wait to see some of the other shows.
What can you say? It's Cirque du Soleil. Always lives up to and often exceeds expectations. Spectacular effects and talent.
This was the 1st Cirque I have seen and will want to see all of then now. It was breathtaking-never a dull moment! I highly recommend it to everyone!
Alegria was spelling binding, enjoyable and beautiful!
It was a wonderful show. We had seats on the floor, second row, facing the stage. In theory, we were supposed to have the best seats. Unfortunately, as the floor is flat (no denivelation, even very slight), the view on the show was not as good as it should have been. In conclusion: top level for Alegria and le Cirque du Soleil, very poor score for Arena...
You can almost never go wrong with Cirque (except Wintuk, ick!). This show was no exception. Excellent acts, amazing performers, incredible live music. Cirque du Soleil is always a wonderful time, and this show does not disappoint.
Not worth the $95, Very disappointed. Had floor seats 5 rows from the stage and couldn't see the performers on the stage. This is the 3 Cirue du Soleil I have attended. Last year Kooza in Hartford was the best. The tent and seating provided everyone with a view because the seats were not all on one level. Also saw the show in Downtown Disney. On a scale of 1-10, Kooza was a 10, Disney was a 9 and Alegria was a 2. The performers although good were not the sensational type in other shows and were not exciting. Very, very disapponted.
Our first Cirque De Soleil show and was completely amazed. Show was terrific and we will definitely see more performances in the future!
What great performances! The chanteuse was really incredible. Even though not under the bigtop the show was so fabulous. The effect is definitely diminished in the arena but it still is hypnotizing. If you get a chance check it out, it's well worth the admission!
I've seen 3 other Cirque du Soleil performances and this was by far the worst. If you're there for your first show it may have been quite entertaining.
Fun, but would have been nice if more of the arena was used for the show.
