CHRIS JANSON IN CONCERT:
Country singer/songwriter Chris Janson is relatively new to the scene, but he's already earning praise as the future of country music. Hot on the heels of his 2013 debut full-length, Janson released follow-up album Take It to the Bank to critical acclaim in 2014, sealing the deal with fiery blue-collar performances that have earned him a reputation as one of the genre's most exciting live acts. Whether he's giving a mean harmonica solo or waxing romantic on songs like "'Til a Woman Comes Along," Janson never fails to captivate his audiences, promising big things to come as he hits the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Missouri, Janson was working as a songwriter as early as 18 years old, collaborating with the likes of Guns N' Roses' Bill Anderson and Holly Williams, granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr. After relocating to Nashville, he landed a year-long residency at Tootsie's Orchid Lounger, where he caught the attention of Neil Young one night with a cover of Young classic "Cortez the Killer." Releasing his self-titled debut album in 2013, Janson landed two singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, "Better I Don't" and "Cut Me Some Slack," but it was his unpredictable live performances that really turned heads. Following the early-2014 release of sophomore album Take It to the Bank, Janson hit the road for a highly anticipated tour in support of the record.
Show was great! casino not so much but the show was good
We truelly enjoyed Chris Janson and his music. He was very upbeat and great music. The thing we were disappointed with was he only played for 1 hour 20 min which is to short for the money we paid. We are guessing this was the Emerald queen casino dicision so they could start there night club next door with shared bathrooms. Again no complaints for Chris Janson music it was just to short of a concert.
Very talented and keeps audience involved. Felt like a TV evangelist at times as if he was asking people to be saved! MY BIGGEST ISSUE IS IT DIDN'T LAST LONG ENOUGH FOR THE MONEY! Seriously less than an hour and half! Hell Mick and the Stones, Paul Mc each over 70 played non stop for 2 plus hours for the same money!!! The Eagles in Dallas in June played for 2.25 hours! Ok, not the near the hits I understand, but seriously it should have been longer!
From the moment of getting into the parking lot to leaving the show, everything was perfect! We found parking immediately close by and entered the event at a close entrance to the venue. From there we were escorted to our seats in the VIP section 2 by friendly staff. Chris Janson is a high energy and good vibes classic performer and we were not disappointed! I would definitely attend another show! Exiting was easy and back to I-5 and we were on our way home!
Best. Concert. Ever!!! Chris Janson is the best performer I have ever seen. He is so humble, always smiling, and that voice!!
Awesome show!! Performed his hits, performed classic rock and solid gold country hits… would definitely want to see again
The venue was clean and loved no cigarette smoke; a definite plus. Every seat in the house was a good one. Chris Janson is a class act who took time for his fans. Plus, his music is awesome! I would love to be able to write with him at least once in my lifetime.
C Janson is a showman ,singer , and entertainer. He can do a variety of different musical genres. Much interaction with the audience.
We had great seats in the pit! Chris Janson put on a fantastic performance! I love seeing concerts at the IP in Biloxi cause there is no bad seat in the place.
Great performance! Valentine gift for my husband. Very entertaining. He is very personal and his fans are important to him. Loved it.
It was an awesome experience!! Love his performance and his outlook on life!!
Everything about the concert was a pleasure - our seats, cold beer in the bucket, and most of all Chris Janson! Chris is a people person -- a sincere, good guy, and speaks for the Southern man! We will go back to see him any chance we can!
Awsome show! Chris has great energy and personality that connects him with the audience. Very, very, very entertaining. His storytelling skills with the audience and within his songs make you engaged and want to hear more of both. I had experienced Chris once before at a charity concert for St. Jude in New Orleans at the Boomtown Casino. He shared the stage with 2 other guests but he indeed took the show. This is what made me want to see him again. Now, I can't wait for another opportunity to see him in action. It was a great fun night with my husband! Thank you Chris Janson. The rock mixed with your country was Awsome!!! I wanted more. Keep them songs coming!
I am a concert junkie. I’ve been to 3 so far this month and Chris is by far one of my top 5. We saw him last year in Atmore, Alabama for the first time and will go every time his is within a couple of hours. He has so much heart and loves his “job”. He takes nothing for granted. The meet and greet was a little chaotic but he was very nice. The only complaint was the drunk guy in front of us that was fighting with his wife but that was no ones fault but his.
Chris Janson always puts on the best shows. He loves what he does and you can feel how much he loves it. I try and see him every time he comes close. He is one of my favorite performers. I’ve been to a lot of concerts and he is one of my favorites.
As usual the Steifel Theatre in Salina was a perfect small venue for this show. Chris Janson was as good an entertainer as he was a musician!! And he is an amazing musician; his harmonica playing was out of this world!! I had no idea of his vocal range and you could hear the love for his music in his voice!! His show was full of energy and "Good Vibes"!! He kept his audience engaged throughout and it was wonderful to hear the stories behind his songs.
This was a great show! If you are a country music fan, you will like him. Allot like Vince Gill with a great voice and great range. Also a personable guy who relates to his crowd. This is not a new country screamer - this guy can actually sing and play harmonica, piano and guitar.
Fun. Energetic. Motivational. Hilarious. And so much musical talent. He’s the real deal!
I have been to several concerts but this was definitely near the top of the list.
Chris is not only a great singer but an amazing performer. Loved his show ❤️❤️❤️
