  • Great show

by Rjsmooth on 9/26/22Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 4 out of 5

Charlie was hilarious. Pricey beers and the theater was pretty hot. Overall very good.

  • Charlie is funny

by Lemon on 9/26/22Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

I am from Wisconsin and Charlie is fantastic and funny. Enjoyed his show very much.

  • EHH!

by Chase on 9/26/22Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 2 out of 5

The little videos he puts on the internet were much funnier the he is Live!

  • Loved it!

by Gina T on 9/26/22Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 5 out of 5

Charlie and his sidekick did a great job! We laughed all night and really enjoyed it! This was a birthday gift for my husband and he loved it!

  • loved it!

Was looking fwd to seeing him live and was not disappointed. The way he interacted with the crowd and was quick on his feet was fun. Did not really care for the guitar guy, but that's just me. Enjoyed a Brandy Old Fashioned before the show and felt like I was tailgating to some extent.

Charlie Berens, is one funny guy. Down to earth and genuine. Had us laughing the entire show. We would see him again in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!!!

  • Not as good as Facebook videos

by ButtScooter on 9/26/22Coronado Performing Arts Center - RockfordRating: 2 out of 5

I really enjoyed his Facebook videos and love the Wisconsin humor because it brings back memories of growing up in Wisconsin. The live show is not funny at all. The friend he brings with should have acted out skits not a duet or solo songs. Very disappointing. Same sentiment from others that attended and I spoke to.

  • Just ok

by Jenn on 9/15/22Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 3 out of 5

A little disappointed in the show. Too much singing of not funny songs I think he needs to come up with some new material. Still love him though. His opening comic was good

  • Good Show!

by Red on 9/15/22Five Flags Center - DubuqueRating: 5 out of 5

Good comedy and music. Relied on wit instead of cursing/vulgarity to entertain. Had never heard of him until this show. Will go see him again when he tours the area again. Will recommend to freinds to see him live.

  • a great show/experience

by Lynne on 9/15/22Five Flags Center - DubuqueRating: 5 out of 5

What you see on Charlie's youtube is almost exactly what you get: Manitowoc Minute, Craigslist Kicker, buddy sing-alongs, but what made it more of an experience was that he knew of local towns/fixtures, which it made it feel more authentic than if it were just passing commentary. Maybe it's because he's a "local guy", but sharing bits about growing up, family stories, if felt like we were sharing time with family, not just seeing a celebrity/comedian.

Overall a good experience! If your from Wisconsin.. Charlie is pretty cool! My husband was not as entertained as myself, but he is a bears fan!!! HA!!! He did laugh so I said..boom success.

  • Okay.

by HK on 9/14/22Rating: 3 out of 5

Charlie’s videos online are a lot funnier than live. I thought the songs were really cheesy. I personally thought it was tooo much songs. not enough jokes. That’s just me though. I don’t really care for songs. It’s a comedy show not a concert. He interacted with the crowd a lot which was awesome. Still love him but I expected more. First half of the show was so much more funny than the last half.

  • Great show! Absolutely Hilarious!

by Brett M on 9/14/22Five Flags Center - DubuqueRating: 5 out of 5

I saw Charlie and a couple of his friends that opened, and came back out throughout Charlie’s set. They were hilarious. Charlie spends a ton of time interacting with the fans. All the stories had us dying. It was a great show and we will definitely see him again next time he’s close to Dubuque!

  • Hilarious

This show was hilarious! I laughed so hard I was crying a couple of times! 10/10 recommend seeing him!

  • Great Time!

Charlie and crew were wonderful to laugh, interact with and watch. Definitely a must see if he is in the area!

  • Okay

by Lost Time on 9/14/22Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 2 out of 5

He started 15 minutes late. The jokes about the names of cities is old, heard it before. His comedic timing is off, he just rants on. The songs were really corny. The news headlines was the best part.

  • Great show

by BP on 9/13/22Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 4 out of 5

charlie himself 5 stars. room for improvement would be getting sound projected better to upper deck. now with that said charlie Berens i heard fine for the most part. but the others not so much had the same experience a couple weeks before that show at the adler as well. other than that staff was helpful and place was clean.

  • Lacked polish

by Lisa on 9/13/22Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 3 out of 5

I was expecting more from Charlie’s show. He had a few technical issues, which may have been the venue’s fault more than his, but the material itself also lacked freshness. If you’ve seen his online content, you’ve seen his show. I still enjoyed myself, but I did walk away feeling like the show underdelivered.

  • Disappointing Performance

by Stranded in Iowa on 9/13/22Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 2 out of 5

I was expecting so much more from Charlie and I’m not sure where to place the blame for a well below average show. The 2 acts before him were not up to the task , the venue lacked the video capability he needed, and, with the exception of a couple rounds of material, Charlie dropped the ball.

  • By golly a great time

by FIB on 9/13/22Adler Theatre - DavenportRating: 3 out of 5

Love his comedy. I liked his quick response to audience remarks. Took interruption from crowd and turned it into something funny. Disappointed just a bit on organization. Could have flowed better. There is enough politics in the world. He had one small comment about lying president that tarnished mood slightly. Overall a great time.
