Cincinnati Bengals Team History

The Cincinnati Bengals were founded by legendary head coach and Pro Football Hall of Famer Paul Brown, and played their first season in 1968. The Bengals got their name from Brown's coaching past, as tiger mascots had been a common thread throughout his career. The Bengals have won 11 AFC North Championship titles and three AFC Championship titles. They won their first division title as part of the AFC Central in 1970, becoming the first expansion team to win a championship in its first three years.

The Bengals first advanced to the Super Bowl during the 1981 and 1988 seasons, and then again in 2022 for Super Bowl LVI. Since 2005, the team has advanced to the playoffs nine times, including two AFC North Division titles.

    Bengles Fans

by Marg1 on 9/25/13Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

We had a great time , our seats were really good. My only thing is they were in direct sun the entire game and it got hot. Also the Bengles fans were rude and disrespectful. We left early due to the cussing and yelling they were doing in our section once the bengles went up. Need to show some class when winning. Cant be sore winners!

    Cincinnati Not For Me

by Fanzone on 9/19/13Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

I love American Football and the States but Cincinnati is not worth visiting. The Paul Brown Stadium/ Cincinnati is just not as good as many other US cities/stadiums you could spend your hard earned cash visiting. Better to go to Boston ( Foxborough)/Gillette Stadium, Heinz Field/Pittsburgh, Lucas Oil Stadium/Indianapolis, LP Field/Nashville, MetLife/New York (New Jersey) etc.

The Bengals vs Steelers atmosphere was incredible. Both teams were 0-1 and needed a win. I'm a die hard Bengal fan and was happy to finally watch them beat the Steelers. Who Dey!

    Amazing beyond words

by can545 on 1/1/13Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

the atmosphere, the stadium (all seats were good), the people, the friendliness of the workers... WOW. i would go again in a heartbeat. If only we had a stadium like this in Florida. Instead, we are stuck with Sun Life (dolphins stadium). what a disappointment after seeing the Bengals stadium. Miami, take note.

This last game of the 2012 season was my first time at Paul Brown Stadium. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease in finding affordable parking within a short walk of the stadium. Although it was COLD it was still a nice time. As I had to save in order to buy tickets for my nephews who had never been to a pro football game either, I was not too pleased that most of the regulars did not play. I understand why they were protecting them for the playoffs but it does not seem fair that you pay hard earned money to sit out in the cold for 3 hours and not get what you paid for. The seats were pretty good on the 50 yard line in the nosebled section. It was nice to experience a game in person but not sure I'd do it again . I can experience the game with better views, better play by play, better price at home. The prices are getting too high for the average wage earner to afford. i guess the NFL experience is only meant for doctors, lawyers and others with six figure incomes

Nice Cozy stadium to watch the game in

by ColumbusCowboyFan on 12/20/12Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

We had upper Level seats and the view of the field was great. It was nice to look out over the river as well. As a Fan of the visiting team, I thought the Bengal fans were very respectful. My child enjoyed the kids activities prior to the game. The food was pretty good too. And of course the best part was the bengals were gracious enough to let the Cowboys win the game too- which made for a perfect day!

    Awesome NFL Experience!!!

by Newtonsapple on 12/11/12Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

Paul Brown Stadium is a great venue that provided an awesome first NFL experience for my 7 year old son. Great game between Cowboys and Bengals, easy access from either lots on OH or KY side, within the stadium with all facilities (food/restrooms)!!!

    So So

by Jazthecat on 12/11/12Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

This was my first NFL game. I was excited to see my Cowboys play. The stadium was nice but very dark when we first walked in. The staff was very friendly but some of the fans were down right militant. I was afraid there would be a fight close to our seats in the beginning of the day. After the half were just sat in another section (closer to the 50) fully ready to get up if the owners of the seats returned. Lucky for us they did not & the rest of the day was a lot of fun.

    Oakland vs. Bengals

by Bubba0427 on 11/27/12Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

Seats were in section 305, row 6. View of the field was excellent. Only 4/5 stars due to 2 issues: (1) Fight that broke out several rows behind my seat. Stadium staff was no where to be found and sheriffs deputy didn't arrive for nearly 10 minutes. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured. (2) Concession prices are outrageous. I understand food is always going to cost more at a stadium or movie theater, but prices make an afternoon at a Bengals game financially more difficult for a family. One pretzel and a small Dr. Pepper cost me $9.50.

    Bengals vs Raiders

by soccerkid on 11/27/12Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

The seats were great, first time my boys have been to a Bengals game and the seats were close to the field. We will be going to another game, tickets came in plenty of time before the game so did not have to worry about having the tickets plus ticket master sent updates on the status of them.

    Great Day at PBS

by Bengalsbilly on 11/27/12Paul Brown Stadium - Cincinnati

Despite sitting in the nosebleed seats I had a great time with my wife and two kids. Even though there were plenty of drinks being served, people generally behaved. The sun was out most of the day so we even got to shed our big coats at the game. Everything about the game was great - a victory and the pounding of Palmer was a cherry on top. The stadium was easy to get into and out of and there were plenty of restrooms. My only complaint was the quality of soft drinks was low, although it may have been from lack of use - I think we were the only people in the section not drinking beer. I would have been too, but with the kids it wasn't the right time.
