    Unlike anything I've ever seen

by LaurenMicha on 10/6/15Minetta Lane Theater - New York

I did not know what to expect when seeing this seeing this show. I went to support a friend who was in the show, not anticipating I would appreciate what the company was going for. However, I fell in love with the show, the cast, the acting, the dancing, the singing ... there were parts of the show when I felt so moved by the dancing and emotions that I even cried (super rare!). Yes, the dancers are wearing close to nothing most of the show, but the show and story is about so much more. The talent level is unsurpassed by anything I've seen to date. The story pulls at our raw emotions of feeling trapped, needing to please, wanting to be rescued, allowing ourselves to fall in love, feeling overlooked, and other real issues. Incredible experience, incredible talent. Definitely a real treat.

    Delicious!

by amariel1 on 10/4/15Minetta Lane - New York

Company XIV's Cinderella is a tour de force! I've always been dazzled by their work but their latest managed to exceed my expectations. Austin McCormick has created a plush, decadent world for his performers to shine within - such talent! And although this is Cinderella, Cinderella is not the centerpiece. The XIV ensemble possesses inimitable talents (um Marcy Richardson upside down, singing an aria what?!) and McCormick skillfully shows them off. This show is delicious and pleasurable while striking just enough emotional chords to make it substantive. Go, have a glass of bubbly and feel goooood!

    Would see it again! Incredible

by KVJ123 on 10/4/15minetta lane theatre - new york city

The show was great from start to finish with an interesting music score consisting of contemporary pop mashed up with classical string (I think Vivaldi, don't hold me to it.) The plot, although one well known, is interestingly and emotively portrayed with the viewer excitably awaiting each scene to unfold. The costumes are awesome, yes tiny and revealing but also whimsical and well thought out as they form part of the story and not a mere after thought. The dance as a performance was breath-taking. The choreography well thought out and timed and executed emotively. The tension/connection between the artists is palatable. My one objection is the two intermissions; which did feel a but stretched out in order to have the crowd load up on more drinks but you will get over it. Most memorable scenes for myself were the Prince's introduction to the audience and his solo performance and the step-mother's lip syncing of Edith Piaf. Not a show for everyone but worth stepping out of the box and experiencing if one is usually averse to things mislabeled as "camp". Classy production

    Stunning all around!

by NYCNicole on 9/30/15Minetta Lane Theatre - New York

I recently took my friend to see Cinderella – he’s not big on theatre so I wasn’t sure of his reaction. His review – “Awesome!” Company XIV shows are hard to describe – you really have to experience them for yourself. Their productions are a mix of burlesque, ballet, acrobatic, dance. The performers are all so individually unique and supremely talented. Aside from the music, the costumes are my favorite part of each production – simply stunning. Any show this company puts on, I’m there, and Cinderella did not disappoint!

    XIV kills it again!

by fishboyny on 9/15/15Minetta Lane - New York

I've been following this company since their Brooklyn warehouse days. Just saw a preview of Cinderella. Evil stepmom (davon rainey) is off the hook! XIV till I die thank you.
