CHRIS JANSON IN CONCERT:
Country singer/songwriter Chris Janson is relatively new to the scene, but he's already earning praise as the future of country music. Hot on the heels of his 2013 debut full-length, Janson released follow-up album Take It to the Bank to critical acclaim in 2014, sealing the deal with fiery blue-collar performances that have earned him a reputation as one of the genre's most exciting live acts. Whether he's giving a mean harmonica solo or waxing romantic on songs like "'Til a Woman Comes Along," Janson never fails to captivate his audiences, promising big things to come as he hits the road for his 2014 tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Missouri, Janson was working as a songwriter as early as 18 years old, collaborating with the likes of Guns N' Roses' Bill Anderson and Holly Williams, granddaughter of Hank Williams, Sr. After relocating to Nashville, he landed a year-long residency at Tootsie's Orchid Lounger, where he caught the attention of Neil Young one night with a cover of Young classic "Cortez the Killer." Releasing his self-titled debut album in 2013, Janson landed two singles on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, "Better I Don't" and "Cut Me Some Slack," but it was his unpredictable live performances that really turned heads. Following the early-2014 release of sophomore album Take It to the Bank, Janson hit the road for a highly anticipated tour in support of the record.
Chris Janson completely rocked the house! So much musical talent in a redneck rockstar who seems to appreciate everything he has, especially his fans. Thompson Square was a huge surprise. They were fabulous. I had invited friends who weren't very familiar with Chris Janson but they had a blast and will likely be CJ fans for life. I hope he comes back to TI!!!
First but definitely not last Chris Janson concert! He put on an amazing show! I couldn’t believe the energy he brought, running all over the stage. The whole performance and positive attitude was a breath of fresh air!
Thompson Square is amazing. Chris Jansen is on another level. The passion and energy he has, you can just tell that he absolutely loves what he does and the audience responds in kind! He is a whole different kind of artist! Love him!!!
Chris Janson knows how to get the most out of a crowd and has unmatched energy on stage. He literally played every instrument on stage and seemed to have a blast himself. Anytime you feel the musician is all in, the crowd is sure to follow. I will always be checking his tour dates to see when he’s in Minnesota or neighboring states!
I didn’t realize that the majority of the venue was just a flat floor which made it difficult to see. That being said, Chris Janson put on a hell of a show. He was dancing and having just as much fun as the audience. And the guy played every instrument on stage. But most impressive was his work on the harmonica. This was our first time seeing him but definitely won’t be the last.
He is so energetic and fun ! He seems so grateful and down to earth.
Such a fun date night with husband! great venue, super show and gambling, food and drinks too! Chris Janson is so positive and happy it was contagious! What a talent!
We missed the warm-up band, so don't know how that was. Chris Janson was great!

Bryan White, Thompson Square and Chris Jansen were great but the venue was horrible. The sound quality was so bad and the other patrons made it worse. Bryan White and Thompson Square did not have a band to back them up and people talked over the top of their singing, Chris Jansen had a band and was so loud there were times it was hard to make out what he was saying. The event center is a large ballroom/banquet room not a regular Theater as other casinos have so floor seat are dining room chairs. I would not go to another show at this venue.
Chris is a great entertainer- connects with his audience and lots of energy on stage. He played all the instruments on stage and I loved his acoustic older country tunes and the numbers played at the key board.
Chris Janson is such a breath of fresh air. He loves what he does & it shows with every fiber!
Bryan White was a great opener.Second time seeing Thompson Square, last time was in Walker MN and we got to meet them after the show. Chris Janson puts on a fabulous active concert. What a super experience!
Chris puts on an awesome show. Love his positive vibes. Only feedback is stand in one place longer to allow people to be in that moment. The racing back and firth takes away from that.

This was an early Christmas present for our 14 yr old nephew and his first concert. He was very good live had a great voice, very energetic, and can really play the harmonica. My nephew had to buy a hat and his new CD after the concert and all the merchandise was very reasonably priced. This was a great first concert for him and he wants to go see him again!

Makes our second time seeing him and he did not disappoint. He was born to do this! He not only performed but he also interacted with the crowd like no one else does (I mean Chris literally spoke during every song on some relatable topic, it was great) My son and I did the meet and greet too! He was great with not only my son but every kid I seen him interact with). He and my son struck up a conversation about hunting and hounds, which is all my son has told everyone about. Would definitely see him again- you will not be disappointed
Bought as a birthday gift for my 15 year old daughter. We had an absolute blast! Chris Janson is amazing Live!!!! He really gets into his performance and shows his fans an awesome time!!!
