Charlie Berens Tickets

Charlie Berens is a polished stand-up. His act was on-point, but never felt canned or filler. He was natural in reacting to the audience and his use of video clips and news headlines provided a second wind to the performance where many comedians lose steam as they use up their best material. I didn't know if the Midwest schtick would play well for an entire headline performance, but Charlie Berens pulled it off.

Charlie was hilarious! The comedian before him, I don't remember her name, was also very good! Definitely would see him again! The only small issue was getting into the venue. I don't know what the deal was, but we were in line for 45 minutes prior to getting into the venue.

Yes, we knew the doors opened at 6. To us that meant we had time for dinner before the show. We arrived at the venue at 6:40 to a line that went around the block and didn't get us inside until 7:25. My guess is that most of the crowd thought the same thing because it was close to 8 before things got started. Please make it clear to those of us who don't splurge on a show often, what to expect. The show was great!

Getting into Five Flags, getting a drink and finding our seats was quick and easy. The opening act was funny and got us excited for Charlie! Charlie was as funny as we expected, if not funnier. He covered many topics that were relevant to our family (there were 8 of us there), so that made it even more fun! We all agreed that we would come back and see him again. The only suggestion I would make is that if there is going to be an intermission, to announce that at the start of the show. Several of us ran out to get another drink, missing part of the show, only to have him go to intermission a short time later. If we had known, we would have waited.

Seeing Charlie Berens live has been a bucket list item since I watched his earliest Manitowoc Minute videos. I feel like my honorary citizenship to the great state of Wisconsin is confirmed. The fact that he sounds like my Aunt Clara if she ever did standup is a bonus. He makes me want to run to the nearest KwikTrip, grab a six of Leinies, and keep 'er movin' while watching out for deer. He sold out Dubuque twice for good reason.

Had a great time. Highly recommend, especially if you are from the Midwest.

Honestly, I peed my pants from laughing so hard. No joke. Don't miss this show.

He was not as good at stand up as he is on the videos he creates. But the video with his grandma was great. It just seemed more insulting to midwesterners. Like we are all hicks.

Charlie's humor is very relatable. Although he has a few suggestive jokes, most is pretty wholesome. His opener (sorry, I've forgotten his name) is funny and clever. It was a good time.

Would go again! My husband hadn't heard of him,so I decided to take him. He really enjoyed it!
