Chris Tomlin is a singer and songwriter in the Christian music industry, best known for huge hits like "How Great Is Our God" and "Indescribable." His live performances are treated like one big worship time, and fans can expect clear vocals, a strong faith-based message, and a full band accompaniment. Tomlin's tours include the 2018 Worship Night in America Tour, the 2017 Chris Tomlin Christmas Tour, the 2007 How Great Is Our God Tour, the 2010 Hello Tomlin Tour, the All Things New Tour and various tours with Passion Conferences. Tomlin also won Top Christian Artist and Top Christian Song at the Billboard Music Awards in 2011.

Chris Tomlin Background

Chris Tomlin was born the town of Grand Saline, Texas, on May 4, 1972. He was the oldest of three boys, and his father was the first person to introduce him to music when he gave him his first guitar. Tomlin started writing his own worship music at the young age of 14. He went to college at Texas A&M University to study physical therapy but continued to work as a worship leader at area youth conferences. In 1997, pastor and motivation speaker Louie Giglio asked Tomlin to work with Passion Conferences -- a Christian organization targeted at young adults -- and that's where his Christian music career really began. His first solo album was released in 2001, and he has had several songs hit the top of the Christian Copyright Licensing International charts. He keeps a fairly private family life, but fans can connect with him on Twitter @ christomlin

    Awesome Time of Worship!

by Alassea on 6/19/10Scottrade Center - St Louis

The Chris Tomlin Concert was amazing! Most of the lyrics were up on the screen so that the whole crowd could see and sing along in worship to the Lord most High. It was a night of powerful worship that you could feel deep within your soul, bringing you to tears from being in the awesome presence of God Almighty. The Tobymac concert was a pretty good show as well, and is definitely a lot wilder. Along with Diverse City, the stage show was definitely cool. The only complaint we had was that the sound system was too loud, so you couldn't really hear Toby well enough part of the time. I know that a rockin' Tobymac concert will be loud anyway, but, at least where we were sitting in the club seats, it was unbearably loud, even for us 20 and 21 year olds. If they lowered the instrument noise just a tad, it would have been amazing as well, instead of just average.

The Chris Tomlin & TobyMac concert was amazing. ! Chris Tomlin led us into very moving Worship and then TobyMac Rocked our faces off!!! The highlight of the night was when Chris Tomlin joined Toby onstage and they did Jesus Freak together. So fun!! I would highly recommend this to anyone. It was only their second night of the tour so it is bound to get even better.

    Chris and Toby were awesome!!

by ctmac on 6/19/10Scottrade Center - St Louis

Chris did more than put on a show, he led worship! I'm a Chris Tomlin fan and he didn't dissappoint! Toby Mac puts on a high energy show and is very entertaining. The fact he brings God in the mix makes it even better, it allows kids to hear music they like and get the message of Jesus at the same time. My son is a Toby fan and loved it!! I loved we could dance and praise God together!!!!

An Odd Mix but a Great Show!

by MusikLuv on 6/19/10Scottrade Center - St Louis

Even before ordering the tickets, I knew the show would be an odd mix. Christ Tomlin's music is mellow... TobyMac is full energy. But the show was great. More than I expected. Chris Tomlin's performance was much like his music, calm and simple. But because of the simplicity, it was a powerful and moving worship experience. He performed his well known songs, and there were many hands raised in surrender, and people singing along their praises to Him. Chris Tomlin performed four approximately one hour. TobyMac was AMAZING! He's the name on the ticket that attracted us the most, as we were taking our son with us, who thoroughly enjoys TobyMac. The energy and the lights were amazing. My son danced along the entire time and sang along to many of the songs (he's only 3). Everyone single person on the stage was full of energy and charisma. It was, by far, the best Christian concert I've ever attended. The show was great, and though the the encore was a bit cheesy, it made for a perfect ending. They performed Jesus Freak along with Chris Tomlin. The song is ancient, but it's still an anthem for those passionate about Jesus, and it reaches across many age groups.

Chris Tomlin & TobyMac were Awesome!

by PapaBear4JC on 6/19/10Scottrade Center - St Louis

A lot of people would think this an unusual pairing. But it was an amazing evening. The first half was done by Chris Tomlin and included some of the best worship songs today. Then the party really started when TobyMac hit the stage. Just an amazing night with brothers and sisters in Christ.

Chris Tomlin/TobyMac was concert of lifetime!!!!!!

by HisSarah on 6/19/10Scottrade Center - St Louis

The concert was amazing! Chris is blessed with the gift of leading worship. His songs are all wonderful. And TobyMac knows how to please the fans!! He actually came out into the audience and performed on a small stage in the middle of the floor with Gabriel and Joey. I took my daughter who is 11, and my nieces who are 16 and 18. Our seats were right next to the small stage. When Toby walked up the stairs, the girls went hysterical. They each were soooo excited that they got to see him up so close and then to touch him. Then they went back on the main stage and Chris and Toby sang together each others songs. They are so completely different but they are awesome together!!!

    Chris & Toby were INCREDIBLE

by Carolon on 6/19/10Scottrade Center - St Louis

The show was aswesome from start to finish. Praising God with a packed arena -rocking out and dancing -- and people say us Christians aren't fun! I knew it would be great but it exceeded my expectations. Thank you to these talented artists and their bands for sharing your message with us! Toby and I are the same age and he hops around like a teenager. Chris is always so sweet and gentle.
