Kernersville Fan of our Hometown Boy
by Willie’s friend on 7/22/25The Pantheon at Caesars Virginia - DanvilleRating: 5 out of 5I really didn’t know what to expect because this was a small venue close to Chris’s hometown of Kernersville. It was at the Caesars Virginia in Danville. Chris played to the local crowd of friends, relatives, and country music lovers. He brought several people on stage to sing with him, which could’ve been staged, but felt like it was impromptu and a lot of fun. He’s serenaded a little girl that he brought up on stage who had a “I love Chris Lane” sign, sat her in a chair and sang to her on bended knee, which was endearing. And he had a sing off with his identical twin brother Cory who is the band’s drummer, and the juries out who won! Ha ha ha. He shared a lot about his younger days growing up and highlighted his hit song, Shade Tree. It really did feel like the hometown boy loved being there and hanging out with people he really knew. Great job, Chris!
