Compared to previous Cirque du Soleil performances, this had fewer breathtaking moments. It seemed to be CdS light. The performers were all talented and the show remained riveting but this was not the show that would have established their vaunted reputation. Perhaps the fact that it was in a building rather than their own tent affected the show.
Show was good but have seen better performances from them.
Amazing! Music, comedy and most of all incredible acrobatics!
Great show as usual...The clown was simple and probably the best part of the show
It's definitely not on par with their Vegas shows. We wouldn't recommend this one. Our seats had a bar from railing right in our sightline, so we moved to empty seats.
I had seen it before in the 90's when they came to San Jose. It was just as great the second time!
My wife and I saw Quidam at the HP Pavilion in downtown San Jose on March 24. This was our third Cirque du Soleil show and it was just as awesome as any others that we have seen. If you have never been introduced to Cirque du Soleil, Quidam is a great place to start. Highly recommended!
Loved it. Much better than the "big top" shows I've seen but not as fabulous as the shows in Las Vegas. I would see them at this venue again, but spring for better seats!
I first saw Quidam on PBS in 2000, and I got hooked on Cirque. They've been touring outside of the US for years, so I jumped at the oppourtubity to see it. It's not quite as flashy as some of the other Cirque shows, but it is still impressive and entertaining.
The show overall was averaage. The clown act in the second act was way too long. I am not sure if I would attend another Cirque du Soleil performance.
I saw many shows of cirque du solie and this one it's ok not great like the others by Still the best!!
The show ok! The seat where I got is the most expensive and Not good. Big fat guy on my side and big had in front of me, ......
I've been to many, many Cirque Du Soleil shows and by far, this was my least favorite of them all. The first half was exceptionally boring and I almost fell asleep. It also didn't help that the lady sitting next to me cackled like a pyschopath the entire time. The second half of the show was much better. All in all, I felt the show spent too much time on skits as opposed to actual acrobatic acts. Now for the location. Usually when Cirque Du Soleil comes to the Bay Area, perform in the big top tents. I don't think the show was suited for the HP Pavilion. We had floor seats....facing the stage and in the 4th row. Due to the fact that the floor seats were all on the same level, even though we were in the 4th row, I could barely see. The people sitting in the 3 rows in front of us were tall so they blocked my view. The couple sitting directly in front of us had a baby which they kept passing back and forth to one another so it was really distracting. So we spent a lot of money on what turned out to be crappy seats.
WE THOUGHT IT WAS A VERRY DARK COMEDY, IT HAD WAY TO MUCH DARKNESS THAN UPLIFTING MOMENTS.
've seen about ten Cirque Du Soleil shows over the years, and always before I walked away thinking "Wow, awesome!". Last night's performance of Quidam was disappointing. Flat, uneven pacing, almost bland and boring. The performance was almost amateurish, something I would never expect from Cirque Du Soleil It was like a kids show. Every time the performers started to build energy, the "plot" stifled it. The people sitting next to me didn't like it either, and I heard several others complaining on the way to the horribly overpriced parking. $20. There were individual acts which were good, but some got to be boring such as the woman balancing on small pads atop rods. She was strong, flexible and graceful, but her act stretched about double what it should have. After the first few minutes of the same poses, she was mostly repeating. Many of the acts were like that, stretched to fill much more time than we should have had to endure. One couple did slow motion acrobatic balancing - impressive strength, but very slow and low energy. Sadly, this performance basically lacked the magic that makes Cirque Du Soleil so fascinating. The venue was ok but the lighting was awful, often blinding me.
From the beginning to the end, I was fascinated with every single part of this wonderfully crafted show. It was an unforgettable experience, in which I experienced a wide range of emotions as the daring acrobats and the powerful dancers put on a show. The message of the show is a worthwhile one, and the way they convey it is beautiful. I will go see this show again and I'll bring more family and friends.
Amazing show! Excellent music and performers. Great lighting effects.
I Love cirque du soleil. I have always seen them in there tents so I bought floors seats which are always amazing and very expensive. They were terrible couldn't see a thing. We ended up leaving half way through the show. What a waste of money!!!
this was the third time I have seen cirque and this one wasnt as exciting as the others, I was pretty bored for the first half. I guess if it was my first time i would have been more im pressed not knowing how much better it can be.
