About

What would you do for fame? If you're Roxy Hart, you'd lie, cheat...even kill. "Chicago" is the critically acclaimed musical written by Tony Award winners Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse with an amazing score by John Kander that tells the story of a not-so-ordinary housewife obsessed with the spotlight and the lengths that she'll go to keep it. One of the most compelling musicals to hit the stage, "Chicago" is a theatrical experience not to be missed.

    CHICAGO, BLOWN AWAY!!

by KatJoy on 10/20/14Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - Montgomery

WONDERFUL PERFORMANCE!! There is something special in a live theatre and this cast is outstanding. The music and dancing were spectacular and even with my not-too-close seats, the dialogue was clear. A fabulous evening out!

    A Bit of a Letdown

by TuesdayShow on 10/17/14Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - Montgomery

Unfortunately, I found myself a bit disappointed in the show. I don't think anything was wrong with the performance itself- the actors were good and the orchestra was wonderful, and it had excellent choreography. I think the show itself is just showing its age a bit, and the whole thing seemed a bit tired. I know the show is definitely getting up there in age, but it doesn't seem to be aging well. I did love the actress who played Roxie and the actor who played Billy Flynn was fantastic, and many of the musical numbers were fantastic, but this isn't a show I would see again.

Another memorable moment at MPAC. We've seen Chicago several times in the past. This production really was a good one. Non stop entertainment.

    Better than the movie!

by Bingo1974 on 10/16/14Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - Montgomery

Outstanding evening. The performers were amazing. From the last row in the Orchestra we had great seats to see and hear everything. Well worth the money. Would love to see it again. I especially enjoyed the lead role of Roxie. The movie version showed off Catherine Zeta Jones as Velma Kelly better than Rene Zellweger as Roxie Hart, but this stage production really made Roxie the star of the show.

A Live viewing of Chicago was priceless!

by NikkiPlum on 10/16/14Montgomery Performing Arts Centre - Montgomery

The show was fun! I'd think about the maturity of any children before bringing them, as there is some adult humor. It might make grandma blush as well! But over all, I had fun.
