CHRIS JANSON IN CONCERT:
Country singer/songwriter Chris Janson is relatively new to the scene, but he's already earning praise as the future of country music. Hot on the heels of his 2013 debut full-length, Janson released follow-up album Take It to the Bank to critical acclaim in 2014, sealing the deal with fiery blue-collar performances that have earned him a reputation as one of the genre's most exciting live acts. Whether he's giving a mean harmonica solo or waxing romantic on songs like "'Til a Woman Comes Along," Janson never fails to captivate his audiences, promising big things to come as he hits the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Missouri, Janson was working as a songwriter as early as 18 years old, collaborating with the likes of Guns N' Roses' Bill Anderson and Holly Williams, granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr. After relocating to Nashville, he landed a year-long residency at Tootsie's Orchid Lounger, where he caught the attention of Neil Young one night with a cover of Young classic "Cortez the Killer." Releasing his self-titled debut album in 2013, Janson landed two singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, "Better I Don't" and "Cut Me Some Slack," but it was his unpredictable live performances that really turned heads. Following the early-2014 release of sophomore album Take It to the Bank, Janson hit the road for a highly anticipated tour in support of the record.
Amazing show!!!! I've seen Chris Janson several times but this was the first time he headlined and he was sooooo good. Great energy, good vibes and he got the crowd going. Can't wait to see him again in December

The magic of a show at the Ryman, especially when it's Chris Janson is tough to beat. Janson's set was powerful, well orchestrated and high energy....mix in a surprise appearance by Jamey Johnson for a little tribute to Merle Haggard and of course Charles Esten jumps in to finish the show....then again, it's Nashville...pretty easy to get spoiled with the music in this city....so you need to bring it like Janson did to impress! And of course, the Ryman staff and operations are complete professionals.
Holy cow. Chris Janson is an outstanding performer! This was my first night out at the Ryman and one I will never forget. Chris and his harmonica will really getcha. Absolutely outstanding!
Two hours of great music - only negative was very long delay between opening act and Chris Jansen - otherwise great !

Chris Janson has put on a great show every time I've seen him. However, his band setup for the venue (Ryman Auditorium) was not appropriate. If you were sitting any farther back than 5 rows on the main floor, you could only see him, not his band. We simply walked up to the balcony for the rest of the show, which wasn't a problem on our end, but something to consider for those with limited mobility.
CJ put on a great show! Will definitely get tickets to see him again in the future!
Chris always puts on a great show and this show was no exception. He played all his hits and some new songs. Michael Ray was also a great opening act.

After seeing Chris Jansen play the Opry I knew he would be great in concert. Wow! We seen him at the Rhyman, not a big venue but fantastic place to see any performer. Chris Jansen keeps you entertained the entire time with his jokes, movements and of course his singing. I will definitely go see him again. We attend a lot of concerts each year and this was one of the best!

Chris Janson is one of the best performers we have ever seen -I would compare him to Mick Jagger energy-wise. Excellent voice -excellent musician-excellent performer! We would definitely go to another concert of his!! And the Ryman Auditorium was a great place to see a concert!
