About

Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil is an electrifying fusion of acrobatics, cutting-edge technology, dance and visuals immersing the audience into the world of Michael’s music. Hailed by Rolling Stone as “A virtual parade of ‘WOW’ moments,” Michael Jackson ONE takes the audience on a journey through the King of Pop’s legendary discography.

When developing the stage, designer François Séguin was inspired by the cover art of Michael Jackson's album Dangerous

Though it explores many themes and motifs, at the heart of it all, Michael Jackson ONE reminds us to put love back into the world. Because in the words of Michael Jackson, “We are ONE.”

  • True to Michael Jackson's Legacy

by jdvegas1 on 10/6/13Mandalay Bay MJ Theatre - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Although the show was not my favorite, I did thoroughly enjoy it. I have seen all resident Las Vegas Cirque shows, and a majority of shows here in Las Vegas and I think this one is definitely one of the better shows to see. I felt like the best parts of the show were the acrobatics and I feel that if you sit too far back, the show loses its "wow" factor a bit.

  • MJ's ONE is really the ONE!

by ElaineQDLC on 9/16/13Mandalay Bay Hotel - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was absolutely AMAZING! This production captivates the best and most intimate musical moments of this legend. As colorful as Cirque de Soleil is, there is a dark, mysterious side to it, and that is exactly how this unfolds. If you enjoy the music of this legend, this is a MUST see! Great sound, color and story line from the moment you step into this theatre!

  • Michael Jackson ONE is a winner.

by Dangerouss on 7/31/13Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I'm from Brazil and watched three shows by cirque last week in Las Vegas: "Ka", "Beatles LOVE" and "Michael Jackson ONE." In my opinion, "Michael Jackson ONE" is the BEST show in Las Vegas, and the best show I've ever seen in my life. No, I am not exaggerating... According to the local newspaper 'Vegas Deluxe', "the verdict is unanimous: Brilliant! Fantastic! Phenomenal! Even Justin Bieber, in town for a concert Friday night at MGM Grand, watched the world premiere of Cirque du Soleil's" Michael Jackson One "at Mandalay Bay on Saturday night and said: "The show Reminded us que que he was the greatest ever did it. Incredible!" Without a doubt, Michael Jackson ONE is a winner. Sound, dance, acrobatics ... everything is perfect!!!

  • I enjoy MJ but this show wasn't worth the $

by ceelovely on 7/9/13Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

I paid a pretty penny for these show tickets but the show just didn't deliver. I enjoyed the music but it was mostly fancy lighting and some dancing. There were some highs and some lows and I mean way low. I really loved the "Thriller" act but that's where it ends. Don't get me wrong I know and listen to a lot of MJ music and this show isn't terrible but it was most lighting and staging that gives the tickets a high price. Most other shows have amazing acrobatics with ooh's and aww's but not this show, it seemed basic with smoke and mirrors. I was wanting more but I didn't get that omg I loved the show in the end.

  • ONE is a more then a show!

by USONE on 7/8/13Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

ONE is more then a show! ONE is a message to the world: we are all, ONE! This was delivered by Michael Jackson in so many ways, and now Cirque du Soleil, with incredible mastery, keeps it alive. The show is a story of hope for our world, to become a better one, and no effort has been spared: as Jonathan Moffet(Sugarfoot) said, when MJ came into a room the molecules changed. Well they are still changing, as so many are inspired by his music, his dance, his lyrics, his passion for humanity and Planet Earth, despite all he endured. This show brings all you expect, short of Michael himself. It is so therapeutic to feel the love and respect, and the whole room becomes electromagnetic as Michael's presence builds up and it is taken to unprecedented levels. Costumes are also inspired by Michael, of course, and Zaldy: thumbs up!! Same for choreography and song mix!!The dancers! The acrobats! Wow, where can I stop, because..."don't stop 'till you get enough" and can't get enough, really:)! Thank you to the Estate, Cirque du Soleil and my friends who made this such a magical weekend! Thank you, Michael Jackson, for all the joy and caring! When all said and done, this is what matters, and where the truth is: in Michael's wonderful work, carried on now By Cirque du Soleil!

  • The King of Pop Lives On!

by preciousgemcrystal on 7/8/13MJ One Theater at Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

INCREDIBLE! I bought these tickets as a pre-sale email from one of my travel sites I subscribe to. I was immediately excited in hearing that Michael had his own cirque show and had to buy tickets. I actually attended the week before the official opening of the show. I couldn't have been more impressed. The choreography and stunts were spot on. Not only just the dance and the stunts, but the whole entire show was simply amazing. This was the most beautiful tribute to the King of Pop. If you are a fan in any way shape or form you MUST buy tickets to see this. There is one thing I do want to mention. If you are expecting nothing but crazy acrobatics the entire show, you will not get it. This show is in tribute to Michael Jackson so it's very choreographically heavy. You have to expect that when you hear the name Michael Jackson. If dance isn't your thing, then you probably need to look into another cirque show. It's not all dance and nothing but dance, but it's got a lot of it. It needs to. Another suggestion? Pay more for the better seats. We had 4th row seats from the right of the stage. Incredible show, great set up and the sound is fantastic (built in seat speakers? yes please!). Do yourself a favor and see this!

  • Michael Jackson ONE is simply amazing!!

    by sim82958 on 7/6/13Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Of all the Michael Jackson tribute shows out there, Michael Jackson ONE is by far the best tribute put together in honor of the King of Pop. This show accurately captures Michael's spirit & who the man Michael Jackson was as a person. I strongly recommend seeing this show. I've seen it 3 times and I intend to see it again.

