Charlotte Cardin In Concert
Canadian singer-songwriter Charlotte Cardin's sultry voice, unflinching lyrics, and brooding blend of pop, jazz, R&B, and electronica are making her a hot ticket on the touring circuit. But the willowy Québéc-bred talent was already turning heads before devoting herself to a career in music.
Born in Montreal in 1994, Cardin was a successful fashion model while still in high school. A singer throughout her life, she began writing songs as a teenager. In 2013, Cardin's passion and talent landed her a chance to compete on La Voix (the French-Canadian equivalent of TV's The Voice). She covered Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good," easily evoking the late British diva, and came in fourth place.
Her experience in the limelight encouraged Cardin to set aside her medical studies and pursue music as a career. After a few years of writing, vocal practice, and development of her unique personal style, Cardin released the EP Big Boy in 2016 and followed it a year later with the full album Main Girl, which added new songs to her EP's French and English tracks. This heady mix of brooding tunes and sophisticated electro-pop earned her Juno Award nominations for both Breakthrough Artist and Songwriter of the Year. Shot in Iceland, the emotionally wrenching "Main Girl" video has been viewed more than 10 million times.
Comfortable in front of both cameras and audiences, Cardin started touring seriously in 2016. She visited the United States with singer-songwriter Nick Murphy (formerly Chet Faker) and played sold-out shows supporting the gender-bending singer Børns.
Cardin's songs draw more from observation than from personal experience, she says, but she obviously has a knack for conveying the exquisite agony of unattainable love. Haunting tracks like "Dirty Dirty," "Big Boy," and "Like It Doesn't Hurt" (which includes a cameo from Montreal rapper Husser) escape pop pigeonholing entirely while still delivering memorable hooks. A talent to watch, Charlotte Cardin is more than ready for her close-up.

We loved every minute of this concert. Charlotte is a great singer and live performer. Every song was fantastic. Great vibe in the air
Great all around person and performance. Ran into her outside, she was so sweet and was willing to take photos, very down to earth and a generational talent!
What a show. She sounded amazing, tons of energy and really interacted well with the crowd.
Amazing venue and singer but the audio was hard to understand the words the singer was singing. Even knowing the words it's was almost impossible to distinguish the words. I think the issue is with the audio system setup.
Before going to this event, I was not familiar with any of Charlotte Cardin's music. I left the event feeling as if I witnessed a special and gifted talent. I was captivated from the time she took the stage. Incredibly soulful sounding vocals layered over really cool beats. Outstanding stage presence. At one point there was this heart felt moment when she brought the tempo down to a brief pause that captivated the entire crowd, including the working staff to the point of complete silence. I feel like I witnessed someone who's going to advance far in the music industry.
Charlotte was great. Very entertaining with an amazing voice.
She was absolutely incredible. Vocals, ambiance, piano and guitar. Absolutely perfect.
Such a well produced concert. As tight and disciplined as a Beyonce concert and so loved by her fans. So much fun.
Charlotte Cardin made an amazing performance in a very small venue which made the experience very unique
We saw her last time she came to Boston and it was an amazing concert. This time around it was just a good concert , the sound was too much saturated very average The show as always with her amazing as she is stellar but two songs encore with no dirty dirty or other classic so she did her show nothing more dommage !!!!!
When I purchased these tickets I thought it would be a regular concert but to my utmost surprise it was a whole dang Award show and the experience EXCEEDED my expextations. My friend and I had the best time ever watching Canadian legends and emerging artists perform before we made it to the main event, Charlotte Cardin who was radiant and electric as per usual. If I could give a 6/5 for her performance I would.
Charlotte Cardin was AMAZING. Once she came on at 10:00pm. The show was advertised and sold solely as a Charlotte Cardin concert starting at 7pm and unbeknown to many people there (I spoke the 5 different groups of people) there was a three hour awards show in the space before the concert started. Nobody cared about the awards show and there for no one would have came and they used Charlotte Cardin as bait to get an audience. Really annoying because we wasted 3 hours not knowing if or when Charlotte Cardin going to play. But once she did finally start it was a fantastic show.
The stars are for Charlotte as she’s always brilliant - and the reason why I bought the ticket. I would give her 5 no question. But have to go with 2 due to the absolute sh*tshow that transpired. Originally, it stated “doors at 7, show at 8, support tbc”. 3 hours before the show it was announced there was an awards show. No one who purchased tickets knew this. It ended up being a very confusing and disappointing night. I 100% support Canadian music, and if I wanted to go to the awards show I would’ve bought tickets for that without issue. But I purchased tickets to see Charlotte. This “bait and switch” tv Live Nation, the Indies, and Ticketmaster was so disappointing and given that half the audience was there for the awards they talked throughout her entire performance. Overall this put a massive damper on the evening and did Charlotte a massive disservice. We, and she, deserved way more respect than this.
We were very disappointed that Charlotte Cardin started at 10pm and that the Music Awards were not mentioned until we arrived at the History. We didn’t want to watch the Awards and we would have sold our tickets. It’s not like it was the Grammy’s
Voix incroyable! Elle bouge bien. Magnifique spectacle!! Merci Charlotte Cardin!!!!
over and above expectations! charlotte is a true performer, artiste in so many ways! the venue was intimate allowed great ambiance and views for all to enjoy , merci charlotte de nous refaire vivre après ses deux ans!
Her voice is so special and sounds amazing in real life, the same as in her music! Her energy on scene is fantastic and makes the crowd go all out During this show I danced, I sang, I cried, I jumped, a wonderful experience that made me feel all types of emotions And the finale with Patrick Watson, I’m speechless. It gave me chills from head to toe.
Amazing and perfect show. I would definitely pay to see Charlotte Cardin again!
