About

Chicago, at first dubbed The Chicago Transit Authority, immediately stood out due to their unique, horn-driven instrumentation and top-notch songwriting, a combination that quickly found a home on  free-form FM radio in the late '60s. After 45-plus years in business, Chicago's music has never left the airwaves and the band remains on tour more often than not, playing concerts in every corner of North America. With a catalog of hits  including "Saturday in the Park," "Beginnings," "If You Leave Me Now," "Baby What a Big Surprise," "You're the Inspiration," and "Hard Habit To Break," fans are always eager to snap up tickets to catch one of the most successful American rock bands in history. Four members of the group's current lineup -- vocalist/guitarist/keyboardist Robert Lamm and horn section members Lee Loughnane, James Pankow and Walter Parazaider -- date back to Chicago's formation in 1967. Even today, the band isn't just about nostalgia; Chicago continues to record new singles and albums regularly.

  • Awsome Concert

by Dan R on 11/19/25Dacotah Bank Center - BrookingsRating: 5 out of 5

It was a 2 1/2 hour concert with a 20 min. intermission. They started exactly on time and did not stop for anything. The performance was very good considering that the band is 60 years older than when they started performing. 3 of the members are original to the group. They have hired new members that are as talented as the original performers. It is definitly worth the price charged and is a for sure go to if you want to see the band with some of the original members.

  • Loved Chicago

Excellent venue & show. Would do it all over again if they come back.

Just as good as they were 35 years ago! Unreal musicians who LOVE their job! I'd go see them again next week if I could. The venue doesn't have a bad seat in the house. What an experiece. AWESOME NIGHT!

  • Great concert!

by Hans on 11/19/25Dacotah Bank Center - BrookingsRating: 5 out of 5

We were there March of 1975 when they played Frost Arena. Some are showing their age, but far better than I had hoped!

  • Make Me Smile

by Sherry on 11/19/25Dacotah Bank Center - BrookingsRating: 5 out of 5

Awesome adulterated entertainment for those of us who were in high school and college at that time. It brought back a flood of memories that was so much fun. My only regret was that my husband could not go with me because he was in the hospital. He only asked me if they played 'Make Me Smile'. Yes! Yes! Yes! Chicago made everybody smile!

  • One of my favorite concerts

  • Great time

by Music Lover on 11/19/25Dacotah Bank Center - BrookingsRating: 5 out of 5

Chicago has been a favorite band of mine since the 1970’s. I love their solid brass sound and they didn’t disappoint. They have had so many number one hits, that all of the songs they play are fun to listen to. It’s also a great thing that 3 of the members of the group are original. Their concert was exceptional which was not a surprise. This band will always be a favorite of mine.

  • Spectacular!

by MusiC on 11/19/25Stephens Auditorium - AmesRating: 5 out of 5

My husband and I have been at Stephen's Auditorium in Ames, Iowa to see Chicago perform. Its easy to purchase tickets, select our seats, and easy to get to venue. Their music takes us back to our youth. Especially since I played the saxophone in band and we played some of their songs! Next time they're in Ames, were taking our grandson. He's excited!
