Chicago Bears History

As one of the founding franchises of the National Football League, the Chicago Bears were established in 1920 as the Decatur Staleys by legendary player, coach and owner George S. Halas. The team moved to Chicago in 1921 and has gone on to win nine championships, including Super Bowl XX in 1986.

The Bears have 35 players in the Hall of Fame, the most of any NFL team. In the community, the Bears strive to be leaders throughout Chicago and its suburbs by supporting initiatives focused on social justice, youth football, health and fitness, volunteerism and civic involvement, and education. Bears players participate in community outreach events throughout the season. Bears Care, the team's charitable arm, has issued grants totaling nearly $27 million to 100-plus qualifying agencies.

    Exciting and involved

by Nala on 8/17/21Soldier Field - Chicago

This was my Boyfriend and I's 1st ever Bears game. We loved the whole experience inside and out. They kept you involved during the game and then outside before everyone was so helpful and nice. We would love to come back for more but just can not afford the prices. Thats why we had to come to a pre season game. Maybe we will try to save up for a regular season game for next year because we just loved the environment! Go Bears!!!

    Had a blast!

by Izzy on 11/27/19Soldier Field - Chicago

Only issue I had was that the staff had absolutely no idea what section to send us to when we couldn’t find our seats. We were sent off 3 times. Once we found our seats though, we had a blast! The stadium people were full of energy and will definitely be attending another bears game in Chicago again.

    Nightmare at Soldier Field

by Will on 10/30/19Soldier Field - Chicago

Beautiful day ,great atmosphere. People from everywhere that you can ever imagine. Tailgating socializing having fun. Big and small short and tall young and old just waiting for the game kickoff. Not exspecting for things to turn out the way they did and the Chargers walking away with the victory. But still there was thrills and chills and excitement thick in the air.Fans disapointed yet some over joyed with the win.Nonetheless come November we will be back cheering on our Bears again!!!!

    The BEARS--Great Experience

by crisandy on 10/2/19Soldier Field - Chicago

First of all, let me tell you that there is nothing like being at Soldier Field for a Bears game. What an impressive sight--inside and out. Historical to modern. Clean. Well-lit. Nice shopping and good food services. But best of all was inside where the seats were comfortable, the view like a big-screen TV, and the monitors scattered around providing instant replays. Then there was the game. It didn't hurt one bit that I am a Bears fan, and the Bears won! If I lived close, I would have season tickets. Just a great experience!

Game was great, seats were not what we expected.

by Angie on 10/2/19Soldier Field - Chicago

We purchased tickets in section 112. They were under a roof and was the last row away from the field. That did not show in the picture when we purchased the tickets. We ended up moving later in the game but for the price we paid, it was disappointing.

    Visiting and saw the game

    by K. A. on 9/8/19Soldier Field - Chicago

Wife and I were in Chicago to see our daughter graduate from Navy bootcamp and decided to catch the game. We are Raider fans. R4L Solider Field was amazing. Fan were nice and were high-fiven us (we wore our Raider jerseys) and wishing us the best. Not a bad thing I can saw about the fans. The game, well, you watched it.

Got a chance to see the Eagles playoff game section 248 row 10. Seats were amazing and as 1 of very few Eagles fans in Chicago the fans around me were really cool. Better than some other places I've been!! The entire atmosphere at Soldier Field was great.
