    chickenfoot and Blackstone Cherry rocked!

by SA1974 on 6/16/12Beacon Theatre - New York

What a great night at the Beacon Theater!. The opening act Blackstone Cherry although a young band with 3 cds under their belt, played like rock veterans rocking the house with a good mix of songs from their young history even covering an Amy Winehouse song even though I am not a fan of hers. They were really a great warmup to the Headliners. This was the first time I got to see Chickenfoot and they did not disappoint. They played a great array tracks from their 2 cds. Joe Satriani was amazing as usual. Sammy Hagar sounded in top form (no surprise there!). He spoke to the crowd and interacted with his bandmates in such a relaxed manor, you thought you were just hanging out with them in the back yard ( A far cry from the tension that is filled with his previous band). Michael Anthony was his usual solid background singer and bassist providing a solid bottom end along with Chad Smith's tour replacement Kenny Aronoff who did a fantastic job in his stead. They ended the show with a tribute to Sammy's late former bandmate and legendary guitarist Ronnie Montrose with a great version of Rock Candy. I would definitely tell everyone who is a rock and hard rock fan to check out Chickenfoot if they are in your area. You will have a blast!

    Chickenfoot totally Rocked !!

by MrVolume on 6/16/12Beacon Theatre - New York

Great night. Great to see Sammy still belt out songs, Forgot how Michael Anthony can sing and what a bass man. Joe - Oh Joe!! Drum man was kicking it. Great new "album".!! Can't help it but will compare to VH. Saw the reborn VH last month, and Wolf is settling in, but no Mikey by a longshot. Eddie was absolutely awesome as the first VH tune ever heard. Alex rocks. Have to say, David Lee Roth in his prime was Diamond Dave, but now is just plain bad.... all image. But great to hear the old tunes. New Chickenfoot CD blows away new VH CD. LOVE THE CHICKENFOOT!!! Chickenfoot, a nutty name, but what a band!!!! I will see them anytime. Over and Out. Mr. V.

CHICKENFOOT ROCKS THE HOUSE OF BLUES IN AC

by Tarkustoo on 6/16/12House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic City

First off, The House of Blues is a great Venue for a concert. Casual polite crowd, easy access to beer and you can see great everywhere. We walked right in and planted ourselves four deep from the stage right in front of Joe. Blackstone Cherry was a good warm up band. They came on like they were shot out of a cannon. The veterans took the staged and proceeded to amaze the crowd with an epic display of showmanship and talent crafted over many years. I don;t have enough positive adjectives to explain what a fantastic night it was and how talented these guys are. They all worked so hard to put on the best show possible and the sound was amazingly tight. I will see these guys every chance i get. Thanks for letting me come to your party Chickenfoot!

    The Foot!

by owsbeast on 6/15/12The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Have to say even without Chad they put on an awesome show. I only say that because you're there to see all the members of Chickenfoot, but Kenny kicked ass! I want to give props to Black Stone Cherry. They got a new fan.

    Chickenfoot dropped the foot !

by MartinEarhart on 6/15/12The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Amazing show - great sound and LOUD. Joe was his super human alien self, Mike rocking the bass with perfect vocals, Sammy the perfect front man and solid drums. I wish they would have played Come Closer and Foxy Lady, but a solid set none the less.

Chickenfoot - how could you not like it?

by TinleyBebs on 6/15/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Loved Sammy's energy, voice, and warmth. Didn't play one of my favorites...come closer... but did not disappoint with the other songs. The rest of the band didn't seem as enthusiastic but they did sound good. The venue was intimate but the concert goer on the side of me took close to half my seat and smelled truly bad. Unfortunately, as much as I tried to block that it was a hurdle I couldn't get over. My fault, I should have asked if I could move.

    Chickenfoot was just INCREDIBLE!

    by srvfan70 on 6/14/12Orpheum Theatre - Boston

This was one incredible concert. Held at the small venue in Boston at the Orpheum, a great place to see a concert. Chickenfoot came out and was just incredible. They played for just short of two hours. Everyone in the band sounded great. Sammy Hagar,s vocals were outstanding and Joe Satriani's guitar playing hasn't lost anything over the years. I had great seats which made it an even better show. Well worth the money seeing these guys. I have seen Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar with Van Halen, but they have not lost a beat.

    mixed feelings

by tk21 on 6/14/12The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

The good first: the band was great. They sounded great. good energy, they got the crowd engaged. The Bad: they only played for 1 hr & 35 min. Really!?! We were just getting warmed up & they were done. And speaking of done NO ENCORE??? What band does not do an encore? They did a little fake one but no one left the stage, the way Sammy talked I expected at least another hour of play, but he had the fake encore played a couple more songs & was done. Also with all the talant on stage & all the different bands between them I was hoping for some outside music, a little Montrose, Sammy era Van Halen, any one of Sammy's great solo hits, Joe's guitar solo, but no. I saw the Eagles in the early 80's & the band covered a couple solo songs from each member. It was great, you got the Eagles plus a little bonus. Too bad Sammy didn't do that, he had plenty of time, only playing 1.35. Just sayin.
