Cinemartyr was formed in Limerick, Ireland by composer Shane Harrington in 2008, before relocating to New York City. "Stab City," a place once notorious for being the "murder capital" of Europe, is where composer Shane Harrington was raised. Cinemartyr is in many ways the result of a childhood forged amidst the gang feuds, burglaries and stabbings of the Southill ghetto in Limerick City. To date, Cinemartyr has released five diverse-sounding albums and has recently been featured in Brooklyn Vegan, Revolver and Decibel among many other outlets. They have worked with Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox, Dead Cross) to release our latest album OPT OUT on Light Sleeper Records. Their experimental brand of noise-rock, post-punk and industrial cites a broad range of influences including Nine Inch Nails, The Mars Volta, Fugazi, Death Grips, Swans, Show Me The Body and Hella. The lineup consists of Shane Harrington (vocals, guitars), Amber Watson (vocals, guitars), Aaron CT (bass) and David Goldman (drum).
