this was my 3rd time seeing these boys live, and in the front row.. they are absolutely amazing. probably the hardest working guys in the business today. i can watch and listen to them 24/7... great energy , i was pumped with adrenaline, and probably the oldest person in the moshpit. got some great photos too..

    Eluveitie KILLED IT

by Anonymous on 3/5/12Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Great show for both bands but Eluveities stage performance was incredible. They played beautifully and never missed a beat! Great performance! hope to see them headlining a north american tour soon!

    Heavy

by JuneDee on 3/5/12Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

Their performance was great. They seemed to really enjoy what they were doing. A lot of bands take for granted their fans but not bodom. They kept the crowd into it and performed great. Not too gothicy (if you will).

    4 Great Acts

by KrevNasty on 3/5/12Starland Ballroom - Sayreville

All four bands were incredible. I had only previously listened to Bodom, but was very pleased with the other 3 bands especially Eluviete.

    Great show!

by Blackwizardzz on 3/5/12The Paramount - Huntington

Only complaint I have is that Eluveitie's Set list was way too short. Oh, and turn the sound up slightly on COB's keyboards, it made me a little sad to not be able to hear Janne's solos.

    COB and Eluveitie were amazing

    by metalhead9785 on 3/4/12The Paramount - Huntington

I arrived to the show about 10 minutes late but still enough time to see threat signal. They were alright but not great. I think they have potential for becoming a much better band. Next was Revocation. In my opinion they completely sucked. There entire set list sounded like it was just a jam session. I don't think they have any potential as a band whatsoever. They had no real rhythm or beat while they were playing they were probably the worst act that I have seen since Skrape back in '99. I would never recommend that band to anyone. I would have given the overall rating a 5 if it wasn’t for them. Eluveitie in my opinion was the best of the night. It is odd for me to say because the main reason I went was for COB I had only heard of them before but they were good things. I was completely blown away by their performance. They were energetic, and were really into the music and the crowd. The use of instruments not typically used in metal was amazing. It gave them amazing Celtic metal sound mixed with folk and melodic death metal. I would recommend them to anyone and I hope I am able to see them again soon. The only issue I have with them is when they were called out for an encore they didn’t do it. Then was Children of Bodom this was my second time seeing them. Both times I was thoroughly impressed. They played for about 80 minutes. Alexi Laiho is easily one of the greatest guitars I’ve ever heard. They are an amazing live band and I can't wait until I can see them again

The bands were unforgettable, the fans were cool and into it. The sets could have been a little longer but still a completely amazing show!

Great show, but Eluveitie blew Bodom out of the water. Came to see CoB, but left loyal to two new bands--Revocation and Eluveitie.

    Eluveitie deserves all credit

by Jaysan on 2/6/12Pops - Sauget

Eluveitie should have been the main venue. Eluveitie blew me away with their studio quality sound! I didn't like Children of Boom at all!! They royally sucked!! The other bands were no different. They paled in comparison to Eluveitie talents! I will definitely be attending another concert, hopefully with Eluveitie as the main event!

Sitting through the opening acts was pretty painful, but totally worth it once COB came on. Great to see them in such a small "intimate" venue. No matter where you stood in the crowd, you were close. Since it was their 15th Anniversary tour I wish they would have played a bit more "old school" material (wanted to hear Needled 24/7 SO badly), but it was still a pretty diverse set list. Overall an awesome show; decent crowd, good pit, bad ass performance.

    COB Fantastic as always!

    by ssjcody4 on 2/1/12Reverb - Reading

The lineup was great with 3 great entertaining bands opening up for COB. But COB was definitely the best aspect hands down. Performing songs like Kissing the Shadows and classics like Downfall, not one disappointing aspect whatsoever. The Reverb was a perfect sized venue for the group and there wasn't a bad spot in the entire place to watch the show. Lighting was excellent and sound was top notch, if you haven't seen Bodom yet, I would highly recommend it.

COB : A day I will never forget!

by larsonglen on 8/4/11Best Buy Theater - New York

Now, I'm a Guy who's been a ardent fan of Children Of Bodom for a very long time. Being in India did Not help, because irrespective of the bands that were then pouring in, I could predict that COB was not gonna step onto my country soil anytime soon. Forgetting and Forgiving, I landed in New York to pursue my career. And on one of the finest of nights in times square, Children Of Bodom decided to play in The Best Buy Theatre. It was undeniable, NO WAY am i gonna miss this opportunity (literally handed to me on a silver platter) And OH MY GOD, was it worth you ask. HELL YEAH!! Mosh Pits everywhere...Awesome headlining bands (Devin Townsend Project :O !!) and ofcourse, the Immaculate COB!! I was drowning in the melodi-city of their aura.. screaming my lungs out.. experiencing alexi's fastest fingers live.. it was a dream COMETH TRUEST!!

The tour was really good. I've never heard of Septic Flesh, and I thought they were kinda bad live, but the other two opening acts, Obscura and Devin Townsend, were really good. Sure, the Trocadero doesn't have the best acoustics, but that didn't stop everyone from having a good time!