  • Amazing Tribute to KING OF POP!

This show is as good as it gets! This is an example of what LOVE can do! MJOne is simply brilliant. The perfect combination of two geniuses ...Michael Jackson and Cirque Du Soleil. Michael's mastery is evident ...and NO ONE can take that away from him. I am so excited to see the show again...and will head back to Vegas in July !

  • The Best Cirque Show Ever!

by Bruinkid on 6/14/13Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This is not just the best Cirque show ever, it is simply the best and most exciting show in Las Vegas. And that is saying a lot. The music, the dance, the acrobatics, the visuals, the sound system are the best in the world. You don't have to be an intense Michael Jackson or Cirque fan to love this show, although if you like Michael Jackson, or Cirque, or dance, or visual effects, this show is Nirvana! It is modern, it is state of the art, and it is a production that puts other shows (including Spider-Man in NY) to shame. Sheet entertainment at its best, I hope to see it many times....

  • BEST CIRQUE SHOW...PERIOD!

by Jnicki on 6/14/13Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen every cirque show and this one blows them all away! It is non stop action and has unbeatable entertainment value, never a dull moment! From high flying acrobats to slack liners, trampoline artists and a breathtaking hologram, it will leave you wanting more..I will certainly be back to Vegas multiple times just to see this show!

  • Loved this show! Would see over and over!

    by nikki1314 on 6/12/13Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

This event was amazing!!! This is the 5th Cirque du Soleil show I have seen and it was for sure the best one (that is saying quite a bit because I loved the other Vegas Cirque shows). We were in balcony seats, about 5th row up) and I we had a great view of everything. There is so much to take in. The music is unreal, the acrobatics are creative and awesome to watch and the dancing is beyond anything I've seen. What an extremely talented act this was. It was fun to be a part of the experience and they way they honored Michael Jackson with videos, dance moves, quotes, brought me to tears. This truly was an exceptional show. I hope it is in Vegas the next time we are there because I would not hesitate to see this again!

  • A must see for all you children of the 80's!

by clevername82 on 5/27/13Las Vegas, Mandalay Bay - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I have seen several of the "it" shows in Vegas. To give you an idea of our show experience, so to speak, we've seen the following: Mystere, O, Ka, La Reve, Blue Man Group, Love, The Lion King, Phantom of the Opera, Chris Angel Believe (don't hold that one against us), and Elton John. Needless to say, we had pretty much seen all that we wanted to see but then we heard that Michael Jackson One was opening in Mandalay Bay so we thought, what the heck?! We saw it just two days after opening and between that and the less than stellar reviews we had found, we were leery to say the least. But our tickets had already been purchased so we decided to just go and make the best of it. Let me just say - if you grew up in the 80's and/or are a fan of Michael Jackson, then this show does not disappoint. This show is to fans of Michael Jackson what Love is to fans of The Beatles. It's some wonderful interpretive dance and a great story line with a just a touch of acrobatics, but instead of being played out to The Beatles, it's to Michael Jackson instead. I was extremely worried going into this about what songs we would hear. I had read one review that said that none of MJ's big hits were included. This review was dead wrong. Any of MJ's big hits that you'd expect to be involved in this show were. Thriller, Billie Jean, Beat It, Bad - the list goes on. I won't say much else as to not give away anything other than the effects of the show and the dancers are all amazing. As I stated earlier, I've seen lots of Vegas shows and until now my favorite was probably Mystere. Well being a child of the 80's (and a huge fan of Michael Jackson), this one ranks right up at the top for me. I have a hard time deciding if I may have even liked this one more than Mystere!

  • EPIC SHOW

by damary on 5/26/13Michael Jackson ONE Theatre at Mandalay Bay - LAS VEGASRating: 5 out of 5

THE BEST CIRQUE SHOW YET! I have seen Mystere, O, Ka, and Zumanity. This, my friends, outshines them all! From the moment you enter the beautiful theater, you can tell a lot of thought and detail went into the design of it. If I were any of MJ's family and saw this show, I would literally be crying from beginning to end! I know somewhere, Michael himself is applauding this show for it has been done in great fashion. Doesnt matter if you are an MJ fan or not, one thing is for sure, after this show, you will have a whole new respect for the legendary entertainer. As much as I dont wanna give away the whole show, let me give you some tidbits for describing it just doesnt do it justice! From the beginning of the show, every song they performed reflected the style and grace of MJ himself. One example was when "Smoothe Criminal" was performed, just like in the video, they did "The Lean". These guys did not try to change anything different related to the song or music video which is how it should be done. Mixed in between you have Cirque's signature acrobatics on trampolines and dance moves. The costumes they wear are all very intricate and detail oriented. Bravo to those costume designers and make up artists that bust their butt to make these guys look good. As for the lighting and sound, let me tell you, im sure they took great lengths to make sure the lighting is synchronized with the sounds. As for the sound and music, here's a little secret, they have installed 2 speakers custom built into your seats! As you are watching the show, while songs are being performed, it seems like the back up singers are literally right behind you singing! With this speaker set up, the sound is truly surround sound. The other thing that I will reveal to you is towards the end of the show, they have a holographic image of MJ performing "Man in the Mirror" along with the Cirque performers. That portion of the show gave me the chills for it seemed like MJ himself was actually there. So in closing, this is a show I will definitely see again! Forget any other MJ tribute show you have ever seen, this is the ultimate homage to the King of Pop.
