A solid three hours of musical genius! What a fantastic show!
Great venue, great songs, great artists — Thanks, Chuck pulling together an awesome event of a lifetime!
Mike Mills. Robert McDuffie. Chuck Leavell. It doesn't get better than that on Peachtree Street! But the show was even better than I expected! Easily one of our favorite shows of the last few years!
Nice way to bring together classical and rock-n-roll music. Some awesome talent!
This was awesome! The combination of the three Georgia musicians was so great! I hope they get together again! Their choice of music and the performance of them was electric!
This was a high, super high, energy show featuring Chuck Leavell, Bobby McDuffie, and Mike Mills. It also had the Mercer Strings students in the orchestra adding to the magic. The crowd was on their feet throughout the performances which featured Georgia songs, bands, and performers. The show was truly outstanding and the encore was the icing on the cake! Bravo!
We attend a lot of concerts but this one is way at the top of the list! The musicians (including the Mercer University Strings) were amazing. Chuck Leavell, Mike Mills, and Robert McDuffie are incredible talents on their own, but put those three together and you have a musical event like no other. I know it was "A Night of Georgia Music" but they need to take this concert to every state!
Symphony Hall ROCKED with Georgia music! The selections and arrangements were fantastic. But what made the show was the unbelievable talent on stage. Mills, McDuffie, and Leavell are a considerable force of nature, and they put their very souls into it. The Mercer students, backup musicians, and conductor were icing on the cake. Just WOW!
Incredible reimagining of favorite Georgia songs and original composition blending classical and rock by major talents from both worlds backed by a wonderful string section.
A group of seven women attended the concert with me as a belated birthday celebration. We all enjoyed the concert tremendously and were among the first to stand for several standing ovations. All of our group said it was the best concert they had attended in decades.
DO IT AGAIN BUT IN ATHENS, GA! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seating was great. Music was amazing. Chuck was fantastic on the piano and Robert was absolutely amazing on the violin. Who needs a vocalist when he can make that violin sing.
We took eight, seasoned concert going friends and we were all blown away by the epic evening of music, lead and orchestrated by Chuck Leavell. He is a humble genius. The Big Band talent assembled was extraordinary, and It was great to have a surprise guest appearances by Chuck’s “Stones Family,” but the mainstay was Chuck’s awesome presence, supported by his conductor Red and the well curated set list from a deep catalog original work to eclectic covers. He made it a 100% awesome, live music experience for both the gleeful musicians, who were almost all given standout solos and the lucky audience. In an extraordinary, small venue, where everyone had a great seat the evening was magical. I heard it was live streamed and am glad others will have a chance to enjoy it, as I can’t wait to share and watch it again!
It was fantastic to see these three talents on stage celebrating for a good cause. Everyone was up on their feet!
Went to show excited about seeing Chuck Leavell but came away thrilled on seeing Michelle Malone, Randall Bramblett and of course, Chuck. All three were superb but as I suspected Chuck is phenomenal. Reinforced my pride to be a native Georgian after seeing them.
Great seats, being on the left would have been better for me. I'm a piano player
Not one minute of disappointment! It was an incredible showcase of Georgia talent. The Randall Bramblett Band and Michelle Malone were killer!! Not to mention the amazing talent of Chuck Leavell and Gregg Allman. ASO added a great touch, especially the incredible violinist!
Live show that beats the PBS concert shows. The musicians were unbelievably talented AMD the music was great.
Something for everyone. Chuck Leavell and Greg Allman are legends but Randall Bramblett should be considered in the same class (Davis Causey too). I did not know Robert McDuffie and Chuck's version of Ashokan Farewell was a stunning moment.Loved Greg singing Otis Redding
What a great show! There was such a positive vibe in Symphony Hall. It was hard to tell who enjoyed the show more--the audience or the musicians. Chuck Leavell was wonderful--great performance--but he was also so welcoming and hospitable to every musician, willing to share the spotlight.
