    Satimbanco delightful!

by BullDolphin on 7/10/09Germain Arena - Estero

Saltimbanco was quite a collection of talent, including musicians, dancers, aerialists, acrobats, strong men, trapeze artists, clowns, drummers, a bicyclist and a supporting cast that added magic to every moment. The troupe formed a real connection with the audience by involving them in the show. The show stirred many emotions from heart stopping fear as the aerialists spun high above to gut busting laughter at the clowning. All in all, we had a delightful evening and would recommend it to any and all.

Cirque Du Soleil- Never Fails to Be the Best

by slaufer on 7/10/09Germain Arena - Estero

I ordered tickets for my husband, my three year old daughter and I for the Cirque Du Soleil: Saltimbanco performace at the Germain Areana in Estero, Florida. And it was awesome!!!! I really enjoyed the two performers that twirl boleadoras in the air. A boleadora is a simple percussion instrument made of a weight attached to the end of a cord. The weights bounce off the ground and make exploding sounds either in unison or in counterpoint to the dance steps of the performers. Awesome rhythm! The lights, the colors, the costumes, the makeup, and most importantly- the performances were perfection! It was like watching art come to life. I don't think I have laughed so hard in my life, or been as close to the edge of my seat, or completely captivated by any performance like I was with Saltimbanco. Cirque Du Soleil has earned themselves an outstanding reputation to entertain audiences of all ages. My daughter loved every minute of the performance! She even cried at the end when she realized it was over. It was so exciting and so much fun, I couldn't blame her, I didn't want it to end either. I highly, highly, highly recommend that everyone experience at least one Cirque Du Soleil performance in their lifetime. It is truly memorable.

Amazing evening at cirque du soleil

by Beffy on 7/10/09Germain Arena - Estero

This was a fabulous show from beginning to end. The performers engaged the audience with interactive play and pranks---the mime was fantastic at that. The band was first rate as well and seamlessly timed all their LIVE music with each of the acts. I've seen Cirque de la Symphony before which uses some Cirque du soleil performers with live orchestra back up and that was spectacular too, but, the costumes, lighting, acts, of Saltimbanco took that to a whole new level. GO SEE THIS SHOW!

    Excellent

by MissyScooter on 7/10/09Germain Arena - Estero

The show was great. Costumes where good. The story behind Saltimbanco made no sense, but this is the first Cirque Du Soleil I have been to. Looking forward to going to more performances. Understad that the Orlando, and Las Vegas shows are a bit more showey because they are not traveling shows. Performers were just amazing.

    Saltimbanco

by alzy on 7/10/09Germain Arena - Estero

Saltimbanco in Germain Arena, Estero, FL was very enjoyable and the audience reacted accordingly. Costumes were eye popping, clowns very amusing, acrobatics very creative and well executed. Best advantage was taken of fairly tight performance space. Definitely worth seeing.

THIS SHOW WAS WELL PACED, BUT LACKED A LOT OF THE AERIAL ACROBATICS I HAVE COME TO EXPECT--EXPENSIVE TO STAGE, BUT I OVERPAID.

    Saltimbanco leaves you speechless!!!!!

by Marksgirl on 7/9/09Germain Arena - Estero

I first saw this performance more than 10years ago at the annual Prince's Trust Charity event in London, UK. The same weekend I read the Sunday Times where the Arts critic, a famously old, hardened and fierce crumudgeon gave the show only his 2nd ever career 10/10; the first having gone to The opening night of Phantom of the Opera with Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman. Today, countless thousands of performances on, Saltimbanco has lost none of it's thrill and ability to leave you on the edge of your seat, knuckles white with fear for what might happen in front of your eyes and constantly shaking your head in disbelief at the seemingly inhumane spectacle on stage. The Cirque du Soleil and ALL of it's diverse performances, is one of life's true and rare phenomenons. NEVER miss an opporunity to be there.
